Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Moon Festival, Moon Festival, Reunion Festival, etc., is a traditional Chinese folk festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival originated from the worship of celestial phenomena, and evolved from the Qiu Xi festival in ancient times. Since ancient times, the Mid-Autumn Festival has folk customs such as offering sacrifices to the moon, admiring the moon, eating moon cakes, playing with lanterns, and drinking osmanthus wine.
The Mid-Autumn festival started more than 2,000 years ago as a post-autumn harvest celebration, which was devoted to thanking the gods. Most scholars believe that the Mid-autumn Festival first appeared during the Song dynasty, derived from the tradition of worshipping the moon. It is tradition to gift people moon cakes with different fillings such as meats, jasmine, coconut, and other exotic and aromatic flavours.
The fall season in Shanghai is beautiful, the trees are quickly showing their warm hues of oranges and yellows, and the leaves are starting to collect on the wet streets of this Asian mega city. The rainfall just adds to the café hopping ambience.

From Crystal city yellow Line goes to Pentagon city followed by Pentagon and reaches Mount Vernon Square (6th station from Crystal city), the convention center within 8 to 10 min ride. In this video Hari & Aruna Sharma are seen enjoying their perfect ride in yellow line metro from Crustal city to Mount Vernon Square on November 13, 2011. This was their daily routine of commuting between Walter E Convention Center Washington DC and Crystal City, Arlington, VA where they are staying in Hampton Inn & Suites for comfort and pleasure.
