welcome back to our channel, This is the 6th video of our Palnadu vlog series. In this video you will see a very beautiful location called 'Anupu' which is just 6km away from Nagarjuna Sagar Dam.
Anupu is a village located around 20km from the town of Macherla, A Budhist archeological monumental site that is considered as one of the finest places to find remnants of the Buddhist monasteries and has a university that thrived under Acharya Nagarjuna.
These ruins were originally located in the Krishna Valley and were under the danger of being submerged when the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam was built in the 1960s. ASI carefully removed the ruins and reconstructed them at Anupu and some more at Nagarjuna Konda.
This place is also known for its natural beauty of river Krishna surrounded by mighty hills and a lot boats sailing on it. This place provides a perfect weekend destination along with Nagarjuna Sagar Dam which is quite near.

Uppalapadu bird sanctuary
This Bird Sanctuary is located in Uppalapadu village, near Guntur City and 50 KM far from Vijayawada city. Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary is easily accessible by road. Best time to visit is from the month of September to February.
As per birds watch In this sanctuary total Species observed 112 like Majorly Pied Cuckoo, White-breasted Waterhen, Asian Openbill, Painted Stork, Spot-billed Pelican and other important birds.
An early morning visit between September to December (the breeding period) can be a feast to the eyes. Thousands of birds on the nesting perches, the trees and the lake are common. The occasional swoop by a bird to snap up a fish or the flight of some can turn into a memorable trip here.
The State Forest Department has created facilities for tourists to enjoy the sights, stay and also are putting in efforts to conserve it.
According to a study by Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History, there was an increase in the breeding population of this bird in Uppalapadu Lake compared to other areas of India.
The flourishing number of the bird population in a way holds up the sanctuary like a bird feast, reflecting the good ecological health of the area and biological mix of food and nesting for the species.
forest department, Government of Andhra Pradesh is working to develop the sanctuary with best amenities.

Hi friends today in this video I'm exploring the Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary in Guntur it is attracting the tourists. It is the best place to visit this place in the weekends. There are so many birds that come from far & distinct locations all over the world. It is very pleasant to watch the birds.
ఉప్పలపాడు పక్షి సంరక్షణ కేంద్రం ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, గుంటూరు జిల్లాలో ఉన్న ఒక పక్షి సంరక్షణ కేంద్రం. ఇక్కడ రకరకాలైన కొంగలను గమనించవచ్చు. ఇక్కడికి సైబీరియా, ఆస్ట్రేలియా లాంటి దేశాలనుంచి పక్షులు వలస వచ్చి స్థానికంగా ఉండే చెరువులకు సమీపంలో చెట్లపైన గూళ్ళు కట్టుకుంటాయి
2002 లో ఉప్పలపాడు పక్షుల సంరక్షణ కేంద్రం చెరువు ను అటవీ శాఖ స్వాధీనం చేసుకుంది. ప్రస్తుతం గ్రామ పర్యావరణ అభివృద్ది కమిటీ ఆధ్వర్యం లో ఉంది. గుడ్లు పెట్టదానికి అనువైన వాతావరణం ,ఆహారం లభించడం వలనే పక్షులు ఇక్కడకు వస్తున్నాయి. ఇక్కడకు చైన, నేపాల్, హిమాలయాల నుంచి ఫెలికాన్స్, నైజీరియా నుంచి పెయింటెడ్ స్టార్క్స్, శ్రీలంక, ఆఫ్రికా నుంచి ఓపెన్ బిల్ స్టార్క్స్, దక్షిణాఫ్రికా నుంచి వైట్ ఐబిస్.ఇలా వివిధ దేశాల నుండి 32 రకాల పక్షులు ఆయా కాలాల్లో వలస వస్తున్నాయి.

The #Uppalapadu #Bird #Sanctuary is located in Uppalapadu, near Guntur City, #AP, India. Painted storks, spot-billed pelicans and other birds that migrate from various countries such as #Siberia and #Australia use the #village #water tanks for nesting.
The #bird population in these tanks used to be around 12,000 previously, however lately only about 7000 birds roost in this dwindling habitat through the year. But some initiatives have taken place such as adding artificial trees, local awareness, proper water supply to the ponds etc. The number of Pelicans, may be more than 1500. Besides this 6 pintail ducks a few cormorant 5 red crested pochard(rhodonesa rufina), common coot, common teal, black-headed ibises, 2 stilts were also sighted.
Instead of erecting wire mesh artificial-trees the forest department should plant more Prosopis velutina tree in and around this swamp. The ibises and painted stork were found scavenging on the left over rotten fish droppings of pelican along with jungle crow. The main diet being fed to the chicks was both fresh and sea water fish. Some of the fish, particularly LabeoRohita (Carp) and other sea fish, which had dropped from the nests, were fresh and about 0.8 kg in weight. They must have been brought from nearest river and sea which is about 20–30 km away from the site since the pelicans were not found fishing from nearby ponds. In 2009 the large wire mesh trees which were provided by the Forest department are being used for nest making by the pelicans, although they did not do so in the initial years. This pelicanary has completed ten years operation in 2009. Some pelicans have now opted to use another pond at Ramchandrapalem which is about 4 km from this site towards Guntur.

This is part of my Ride from Markapur to Hyderabad after crossing Nallamala Forest region, Macherla I had gone Downstream side of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam along the River side on my bike Hero Xpulse 200 4V and video captured on Insta 360 X3. After off-road ride, I rode through the Rural Road along with the local villlager, whom I have given lift from the village along Downdtream side of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam and reached the Highway. The bike has given fantastic performance.
