Bosnia & Herzegovina: Across Sarajevo, Konjic & Mostar

This is a bit of an unusual destination, but we recently travelled to the Balkans to Bosnia & Herzegovina. This was after a wild transit detour taking up an entire day from Kuala Lumpur to Doha to Istanbul before finally making it to Sarajevo due to flight departure delays in KLIA.

Bosnia's a beautiful and scenic but once war-torn country, having seen both the beginning of World War I as well as, more recently, the Bosnian War in the early 90's which broke up former Yugoslavia. As a result, many buildings particularly along the north bank of the Miljacka River running through Sarajevo remain scarred with bullet holes from small arms fire, while numerous areas are marked for still active landmines far outside the cities.

If you're interested in travelling to Europe without the weight of the Euro bearing down on our wallets, this is a fantastic destination that's rich in history and culture - with plenty of heart. With about half its population being Muslim, halal food will be an easy find for Muslim travellers.

Where not to stay in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina. I followed Rick Steves’ guidebook

My experience in Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina

Instagram: massi382003

I followed Rick Steves’ guidebook when I visited Sarajevo in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The location of the hotel was very good but the hotel itself was not satisfactory at all. The hotel had too many flaws and it was a very low quality hotel in every way and it wasn’t cheap either for the horrible service they provided. Do not stay at hotel central when visiting sarajevo.

A Day in Mostar | a living fairytale in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Mostar is one of the hidden gems of the Balkans. Get lost inside the old town is the best idea I’d suggest you to do!

Having 50% of moslem population in the country, you will surely hear the sound of adzan for five times in a day. To me, it’s what makes Mostar is so special ????

Tranquility in serenity ????

✅Qué ver y hacer en SARAJEVO ????4K ‼️ VIAJE: Bosnia y Montenegro. ⏩️ Part 2 @martuky_viajera

#bosniaandherzegovina #montenegro
#sarajevo

- CAFE BOSNIO : SLATKO COSE.

The City of Sarajevo Bosnia in 1 day

Very few cities in the world can offer such a variety of interesting things in such a small area as Sarajevo does. Twenty-eight years ago, the Bosnian capital, was subjected to daily shelling and sniper attacks from Serbian nationalist forces. Today, it once again thrives with tourism. This video, although a little longer than usual, shows you the highlights of our day in Sarajevo.
