New York State’s first Historic District - Stockade Historic District is located in the northwest corner of Schenectady, New York, United States, on the banks of the Mohawk River. It is the oldest neighborhood in the city, continuously inhabited for over 300 years. Joseph C. Yates, the 7th Governor of New York and founding trustee of Union College, and Elizabeth V. Gillette, a physician and the first woman from upstate New York elected to the New York State Assembly, were residents of the Stockade.
It contains a wide variety of Dutch and English 17th- and 18th-century buildings, many with later embellishments and additions. The National Park Service has described it as the highest concentration of historic period homes in the country, with over 40 older than 200 years and architectural styles that include Dutch Colonial, Georgian, Federal and Victorian. The Stockade was New York's first local historic district,[3] when it was recognized by the city council in 1962.[2]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and its boundaries were increased slightly in 1984.[1][4]

Oakmont also has their own Oakmont Greek Festival which takes place around June and at they're also known for their Hometown Christmas and parade down Allegheny River Boulevard.

Sloan Bridge Falls, South Carolina -- DJI Drone Footage
These falls are kind of weak compared to others in the area. When you have Bee Cove, Lower Whitewater and Upper Whitewater Falls all near by, it makes these look very small. I visited, checked off the list, probably won't go back. Overall trail was a pretty good walk though.

Foothills Trail:
The Foothills Trail is a 76-mile (122 km) National Recreation Trail trail in South and North Carolina, United States, for recreational hiking and backpacking. It extends from Table Rock State Park to Oconee State Park.
We did two days on the Foothills trail. This is Day 1 Whitewater Falls to Bear Camp Creek. We had plenty of water on the trail. Along with some great views if waterfalls and some amazing river crossings with plenty of different bridges to cross.

Land of the Waterfalls - Lake Toxaway
Heart of Dixie Chapter Rolling Rally Stop #4 of 6 stayed at Riverbend RV Resort, Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. While in Historic Lake Toxaway, The Land of Waterfalls, they visited Whitewater Falls and Rainbow Falls.
Whitewater Falls is a beautiful, 400+ foot multi-drop cascading waterfall near Cashiers, NC. They also caught some stunning views of Lake Jocassee.
While visiting Rainbow Falls, they witnessed this enormous waterfall tumble down a 150 foot towering, near-vertical cliff in the Nantahala National Forest near Gorges State Park. Locals say when the sun is angled right, the waterfall creates a colorful rainbow below the falls.
