Today we are in the beautiful city of Nancy, France.
Nancy, a riverfront city in the northeastern French region of Grand Est, is known for its late baroque and art nouveau landmarks, some dating to its days as the former capital of the Duchy of Lorraine. Its focal point is the 18th-century Place Stanislas. This grand square, decorated with gilded wrought-iron gates and rococo fountains, rests by the ornate palaces and churches filling the city’s medieval old town.
Nancy is the prefecture of the northeastern French department of Meurthe-et-Moselle. It was the capital of the Duchy of Lorraine which was annexed by France under King Louis XV in 1766 and replaced by a province with Nancy maintained as capital. Following its rise to prominence in the Age of Enlightenment, it was nicknamed the capital of Eastern France in the late 19th century.

L'Agence de Ludres a débuté le 15 juillet dernier le chantier de renouvellement du sol de la Place Stanislas classée au Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO. Cette opération a été réalisée sous maîtrise d'oeuvre de l'Architecte en Chef des Monuments Historiques.
Les terrassements généraux ont été réalisés en coordination avec l'INRAP. De forme parabolique (parapluie), le profil de la Place a été réglé lors de la mise en oeuvre de la GNT B au moyen d'une niveleuse équipée en station totale. La grave bitume (couche de base) a été ensuite tirée en vis calée. Avec l'aide de la Direction Technique, il a été proposé au client la pose des pavés sur lit de gravillon 2/5 (sable duro origine SOLODET). Ce procédé a permis la pose des pavés par températures légèrement négatives (jusqu'à -2°C) ce qui aurait été totalement impossible avec un lit de pose en mortier. L'exécution des joints s¿est décomposée en 2 phases : Remplissage à mi-hauteur avec du gravillon duro 2/5 et mise en oeuvre d'un mortier haute performance LANKO en partie supérieure. Ce mortier blanc a fait l'objet d'une fabrication particulière : ajout de colorant et de granulats en usine pour obtenir l'aspect souhaité par l'Architecte en Chef des Monuments Historiques.
