The Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto | Italy | Basilica Della Santa Casa | Marian Shrine

For More Details The Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto
Visit :

The Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto, Italy (Our Lady of Loreto & The Holy House of Loreto – Basilica della Santa Casa) is a Catholic place of pilgrimage in Loreto, Italy, containing the house in which the Virgin Mary lived.

The Holy House of Our Lady of Loreto is “a rest for the soul”, a place to meet God, and sometimes the inspiring reason and source of strength for new enterprises. A symbolic place of Christianity and home to the Holy House of Nazareth where Mary was born. A destination for pilgrims and art lovers.

It is the third largest shrine to Mary in Europe, next to Lourdes and Fatima. The ministry of the shrine is the hospitality shown to pilgrims especially through the sacrament of penance. The splendid City of Loreto, tucked inside the countryside of the Marches Region, owes its fame to the Sanctuary where the Santa Casa della Vergine Maria (Shrine of the Holy House of the Virgin Mary) is preserved and venerated. It is a holy place defined by Pope John Paul II as “the true Marian heart of Christianity.”

One of the best ways to explore the city is on a Vespa. Go ahead and rent a Vespa if you have a license and explore Rome with your significant other. Ride down to Trevi Fountain, through the cobbled streets of Trastevere and Vatican City. These places make a perfect backdrop for your couple photos too, apart from the great memories that you can make there. Remember to take lots of photos!

Cinque Terre is another area in Italy for those adventurous couples. Comparing it to Monte Isola, you can actually find public transport here at Cinque Terre, and you can rent a car if you want to. But we suggest skipping those and explore Cinque Terre by foot to experience the beauty of what this area has to offer.

Italy's best kept secret, Abruzzo

I wanted to show you a special place in my heart in Italy, that not many tourists from North America let alone anywhere really venture off to, the region of Abruzzo. The region of Abruzzo is truly undiscovered and I hope this video sheds some light on it as it really deserves to get far more recognition as a place to visit in Italy.

This film will show you the many incredible things about the region of Abruzzo, from the incredible local delicacies like Arrosticini, a staple of the region, to trying some good albeit very strange food on a Trabboci on the coast of the Adriatic and tasting some of the local Montepulciano wines.

Called the green lung of Italy, most of Abruzzo is covered in National Parks and they are some of the most incredible you will ever see! Besides exploring the many national parks at your disposal, another one of my favourite things to do in Abruzzo is explore the many mediavel villages, with such untouched beauty that you feel as though you've stepped back in time.

I hope that you enjoy this video and make sure to LIKE the video, it really does make a huge difference and SUBSCRIBE!

Out of the way Italy - Side trips in Le Marche

From our base in Loreto we hit towns along the Riviera del Conero - a beautiful spot of Italy away from the usual bustle of foreign tourists. We see a big market, parade and horse race during our stay in Loreto and do day trips to Osimo, Sirolo, Ascoli Piceno, two wineries and towns along the coast. Not many non-Italians come to this area, so it can be our little secret.

Unfortunately, the apartment we stayed in is no longer rentable. That sucks but there are quite a few similar places available through places like VRBO or AirB&B.

The city developed around the famous Basilica which houses the famous relic of the Holy House of Nazareth where, according to tradition, the Virgin Mary was born and lived and where she received the announcement of the miraculous birth of Jesus.

From the first centuries of the Christian era, tradition affirmed that the small abode of the Virgin was located in Nazareth, where she was born, grew up, where the announcement of the Archangel Gabriel took place and where she lived until her wedding with Joseph.

After the Resurrection, the Apostles would gather in this house and celebrate the Eucharist in accordance with the teaching of Jesus.

At the beginning of May 1291, Nazareth and all of Palestine were the domain of the Mamluks of Egypt. According to tradition, some angels took the Holy House and carried it off in flight.

On May 10, 1291 the angels left the house in Trsat, near the city of Fiume.............................................................................................................................

Loreto, Marche, Italy ????????

Loreto in Le Marche - Markets, Festivals and a Horse Race!

We spend some time in Loreto, Le Marche. It is on the Adriatic Coast and not a popular tourist spot.* The food is great, the countryside is super pretty and everyone we met was friendly.

*OK, there were some crowds in Loreto on the weekend we were there. But only because there was a big festival or 3 going on in town. The other places were calm and, for the most part, tourist free.

We touch on other spots in the area but stay tuned for another video with the side trips we took.

Eat at Trattoria Norma and visit the Pretty Bar - those were our two favorite places in town. Norma has great food and friendly staff and the Pretty Bar is a local bar that is a great place to get an aperitivi, snacks or just hang out.

Unfortunately, the apartment we stayed in is no longer being rented out. I bet you could find another nice place though!

Loreto, Italy |

#4k
#loreto
Natale ,Nuovo Anno 2019

Santuario della Santa Casa).

Holy House of Loreto

The main bell of Loreto -- almost two meters in diameter and weighing more than 7,000 kilograms -- invites people to one of the most famous basilicas in Europe. This basilica is unlike any other: it is the first international shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary, where, according to tradition, one finds her original house, after it was miraculously transferred to Italy from the Holy Land. The shrine of Loreto can be found in the Italian province of Ancona, in the Marche. The beginning of the construction of the shrine -- built in the late Gothic style -- dates back to the 15th century, though it was not completed until the end of the 16th century. The city of Loreto, which currently has 11,000 inhabitants, was built around the basilica.Yet the shrine's history began back in the 13th century -- on December 10th, 1294, to be exact. On that day, according to a longstanding tradition, the house of Mary of Nazareth was flown by angels to its current location. Recent research, however, indicates that the house was brought by boat by the Angelis family in order to protect this priceless relic from Saracen raids after the defeat of the Crusades. The impressive Loreto basilica was constructed around Mary's house. Placed on the altar of the Blessed Mother's home is a small statue of Our Lady of Loreto

Jesus, Maria e José... viveram e trabalharam nesta casa...
