It is 25 miles away from our place. After 30 mins ride, we reached the entrance gate. Here we need to pay 10 dollars per car as entry fee to the park. Park opens daily at 7 am and Closing times vary by season. March to Oct it closes at 9 pm and Nov to Feb at 5 p.

Lake Park is operated by the City on property leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is divided into four major areas including the golf course, the athletic facilities, day use areas, and a marina. The lake related uses include campgrounds, beaches, boat ramps, play areas, picnic facilities, and many more.
Lewisville Lake, formerly known as Garza-Little Elm Reservoir, Originally engineered in 1927 as Lake Dallas, the reservoir was expanded in the 1940s and 1950s and renamed Lewisville Lake. It was built for flood control purposes and to serve as a water source for Dallas and its suburbs, but residents also use it for recreational purposes.
