MALKWAL I TOUR ON BIKE I FRIENDS I Moments I Victoria Bridge I Pakistan Railways Malakwal I P D Khan

It was an invitation from a very close friend to visit his city where he is living. The City Malkwal we friends visited on bikes and trust the fun in riding a bike is unbeatable. You can have full view of surroundings and can talk loudly with others. We visited an old railway station there and the place was so mesmerizing. The Victoria Bridge was kind of adventurous.
A train traveling on a Small Train route of Pakistan national Railway. A journey Documentary on Pakistan Railway Shuttle 1 PDk. Malkwal to Pind Dadan Khan almost 17- 19 km Short Train Route Traveling crossing Victoria Bridge on River Jhelum. Victoria Bridge was constructed in 1887 as the part of West Indian Railway Now is Pakistan Railway. The train takes 30 minutes to reach P D Khan.
Malakwal–Khushab branch line is one of several branch lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line begins from Malakwal Junction station and ends at Khushab Junction station. The total length of this railway line is 92 kilometers 57 miles There are 14 railway stations from Malakwal Junction to Khushab Junction, At present, rail traffic on this line is suspended.
The Malakwal–Khushab branch line was built as part of the Sind–Sagar Railway between 1884 and 1939. In May 1887, the Victoria Bridge was completed over the Jhelum river between Malakwal and Chak Nizam, and a railway line was constructed from Malakwal to Khushab. The line was conceived to haul freight from the mining rich region and served two important smaller railways: the Gharibwal Cement Works Railway and the Dandot Light Railway serving the Khewra Salt Mine. In 1939, the Victoria bridge had to be completely re-girded on the old piers when the bridge proved to be incapable of taking increased rail traffic.
The Dandot Light Railway opened in 1905 as a 10 kilometers 2 ft narrow gauge railway from Dandot railway station to Chalisa Junction railway station. It was built to serve the Khewra Salt Mine.
The Gharibwal Cement Works Railway opened in May 1886 as a 27 kilometers 5 foot 6-inch broad gauge railway from Haranpur Junction to Gharibwal. It was built to serve the Gharibwal quarry.

Out Of The Ordinary Branch Line | Lush Green Travel | Lalamusa to Malakwal on Chenab Express

Hello Everyone, Today I am here with a brand new train journey vlog and this time it is on a less traveled branch line. This branch line is known as Shorkot-Lalamusa branch line and in this vlog, I am traveling a short journey from Lalamusa to Malakwal. This journey was done on a passenger train named Chenab Express which is also known as Dhamaka Express. My journey was amazing as I cherished my old memories of Lalamusa Junction, had lunch from one of local restaurant near railway station and then had blasting train journey with GMCU-15 locomotive. The area around this branch line is absolutely amazing with lush green views.. and I simply loved it..

Many people have asked to support my journeys.. If you want to support Pak Railography to cover far flung areas in the country, you can support by buying a coffee for me: and have a good day everyone !!

Hello Guys this video is about how to travel Malakwal from Rawalpindi by taking two trains in a day
The fastest way to travel to Malakwal junction is to take 46DN Pakistan Express from Rawalpindi at 6:00am till Lalamusa junction,

Victoria Bridge Longest Bridges in Pakistan I Malakwal oldest bridge I Unbelievable Bridges I
The Malakwal–Khushab branch line was built as part of the Sind–Sagar Railway between 1884 and 1939. In May 1887, the Victoria Bridge was completed over the Jhelum river between Malakwal and Chak Nizam and a railway line was constructed from Malakwal to Khushab. The line was conceived to haul freight from the mining rich region and served two important smaller railways: the Gharibwal Cement Works Railway and the Dandot Light Railway (serving the Khewra Salt Mine). In 1939, the Victoria bridge had to be completely re-girdered on the old piers when the bridge proved to be incapable of taking increased rail traffic.

History of Malakwal
In 997 CE, Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi, took over the Ghaznavid dynasty empire established by his father, Sultan Sebuktegin. In 1005 he conquered the Shahis in Kabul in 1005, and followed it by the conquests of Punjab region. The Delhi Sultanate and later Mughal Empire ruled the region. The Punjab region became predominantly Muslim due to missionary Sufi saints whose dargahs dot the landscape of Punjab region.

After the formation of the Sikh Empire in 1801, Malakwal was invaded and occupied by Sikhs. During the period of British rule, Malakwal increased in population and importance.

The predominantly Muslim population supported Muslim League and Pakistan Movement. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, the minority Hindus and Sikhs migrated to India while the Muslims refugees from India settled down here.
