Filmed July 29th - July 30th, 2022, in this video my wife and I drive from Uspallata to Malargüe in Mendoza, along the Ruta 40. We pass by El Sosneado and stay the night in Malargüe. The next day we drive up to Los Molles, Las Leñas and explore the Pozo de las Ánimas.

Una sorprendente formación geológica sobre la ruta entre Los Molles y Las Leñas, en Mendoza. Conocidas como Dolinas, se originan en terrenos blandos tales como el yeso, donde por efecto de las filtraciones de las napas freáticas subterráneas, se produce una disolución del suelo.
Los fuertes vientos característicos en este lugar producen silbidos ululantes caraterísticos, y fueron inspiración para una vieja leyenda que sostiene que aquí se escuchan gemidos del más allá. Los Mapuches llaman a este lugar Trolope Co, que en su dialecto significa Agua de los Muertos o Agua del Gritadero de las Animas.
Cuenta la leyenda que dos pueblos rivales mantenían una relación muy tensa hasta que uno de ellos invadió al que habitaba en la zona cercana de Los Molles. En medio de la noche se produjo una brutal persecución, pero afortunadamente los invadidos lograron escapar. Al día siguiente, buscando confirmar que realmente estaban a salvo, llegaron a la zona del actual Pozo de las Animas y comenzaron a escuchar algunos lamentos que les llamaron la atención. Se sorprendieron con la presencia de dos enormes pozos que se habían hundido bajo los pies de sus perseguidores. En el fondo se encontraban los cuerpos moribundos de sus enemigos. Sus gemidos asustaron a los observadores, quienes desde ese momento veneraron la formación que los había salvado. Además la tradición regional sostiene que a este lugar van a rezar y llorar las almas que vagan en pena por las montañas.

Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) is situated about 10 kilometers from downtown La Paz, in the Pedro Domingo Murillo Province, La Paz Department, Bolivia. It consists of an area where erosion has worn away the majority of a mountain, composed primarily of clay rather than rock, leaving tall spires. It is similar to another zone of La Paz that is known as El Valle de las Animas (The Valley of the Souls). It is an important site of the famous holiday, Dias de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

The Valle de las Animas, or Valley of the Souls is a densely packed forest of rock formations, each stabbing toward the sky in great clusters. Formed out of mudrock and erosion over hundreds of years, the visually-stunning valley has drawn in visitors for thousands of years.

There are geysers 80 km from the town of San Pedro de Atacama. There are about 80 geysers that lie in a valley. They are closer to the town of Chiu Chiu.
Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) of an area where erosion has worn away the majority of a mountain, composed primarily of clay rather than rock, leaving tall spires. It is similar to another zone of La Paz that is known as El Valle de las Animas (The Valley of the Souls). It is an important site of the famous holiday.
Because the mineral content of the mountains varies greatly between individual mountains, the sides of the mountains are different colors, creating striking optical illusions. A majority of them are a clear beige or light brown color, but some are almost red, with sections of dark violet.
Monte Fitz Roy is a mountain located near El Chaltén village, in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field in Patagonia, on the border between Argentina and Chile.
El Chaltén is a small mountain village in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. It is located in the riverside of Rio de las Vueltas, within the Los Glaciares National Park at the base of Cerro Torre and Cerro Fitz Roy mountains, both popular for climbing. It is also a popular base for hiking numerous trails, such as those to the base of surrounding peaks and glacial lakes, such as Laguna Torre.
For those reasons, El Chaltén was named Argentina's Trekking Capital or Capital Nacional del
Chaltén is a tehuelche word meaning smoking mountain, as they believe it was a volcano for its peak is most of the time covered by clouds. Other visited tracks and sights are Torre Glacier, Laguna Capri, Piedras Blancas Glacier, Chorrillo del Salto, and Laguna de los Tres.
El Calafate is a city in Patagonia, Argentina. It is situated in the southern border of Lake Argentino, in the southwest part of the Santa Cruz Province, about 320 km Northwest of Río Gallegos. The name of the city is derived from a little bush with yellow flowers and dark blue berries that is very common in Patagonia: the calafate (Berberis buxifolia); the word comes from the word calafate, which is Spanish for caulk.
El Calafate is an important tourist destination as the hub to visit different parts of the Los Glaciares National Park, including the Perito Moreno Glacier and the Cerro Chaltén and Cerro Torre
