Canyon Bestobe (Sileti) is an amazing geographical object. Canyon is located near Nur-Sultan city. Among the endless flat steppes of Saryarka, suddenly, the earth opens up, revealing to the attention of a traveler the beautiful rocky green gorge with a river, like an oasis in the steppe.

KarLag - Museum of Political Victims’ Memory of the Dolinka Settlement in Karaganda, Kazakhstan
The Karlag Museum occupies all three floors (two above ground plus the basement) of the enormous Dolinka headquarters with no fewer than thirty halls and exhibitions. The museum is a combination of traditional museum practice with the experiential museum so much in vogue today. The first floor features a series of exhibit rooms devoted to topics like the early 1930s famine in Kazakhstan, the political repression of the Kazakh intelligentsia, the foundation of Karlag, the economic activity of Karlag, repressed artists, women and children in Karlag, deportations of peoples to Kazakhstan, repressions of the post-Stalin years, and post-Soviet Kazakhstan as an independent state. These exhibit halls, in what I would call the traditional part of the Karlag Museum, are mostly dominated by a series of glass display cases holding historical photographs, artifacts, and text blocks explaining the history of Soviet repression in general and the Karlag labor camp in particular.
Descending to the basement level, the museum takes a turn toward the experiential. Of course, basements have long held a morbid place in tales of Soviet citizen encounters with the secret police. Basements, like that of the notorious Lubianka in Moscow, were places of imprisonment, torture, and all too often execution. The Karlag Museum pulls out all the stops to capitalize on that mental imagery of the NKVD basement, even though the tour guides admit that they have no particular information that individuals were ever held, interrogated, or tortured in the basement of the Dolinka headquarters.

Asiatrek S01 E08 de Bratislava à Sombor
Je quitte Bratislava sous un soleil printanier. L'arrivée nocturne en Hongrie n'est pas géniale. Des douaniers me repèrent avec leur caméra thermique. Fini le bivouac, je dois tout démonter alors que je n'ai plus de piles. Je termine sur la route avec ma seule lampe arrière... C'est à ce moment que je suis doublé par Imre qui me propose de dormir chez lui. Un accueil extraordinaire. Je découvre la Hongrie, son histoire à travers les paroles d'Imre. Je découvre un pan de l'histoire de la Première guerre mondiale que je connaissais peu : le traité de Trianon et le découpage de la Hongrie.
Je suis impressionné par l'accueil qui m'est fait en Hongrie... A vrai dire je n'avais aucune idée de la Hongrie à part celle que les médias veulent donner.
Gyor, c'est la galère pour repartir. Les routes principales à un seul chiffre me sont interdites. La police veille au grain. Je décide donc de laisser tomber l'Eurovélo 6 entre Gyor et Budapest.
De piste cyclable, ils ont surtout retenu la notion de piste !
Je passe quelques jours à Budapest et rencontre un cycliste, Peter. Il me parle d'un ami, qui en fait me connait déjà : Merci, ou Marco... Un ami de Imre !
Encore un fois, j'apprécie l'accueil qui est fait en Hongrie : exceptionnel !
Je laisse la Hongrie à regret pour me rendre en Serbie. J'avais aimé la Serbie en 2005 et me voilà servi ! Je la retrouve telle que je l'avais laissée à l'époque.
La Serbie, c'est comme une maîtresse que tu retrouves de temps en temps, elle a une force et une fascination qui te font perdre pied...

Hagyok Pozsony alatt a tavaszi napsütésben. Az éjszaka érkezett Magyarországra nem nagy. Vám helyszínen hozzám a hőkamera . Elmúltak már azok az táborban , azt szét kell szerelni , amíg nincs elemeket. Befejezem az úton az egyetlen hátsó lámpa ... Ez az, amikor én vagyok a duplájára Imre ajánl nekem aludni vele . Rendkívüli szívesen. Én felfedezni Magyarország története a szavakat Imre . Felfedeztem egy része a történelem I. világháború keveset tudott : a trianoni békeszerződés és a vágás tartozik.
Mély benyomást tett rám a fogadtatása Magyarországon ... Igazából fogalmam sem volt , mielőtt tartozik , kivéve, hogy a média akar adni .
Gyor egy szóváltás , hogy távozzon. A fő egyszámjegyű utak zárva nekem. A rendőrség figyelmét. Szóval úgy döntöttem , hogy lezárja az EuroVelo 6- a Győr- Budapest .
Kerékpárút , többnyire elfogadták az elképzelést a pálya !
Én töltöttem néhány napot Budapesten , és találkoztam egy kerékpáros , Peter . Azt mondja nekem egy barátom, aki már ismer : Köszönöm, és Marco ... Egy barátja Imre !
Egy másik alkalommal , nagyra értékelem az üdvözlő készült Magyarországon: kiváló!
Én elhagyja Magyarországot sajnálom nekem Szerbia . Imádtam Szerbia 2005-ben , és ez segített ! Azt találtam hagytam hogy abban az időben .
Szerbia olyan, mint egy szerető , hogy találsz magadnak időről időre , hogy van egy erő , és a lenyűgöző , hogy az , hogy elveszíti a lábazat ...
