LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT @ Nagtipunan, Quirino Province | Tourist Attractions - Destinations PH

✍ LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT @ NAGTIPUNAN, QUIRINO PROVINCE | TOURIST ATTRACTIONS - DESTINATIONS PH:

????LOCATION:
• BRGY. PONGGO, NAGTIPUNAN QUIRINO,
PHILIPPINES (REGION II)

NOTE: This is only a short glimpse & video 'coz during that time, it's raining... And of course places fades, changes or improves over time... But we can still witness the MOST OVERWHELMING & BEAUTIFUL SCENIC VIEWS there as always... ????

????OVERVIEW:
• QUIRINO is a LAND-LOCKED PROVINCE found on the NORTH EASTERN part of the Philippine’s Luzon Island group. It is composed of 6 MUNICIPALITIES and is BORDERED by the PROVINCES of ISABELA on its NORTH SIDE, AURORA on its SOUTH EAST & NUEVA VIZCAYA on its WEST. Named after Former Philippine President ELPIDIO QUIRINO, it used to be a SUB-PROVINCE of NUEVA VIZCAYA...

LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT is SITUATED in NAGTIPUNAN, QUIRINO... A LAND of GREAT TOURISM POTENTIAL. This MUNICIPALITY is known for its NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, & is DUBBED as the TOURISM CAPITAL of the PROVINCE of QUIRINO.

LANDINGAN VIEW POINT is WORTH a VISIT. Drive going there was TRULY a FEAST for the EYES...

Before, it is just an UNTENDED HILLS & NOW TURNED into a FLOWER GARDEN TOP. There are a VAST GARDEN of FLOWERS such as WILD FLOWERS, SUNFLOWERS, & OTHER VARITIES... COMPARED in BINURONG in CATANDUANES or BATANES, SIRAO FLOWER FARM & TERRAZAS DE FLORES BOTANICAL GARDEN in CEBU, LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT HAS STILL ITS OWN UNIQUE CAPTIVATING CHARM.

Sometimes in the MONTH OF NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY... One can also WITNESS a LOW LYING CLOUDS OR THE SEA OF CLOUDS just go EARLY in the MORNING (6-7 AM) & It is also when FLOWERS are FULLY BLOOMED... SUCH an AMAZING SCENERIES!

IF NOT It's STILL WORTH VISITING ANYTIME for it PROMISES a 360° of the STUNNING NATURAL WORK OF ART, THE LANDSCAPE. OVERLOOKING the CAGAYAN RIVER, PLAINS, & NAGTIPUNAN ROLLING HILLS. ONE of the GREAT PANORAMAS INDEED! GREEN, SERENE, PEACEFUL, QUIET...

????OTHERS:
• FIRST, please be REMINDED of the PRINCIPLES: TAKE NOTHING BUT PICTURES, LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS & KILL NOTHING BUT TIME...

• There's NO NEARBY CANTEENS in the ATTRACTION so we can BRING our OWN FOODS/ SNACKS if we DECIDED to STAY for an HOUR... However, DO NOT LITTER.

• As tackled, COMMUTING to LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT is QUITE CHALLENGING. The BEST THING TO DO if YOU'RE A COMMUTER is to CHARTER a PRIVATE RIDE (Preferably JEEPNEY or VAN in MADDELA, QUIRINO) For a LESS HASSLE VISIT... & for that you can also VISIT OTHER ATTRACTIONS such as the BIMMAPOR ROCK FORMATIONS, SIITAN NATURE PARK, DIAMOND CAVE, AGLIPAY CAVES, GANANO FALLS, GOVERNOR'S RAPID... with the chartered vehicle.

• BEST TIME to VISIT LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT:
EARLY in the MORNING (Around 6-8 AM ) &
LATE in the AFTERNOON (4-5:30 PM)...
Just to AVOID TOO MUCH EXPOSURE to SUNLIGHT (But still DEPENDS on the WEATHER & SYEMPRE SA TIME NIYO...)

• There are ESTABLISHED TRAILS & STAIRS in the attraction. But it GETS MUDDY & SLIPPERY when it rains... Be careful.

• CABANAS can be USE FOR FREE. Just AVOID VANDALIZING it.

• One of the MAIN ATTRACTIONS in the AREA are the FLOWERS...
DO NOT PICK FLOWERS, LET THE FLOWERS BE...

• REFRAIN from STANDING or SITTING ON & TAKING PICTURES BEYOND the ESTABLISHED BARS at the VIEWPOINT. They put it there for OUR SAFETY.

????HOW TO GET THERE:
• MOST PEOPLE visiting the ATTRACTION DROVE THERE with their PRIVATE VEHICLES (Car, Van, Motorcycles...) Since it is indeed CHALLENGING FOR THE COMMUTERS...
Just use NAVIGATION APPS such as WAZE; GOOGLE MAP, NAVITEL NAVIGATOR, iOnRoad, Twitter, Etc...)

PARKING SPACES are QUITE LIMITED...
Some VISITORS would resort to PARK
at the SIDE OF THE ROAD.

• COMMUTERS FROM MANILA TO MADDELA TO LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT | AFFORDABLE & EASIEST ACCESS:
1. Take a LATE OVERNIGHT BUS (9:20 PM FLORIDA BUS- DELUX) from SAMPALOC FLORIDA TERMINAL bound to MADDELA, QUIRINO...
FARE starts at Php 571.00 to more or less Php 670.00 ONE WAY or depending on the bus type.
Other bus liners such as FIVE STAR, NELBUSCO,
has DAILY TRIPS at least to & from Manila to Maddela vice versa Alight at Maddela Terminal.
The JOURNEY TAKES APPROXIMATELY 8-9hrs.

2. From MADDELA TERMINAL, take a JEEPNEY to PONGGO... PONGGO is the CENTER of the MUNICIPALITY OF NAGTIPUNAN.

3. From PONGGO, charter a MOTORCYCLE
(HABAL-HABAL) or JEEPNEY that can take you to LANDINGAN VIEWPOINT.

Discover QUIRINO PROVINCE, Cagayan Valley, Philippines

QUIRINO is a landlocked province located in the Cagayan Valley Region in the Philippines. It was named after Elpidio Quirino, the sixth President of the Republic of the Philippines. Quirino was officially established as a separate province on September 10, 1971 by virtue of Republic Act 6394.

Quirino Province is around 292 kilometers from Metro Manila and is bounded by the provinces of Isabela, Aurora, and Nueva Vizcaya. The province is generally mountainous and is known as the “Forest Heartland of Cagayan Valley”.

Although Quirino Province does not have powdery beaches sought-after by travelers since it is located in the region's interior, the province has veritable mix of adventure, nature and culture with a lot of beautiful tourist destinations and attractions. Visit Quirino Province to Discover the Undiscovered.

The shots in this video were taken last January 24 & 25, 2020 when Quirino Province was visited as part of the Grand North Luzon Fun Caravan organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association, Inc. (PHILTOA) in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Department of Tourism (DOT) held last January 23 to 29, 2020.

Governor's Rapid, Maddela, Quirino Province, Philippines

Vlog Title: Governor's Rapid, Maddela, Quirino Province, Philippines

The Philippine province of Quirino is a landlocked province in the northern region of Cagayan Valley and its rolling terrain virtually hides it away from mainstream tourism. The province may not have tropical beaches but Quirino has other natural attractions that are equally beautiful.

Located in the town of Maddela is Governor’s Rapids which form part of a tributary of the Cagayan River. It features crystal clear waters which earned it the award of being among the cleanest inland bodies of water in the whole Cagayan Valley.

A dominating feature in the landscape is the towering limestone formation. Continuous erosion by the river formed a number of rock shelters where the Dumagat indigenous people would seek refuge during harsh weather.

Why is it called Governor’s Rapids, you may ask. The tale goes back during World War II when the old province was under the administration of a Japanese governor. Road networks were not yet developed and rivers instead were used as the main thoroughfare in the valley. It has been told that the rapids claimed the life of the Japanese governor whose body was never found after the tragic accident. Since then, the river has been called Governor’s Rapids.

Back to present day, visiting tourist would find the river suitable for swimming, kayaking and fishing. You may hire a boat and the fisherman will gladly give you a river cruising tour. Freshwater eels (igat) and other freshwater fishes grow in abundance in its clear waters providing livelihood to local fishermen. Governor’s Rapids is also ideal for whitewater rafting during rainy season.

The provincial government is geared at developing Quirino as an adventure destination with Governor’s Rapids as one of its main attractions. But more than the adventure, it is the natural beauty of the province that is virtually untouched and serene which sets Quirino apart from other tourism destinations in the country.

How to get to Governor’s Rapids

Isabela province is the gateway to Quirino. Several bus lines serve daily trips to Cagayan Valley from Manila which will pass by the town of Cordon and Santiago City. Cebu Pacific serves flights to Cauayan City (still part of Isabela) every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Passengers may then take any bus bound for Manila which will pass by Santiago and Cordon. From Santiago or Cordon, there are jeepneys and vans bound for Maddela. From downtown Maddela, visitors can hire a tricycle which can take them to Governor’s Rapids
