Le Castellet (French Riviera / Côte d'Azur) - Between Medieval Village and Formula 1
Situated in the heart of the Var department, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Sainte-Baume massif, Le Castellet has recently became internationally famous due to its racetrack. After 10 years of absence in France, the Formula 1 chose the Paul-Ricard racetrack in Le Castellet to host the French Grand Prix since 2018. Close to the track, there is a cheerful small medieval village full of local artisans and charming buildings to explore. But don't race through it, take your time to get lost among the narrow streets of this cute and artsy provencal town.

Le Castellet (Occitan: Lo Castelet) is a commune in the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. It consists of a small feudal village perched on a cliff edge and its surroundings. It is situated north-west of Toulon next to La Cadière-d'Azur and Le Beausset. It is surrounded by vineyards and is part of the Côtes de Provence Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) of Bandol. The Circuit Paul Ricard is also located in the commune.

La Cadière-d'Azur is a village in the south east of France. The village is located in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . The town of La Cadière-d'Azur belongs to the district of Toulon and the canton of Le Beausset. The postal code of the city of La Cadière-d'Azur is 83740 and its Insee code is 83027.
The main square is lined with century-old plane trees, a good place for café terraces but also for the Provençal market. Its countryside offers landscapes in terraces hosting many vineyards and olive groves. La Cadière lists around twenty cade ovens (cade oil, a real treasure of the scrubland, is used for the manufacture of antiseptic soap, for cosmetology and veterinary art).

Cannes is a city located on the French Riviera. It is a commune located in the Alpes-Maritimes department, and host city of the annual Cannes Film Festival, Midem, and Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The city is known for its association with the rich and famous, its luxury hotels and restaurants, and for several conferences.
The Promenade de la Croisette is the waterfront avenue with palm trees. La Croisette is known for picturesque beaches, restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and luxury hotels. Le Suquet, the old town, provides a good view of La Croisette. The fortified tower and the Chapelle Sainte-Anne house the Musée des Explorations du monde. A distinctive building in Cannes is the Russian Orthodox church.
Cannes has a subtropical Mediterranean climate and the city enjoys 11 hours of sunshine per day during summer (July), while in winter (December to February) the weather is mild. Both seasons see a relatively low rainfall and most rain occurs during October and November when over 100 mm (3.9 in) falls.
The place where I've left my heart is Cannes. I've promised myself that I will go back.
Cannes is the jewel of the French Riviera. The place to be, the place to enjoy life.

Vakantiehuis met privé zwembad bij le Beausset, Provence. Villa met opstaand zwembad in de Var.
Natuurstenen vakantiehuis met privé zwembad in de Provence, bij le Beausset. Prachtig uitzicht over de heuvels, de wijngaarden en tot het bergmassief la Sainte Baume. Ref. 83401 voor 8 personen. Het huis is rustig gelegen op een groot eigen terrein met mediterrane plantengroei. U heeft er een fraai uitzicht op de vallei, de heuvels en het bergmassief van La Sainte-Baume. Het opstaande zwembad is bekleed met hout en grenst direct aan een natuurlijk terras waardoor het uitstekend harmonieert met de omgeving. Al met al een fijn plekje om de vakantie door te brengen. In het levendige plaatsje Le Beausset (3 km) vindt u alle voorzieningen, van grote supermarkt tot gezellige terrasjes. Ook de Middellandse Zee is niet ver; het zandstrand bij Les Lecques ligt op slechts 14 km van uw vakantiehuis en bij Bandol zijn mooie kiezel- en zandstrandjes. Bandol is een gezellig kustplaatsje met tal van restaurants en terrasjes en het is er heerlijk flaneren langs de boulevard. Leuk is het om vanuit de haven een boottochtje te maken naar het Ile de Bendor. De pittoreske badplaatsen La Ciotat en Sanary-sur-Mer zijn eveneens de moeite waard.De fraaiste vakantiehuizen, villa's, vakantiewoningen en gites vindt u bij Basic Travel. Wij zijn lid van de SGR.
