This film features views around the town of Versailles, which is situated on the the South West outskirts of Paris in the Yvelines département in Île-de-France region. The town is renowned worldwide for its château, the Château de Versailles and the gardens of Versailles, designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The film is taken around the town of Versailles, as well as at the Château and extensive gardens. The Château was closed to enter as filming was taking place for a period drama, but there are some nice shots of the actors in their costumes. The gardens were open and looked spectacular as ever, even in the drab grey weather.

This is a walking tour and 4k visit of the Gardens of Versailles located outside of the Palace of Versailles also known as Chateau de Versailles.
The Gardens of Versailles occupy part of what was once the Domaine royal de Versailles, the royal domaine of the château of Versailles. Situated to the west of the palace, the gardens cover some 800 hectares of land, much of which is landscaped in the classic French formal garden style perfected here by André Le Nôtre. Beyond the surrounding belt of woodland, the gardens are bordered by the urban areas of Versailles to the east and Le Chesnay to the north-east, by the National Arboretum de Chèvreloup to the north, the Versailles plain (a protected wildlife preserve) to the west, and by the Satory Forest to the south.
Administered by the Public Establishment of the Palace, Museum and National Estate of Versailles, an autonomous public entity operating under the aegis of the French Ministry of Culture, the gardens are now one of the most visited public sites in France, receiving more than six million visitors a year.
In addition to the meticulous manicured lawns, parterres, and sculptures are the fountains, which are located throughout the garden. Dating from the time of Louis XIV and still using much of the same network of hydraulics as was used during the Ancien Régime, the fountains contribute to making the gardens of Versailles unique. On weekends from late spring to early autumn, the administration of the museum sponsors the Grandes Eaux – spectacles during which all the fountains in the gardens are in full play. Designed by André Le Nôtre, the Grand Canal is the masterpiece of the Gardens of Versailles. In the Gardens too, the Grand Trianon was built to provide Sun King with the retreat he wanted. The Petit Trianon is associated with Marie-Antoinette, who spent her time there with her closest relatives and friends.
In 1979, the gardens along with the château were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, one of thirty-one such designations in France.

セニョンは人口約900人ほどの小さい村で私たちは今回行くのが2度目でしたが、春は美しい花がさらにこの可愛らしい村を素敵に見せていました。
岩山からの眺めも素晴らしく、短い時間でしたが楽しい散歩になりました。
この村は、標高の高いところにあり、一部動画内で風の音が強く聞こえる場合があります。

In addition to the meticulous manicured lawns, parterres of flowers, and sculptures are the fountains, which are located throughout the garden. Dating from the time of Louis XIV and still using much of the same network of hydraulics as was used during the Ancien Régime, the fountains contribute to making the gardens of Versailles unique. On weekends from late spring to early autumn, the administration of the museum sponsors the Grandes Eaux – spectacles during which all the fountains in the gardens are in full play.
In 1979, the gardens along with the château were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, one of thirty-one such designations in France.

The Palace of Versailles was the principal royal residence of France from 1682, under Louis XIV, until the start of the French Revolution in 1789, under Louis XVI. It is located in the department of Yvelines, in the region of Île-de-France, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) southwest of the centre of Paris.

Designed by André Le Nôtre, the Grand Canal is the masterpiece of the Gardens of Versailles. In the Gardens too, the Grand Trianon was built to provide Sun King with the retreat he wanted. The Petit Trianon is associated with Marie-Antoinette, who spent her time there with her closest relatives and friends.
A simple hunting lodging and later a small château with a moat occupied the site until 1661, when the first work expanding the château into a palace was carried out for Louis XIV. In 1682, when the palace had become large enough, the king moved the entire royal court and the French government to Versailles. Some of the palace furniture at this time was constructed of solid silver, but in 1689 much of it was melted down to pay for the cost of war. Subsequent rulers mostly carried out interior remodeling, to meet the demands of changing taste, although Louis XV did install an opera house at the north end of the north wing for the wedding of the Dauphin and Marie Antoinette in 1770. The palace has also been a site of historical importance. The Peace of Paris (1783) was signed at Versailles, the Proclamation of the German Empire occurred in the vaunted Hall of Mirrors, and World War I was ended in the palace with the Treaty of Versailles, among many other events.
The palace is now a historical monument and UNESCO World Heritage site, notable especially for the ceremonial Hall of Mirrors, the jewel-like Royal Opera, and the royal apartments; for the more intimate royal residences, the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon located within the park; the
small rustic Hameau (Hamlet) created for Marie Antoinette; and the vast Gardens of Versailles with fountains, canals, and geometric flower beds and groves, laid out by André le Nôtre. The Palace was stripped of all its furnishings after the French Revolution, but many pieces have been returned and many of the palace rooms have been restored.
In 2017 the Palace of Versailles received 7,700,000 visitors, making it the second-most visited monument in the Île-de-France region, just behind the Louvre and ahead of the Eiffel Tower.

France does a terrific job of preserving cool stuff it finds when it engages in works projects such as the renovation of this market in the Temple nabe of central Paris, France. They make a huge effort to share what they find as they are uncovering it with the public, but you cannot just walk in off the street, this stuff is not on the 'net nor advertised at all, they focus on showing the citizens, not outsiders, okay? The best stuff here is set up for locals, so you really need a resident connection to experience the best of Paris and France for that matter. We found out about this only by accident and had to phone in and reserve to be included in a group, and we had to be there on time or miss our free chance to see this quite ancient place, to meet the archeologists directly, and see what is ongoing. Allow a full two hours to get from point A to point B in Paris. If you get there early, hey, go get a hot chocolate at a bistro and use the bathroom! Take a picnic. We plan carefully every week and try to do something cultural and free or for cheap pretty much weekly -- it really enriches our lives. Paris is a gold mine of good stuff! But not accessible!
Consider hiring a private guide to visit Paris. Look on FUSAC. I could maybe do it, and I have a website so you can reach me, but I am disabled and not always available. I could possibly hook you up with someone. Or just look in FUSAC. FRANCE USA CONTACTS. Unless you speak fluent French and understand it perfectly, a lot of the cool stuff here wil go right over your head. I could not understand some of the presentations here this day and my spouse had to inform me. And I have been here 18 years or so, but French is tricky. In museums, the signs on things are usually only in French -- do not expect to get the most of your visit here unless you are fluent. If not, hire a guide, help the economy, and get more value for your money outta your visit to the city of lights! Everything is set up here for French speakers, not English speakers.
Yeah you will have to spend 50 to 100 euros per day to hire a guide and pay their carfare and food, but they declare the income; don't work with anyone who doesn't, please, and they lose half to taxes, and if you hire someone legally you are protected if anything goes wrong and giving good honest work to someone. You might want to do this for one or two days here and have an itinerary planned for you and someone to actually meet you and take you around. Paris is a very complex place and people save up a long time to come here. Please make the most of your visits here, this is a marvelous place but I find it complicated, and I am a former NYer and very accustomed to difficult stuff, yet I find Paris a tough nut to crack.
There was a famous dungeon here and a little fortified village. If you study the first French revoluation this is a key place to visit. If you like the Knights Templar, this is pretty much the main place to visit, also. I can direct you to a fascinating church in this area. Your head will explode with all the cool stuff there is here, and there is a beautiful little park here and it is really a cute area, but most visitors to Paris totally miss all this, even though it is in the third arrondissement. It is very out of the way.
Paris - France - Champs Elysees - part 1 - 2014 - Avenue
The Champs-Élysées (French for Eliseo's Fields) is the most prestigious and broadest avenue in Paris. Its full name is Avenue des Champs-Élysées. With its cinemas, cafés, and luxury specialty shops, the Champs-Élysées is one of the most famous streets in the world, and with rents as high as $1.50 million a year for 1,000 square feet (100 m²) of space, it remains the 2nd most expensive strip of real estate in the world (the first in Europe) after New York City's Fifth Avenue. The name refers to the Elysian Fields, the place of the blessed in Roman mythology.
The Champs-Élysées is known in France as La plus belle avenue du monde (The most beautiful avenue in the world). The arrival of global chain stores in recent years has slightly changed the character of the avenue, and in a first effort to stem these changes, the Paris City government (which has called this banalization) decided in 2007 to ban the Swedish clothing chain H&M from opening a store on the avenue.
The avenue runs for 2 kilometres (1.25 miles) through the 8th arrondissement in northwestern Paris, from the Place de la Concorde in the east, with its obelisk, to the Place Charles de Gaulle (formerly the Place de l'Étoile) in the west, location of the Arc de Triomphe. The Champs-Élysées forms part of the Axe historique. One of the principal tourist destinations in Paris, the lower part of the Champs-Élysées is bordered by greenery (Marigny Square) and by buildings such as the Théâtre Marigny and the Grand Palais (containing the Palais de la Découverte). The Elysée Palace is a little bit to the north, but not on the avenue itself. Further to the west, the avenue is lined with cinemas, theaters, cafés and restaurants (most notably Fouquet's), and 2014 luxury specialty shops.
Finally, the avenue is one of the most famous streets for shopping in the world. Benetton, the Disney Store, Nike, Zara, continental Europe's largest Gap and Virgin Megastore as well as Sephora occupy major spaces. Traditionally home of luxury brands, the Champs Elysées confirms its worldclass appeal as a prime real estate location: it has lately seen the opening of new big upscale shops such as the biggest Louis Vuitton department store in the world, which even hosts an exhibition room, and Adidas opened as well in February 2007 its largest store in the world in a wonderful old, classy building. Nike has done the same on the south side of this famous avenue by opening its largest European concept store known as Nike Paris.
Every year on Bastille Day, the largest military parade in Europe passes down the Champs-Élysées, reviewed by the President of the Republic (see our multimedia content on the parade).
Every year from end of November to end of December, the 'Champs-Elysees' Committee contribute for the Holidays seasons lighting of the Champs-Elysees.
The Champs-Elysées is also the traditional end of the last stage of the Tour de France.
Huge and spontaneous gatherings occasionally take place on the Champs-Élysées in celebration of popular events, such as New Year's Eve, or when France won the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
