Top 15 Things To Do In Cebu City, Philippines | Cebu Tourist Attractions: Top best places to visit in Cebu City, Cebu tourist attractions:
1. Argao - A town that exudes a charm that has remained unspoiled by humans and is situated two hours south of Cebu City.
2. Oslob - situated near the southernmost point of Cebu, Oslob is one of the best places to swim with whale sharks, the largest fish in the world.
3. Sumilon Island Sandbar - Just a short 10 minute ride from Oslob, Sumilon Island has become popular amongst tourists for its picturesque scenery, clear blue waters, and very fine powder-like sands.
4. Tumalog Falls - A highly recommended attraction to visit while in Oslob. The water is not very deep, you can soak your feet in the refreshing water.
5. Kawasan Falls - One of the most popular waterfalls in all of the Philippines, it's perfect for nature lovers, It’s a 2 to 3 hours ride from the city.
6. Aguinid Falls - Although not quite as popular as Kawasan falls, Aguinid falls have become an exciting destination among tourists on the island of cebu. You are able to climb up the rocks along with a tour guide.
7. Cebu Taoist Temple - A religious site located in the Beverly Hills Subdivision of Cebu City. it became popular among visitors, due to its peculiar structure and artistic appeal.
8. Temple Of Leah - The temple was built by Teodorico Soriano Adarna’s, as a gesture of love to his late wife Leah Albino-Adarna. This is a relatiely new temple, the construction started in 2012, and has been designed in an ancient Greek style, with fantastically built statues and architecture.
9. Sinulog Festival - A traditional celebration in Cebu City held every January, as a month long celebration to honour the Santo Niño, or child Jesus. the festival is done by a dance ritual, in which it tells the story of the Filipino people’s pagan past and their acceptance of Christianity.
10. Cebu Basilica Del Santo Niño - The church was founded by Fray Andrés de Urdaneta, on the 28th of April 1565, and is the oldest Roman Catholic church in the Philippines.
11. Lapu-Lapu Shrine In Mactan Island - A 20-meter bronze statue located in the Mactan Shrine park in Mactan Island, Cebu. The statue was built to commemorate Rajah Lapu-Lapu, the indigenous Mactan Island leader who, in the famous Battle of Mactan in 1521, defeated Ferdinand Magellan.
12. Cebu's Oceanarium - The first marine park in the Visayas and Mindanao featuring over 200 different species of sea animals, as well as several species of birds, insects and reptiles, and is the largest oceanarium in all of the Philippines. The ocean park also features function areas and a food hall and can be visited all year round.
13. Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral - Officially known as the Metropolitan Cathedral and Parish of Saint Vitalis, and of the Immaculate Conception, it is a wide religious structure of Spanish colonial design. Dedicated to St. Vitalis and built near the fort in April 1565 by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi.
14. The Heritage Of Cebu Monument - The Heritage of Cebu Monument is a collection of sculptures constructed of concrete, bronze, brass, and steel that depict scenes from historical events and buildings. This is one of the more recent additions to Cebu attractions, as the monument was built starting in July 1997, and was completed in December 2000. Eduardo Castrillo, a local artist, created the sculptures of the Cebu Heritage Monument.
15. Bentayan Island - Located to the west of the northern end of Cebu island, travelling to the island will take you approximately 5 hours from Cebu city, but is well worth the trip. Being one of the most frequently visited areas in the Philippines for its clear blue waters and white sands. It also sports saltwater lagoons, mangrove boardwalks, cave pools, and old ruins. Kota beach, paradise beach, virgin island, and Mangrove Garden are among just a few of the many sights and activities to explore in Bentayan island.

I went around to many islands in the Philippines over the span of my three trips to the country. I have put together a list of the top places in the Philippines for you to visit and even research. Philippines tourism appears to be back to normal and these tourist spots are thriving again. I really enjoyed Palawan and many would say that is the best place in the Philippines, with El Nido and Coron being the top places there. I also felt Siargao was a special place to visit for its diversity in activities to do. Boracay seemed to be the most popular tourist destination in Philippines. Philippines Street Food in LAPU-LAPU City | BEST Place to Eat Street Food in CEBU!
Travelled via ship on a 2GO vessel from Manila to Cebu to explore food spots around Cebu. Went straight to Lapu-Lapu City to check out some Filipino street food in Opon Mercado (Lapu-Lapu Public Market). There were grilled meats, ice cream, grilled bananas, kikiam, pungko pungko on the side of the streets and refreshing drinks around the public market.
Also had the chance to attend Kadaugan Food Festival at the Mactan Shrine. Hotels around Mactan showcased their food offerings to the locals at an affordable price. Tried Mamen (fusion of Mami and Ramen) and some Balbacua.

As promised, this is part 2 of Lapu-Lapu City tour.
Entering the city via Sergio Osmeña Jr. Bridge or more popularly known as The Old Bridge. Then I will head straight to The Outlets by Pueblo Verde in Basak, Lapu-Lapu. I will also drive by Pueblo Verde Terminal (Tamiya Terminal) located right beside The Outlets.
From there, I will drive to the city's government center in Barangay Pusok along M.L. Quezon National Highway (in betwwen the old bridge and the 2nd bridge). It will just be a quick pass because our main destinations are the 2 parks located under the 2 bridges connecting Lapu-Lapu to Mandaue. The park under M. Fernan Bridge is the Millenium Park and the other one is the Bridge Park underneath the old bridge.
I will park Siloy upon reaching each destination (bridge park) so I can show you what's inside the Parks. So come and let's drive.

There is usually a lot going on in Lapu Lapu, Mactan Island and things are often more laid back than Cebu City, Cebu, but this day was different. New travel and shopping restrictions had been announced and many were taking what actions they could to protect their families and stock up on food while they could. It is possible that shorter curfews actually increase the number of people in groups as there is a shorter tine period to do the necessary shopping. The malls and markets are open and the mayor backed off the plan to restrict who could shop.
