Guiyang County, under Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, is located in the western part of Chenzhou City, at the northern foot of the South Ridge, in the middle and upper stream of the Chungming River (a tributary of the Xiangjiang River), east of Beihu District, west of Xintian County and Jiahe County, north of Qiyang City, Changning City, Leiyang City, Yongxing County border, south of Linwu County adjacent to Guangdong Province, the county is 31.7 km from Chenzhou City, with a total area of 2973 square kilometers, jurisdiction over 22 towns (streets), 398 administrative villages (communities). According to the seventh census, as of November 1, 2020, Guiyang County had a resident population of 709,372.
Since the establishment of the county in the early Han Dynasty, Guiyang has been an important place of governance for counties, states, supervisors, armies, roads, prefectures, states, directly subordinate states and counties, and has been known as the famous area in southern Chu and the ancient county in the early Han Dynasty. [1] It is rich in history and culture, with Buddhist monks such as Shi Dao Xing and Shi Fu Cheng, cultural celebrities such as Li Sicong, as well as Buddhist monasteries with a long history such as Lu Feng An (Temple) and traditional Chinese villages such as Shiaotang Village.
