We're back in Las Terrenas after two years. This is one of our favourite places in the Dominican Republic. In this video we're discussing what you can expect in Las Terrenas if you're visiting in 2024.
We start by showing you where to stay in Las Terrenas. We give a full tour of this penthouse condo in Playa Bonita Residences (Los Cocos). This condo has 3 full bedrooms and an amazing rooftop terrace. The complex also has a restaurant, multiple pools and a beachfront.

We walk around Playa Bonita and head to a place called Beluga for lunch.

Later we drive into the main town of Las Terrenas where we walk the Malecon and visit the beach for a drink. Unfortunately this area of Las Terrenas (the beachfront restaurants right in town) was fully destroyed by a fire in January 2024 (after we filmed).

We Can't Believe This! Europe in the Dominican Republic? ???? Las Terrenas Samana | Travel Guide 2022

In this video we're exploring the town of Las Terrenas, Samana, the Dominican Republic.

In the last video we visited some of the best beaches in Las Terrenas but in this video we're checking out the actual town. Las Terrenas is very different from Cabarete and has a very European (French and Italian) vibe.

We walk around the boardwalk and waterfront area, then head into town a bit where we check on some complexes and shops. We stop at Puerto Plaza, one of the main eating and shopping areas in town which happen to look like two cruise ships. We stop for lunch at Creperie Les Blonds.

We try to do some boutique shopping as Las Terrenas has so many cute shops but unfortunately most are closed because it's a Sunday.

We lastly walk further east along the water where we stop at a restaurant right on the water to have an Aperol Spritz cocktail.

You NEED to See This Place! Unreal Dominican Republic. Travel to Las Terrenas Samana 2022 ???? ????????

In this video we're exploring the absolutely incredible beaches in Las Terrenas, Samana, the Dominican Republic. Samana is known for having some of the best beaches in all of the Dominican Republic.

We start out near town, just outside of our hotel at Playa Las Ballenas. This is one of the most central beaches in Las Terrenas. We take a walk along the beach, which seems to be wavier than usual and also fly the drone to get a better view.

Because the weather wasn't great, we pick things up on the next day. This time we head a bit outside of town, park our car at Playa Calolima and walk to the absolutely incredible Playa El Anclón. This is one the most incredible beaches we've been to in the Dominican Republic. The water was calm and there was hardly anyone around.

Lastly we head to a highly recommended beach, Playa Bonita. Playa Bonita is best known for being a surfing beach. Here we have lunch and take a walk.

Top 10 Best Place To Visit in Dominican Republic

The top 10 adventures to take while in Dominican Republic.
If you’re in the mood for a Caribbean holiday, the Dominican Republic is the place to go. It shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti in the Greater Antilles. The island is where Christopher Columbus made his first stop in the New World in 1492 and which later became the first capital of the Spanish empire in the Americas. You’ll find plenty of evidence of the country’s Spanish heritage. Today, however, people visit the Dominican Republic for its beautiful sandy beaches, clear waters and water sports activities. Off-shore activities include deep sea fishing and whale watching. There’s really not any good reason for you to stay home after you’ve seen these best places to visit in the Dominican Republic.

Traveling To Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic: Top Things To Do in 2020

From the air, Sublime Samana in Las Terrenas looks like your typical sprawling, five-star beachfront resort. Choose between a one or two-bedroom suite or opt for more privacy and space in a two or three-bedroom casita. Deciding between the two on-site restaurants, Bistro and Beachside Grill Palapa, is a win-win situation. If you want romance, it’s a no-brainer on nights when Beachside hosts special events on the beach, and you can eat under the lights with your toes in the sand. If you don’t want to bother with looking at menus offering so many tempting dishes, just ask for the catch of the day or the ceviche. While there’s plenty to do on-site and you’ll be tempted to stay put, I recommend you explore the surroundings a bit. Horseback riding to Cascada El Limon or driving for 10 minutes into the lively old town are just a few of the alternatives.

Watch This Before Going to Las Terrenas | Part 1 | (Dominican Republic 2023)
