We started from Lobuche to Gorekshep—This was the normal route taken by all for EBC, hence, it was crowded. This time we were walking alongside the Khumbhu Glacier. The distance shown on one of the notice boards was just 3KMs from Lobuche to Gorekshep, but in reality it was 6KMs. We took 4 hours to reach Gorekshep. The trail had lots of ups and downs. It was like walking in the cold desert…
