In October 2019 we visited Tinker Air Force Base FamCamp in Oklahoma City, OK. While they do not accept reservations you can contact them to see if they have availability. It is pretty small and the sites are packed in tight.
Military campgrounds (or famcamps) are a great benefit to Active Duty, Guard/Reserve, Retired, and some disabled military. If you have any questions about your eligibility to use these, please contact the military campground you are interested in visiting as each has slightly different rules. All branches of the service (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and even Space Force) operate campgrounds all over the United States and not just on military installations!

Basic RV campground, NO privacy, no shade. Well maintained and off by itself so low traffic. Easiest way to find it is go in the gate nearest the hospital on post.

Arnold Air Force Base Tennessee & Rock City Georgia.
We continue to travel to the south east and we stop for the night at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. The next day we did a tourist thing and went to rock city right across the state line in Georgia. The road going up was a little scary but it was well worth the effort. At the outlook you can see seven different states. Then we travel through Atlanta Georgia and the traffic was crazy.
