Karaj is known as one of the metropolises of Iran, which is located at the foot of the Alborz Mountains. After Tehran, Karaj is the largest immigrant city in Iran and therefore has a young population. With its ancient history and civilization and its special geographical location, the list of tourist attractions of Karaj is rich. More than 100 works of cultural, historical and artistic value have been registered in this city. In the recent past, the city of Karaj, due to the favorable climate and the existence of water resources such as the Karaj River, has been a beautiful and green city garden with countless ancient trees and we see green parks and tourist areas such as Chalous Road, Apple Garden in Mehrshahr and Shahid Chamran Park.Karaj climate region is one of the most important flower growing areas in Iran and Shabcheragh flower can be produced and grown exceptionally only in this region. Dr. Chamran Park starts from the middle of Sar Sabz Boulevard, the main entrance of the city of Karaj, which is of the same name, and covers a wide area up to the Clock Hills and the entrance of Chalous Road.
The Karaj River flows through this semi-natural park, and the banks of this river have created a suitable recreation area for the people of Karaj during the holidays. This park also has a beautiful and well-equipped play city, which was selected as a model country in 1390. The area of this park is about 40 hectares.

This garden was built in 2005 by the Parks and Green Space Organization of Karaj Municipality on a land with an area of 30,000 square meters, in which more than 300 plant species including crocus, clove, succulent, jasmine, purple, pomegranate and various other types. There are plants and flowers. The largest flower carpet in the Middle East is also decorated in this garden.
Every year in the spring, a tulip festival is held in this flower garden. One of the purposes of holding this festival is to introduce Karaj Flower Garden as one of the tourist attractions of Alborz province.
