Kui Buri National Park, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand | Must Visit Place | Travellers | Alissa & Jay

We just came from an exhausting hike climbing through the hills of a cave up and down under the scorching sun, so this drizzling rain was super refreshing! Driving through these beautiful village roads still paved into neat highway roads was absolutely refreshing!

In this video, we will be exploring Deep into Kui Buri National Park with the help of park rangers. The weather was not our friend. It started raining as we reached the national park and so the wildlife did not visit their feeding area.

It was an absolutely amazing trip and we enjoyed it a lot while still drenched in rain. It is a must-visit place for any wildlife watchers.

We Saw WILD ELEPHANTS! Hua Hin, Pranburi Forest Park, Kui Buri National Park, Thailand Travel Vlog

In this Thailand Travel Vlog we finally succeeded in seeing wild elephants!!! We previously went to Khao Yai National Park in search of wild elephants, but we didn't get lucky that day. Many of you commented and told us we should go to Kui Buri National Park - which is what we did today!
We left Bangkok for the weekend and stayed in Hua Hin which is the perfect place to start this day trip to Kui Buri National Park!
In Hua Hin we rented a tuktuk/truck for the day. As you can only go on the elephant safari between 2pm-5pm, we decided to stop at a couple places on the way to Kui Buri.
Our first stop was at Wat Tham Khao Tao. We had seen pictures of the cute little temple in the middle of a lake before, but it was actually so much bigger than we expected! After the lake temple, there is also a huge cave temple right next to the ocean! They're both really pretty and definitely worth checking out if you're in Hua Hin!
After the temple we continued 10 minutes down the road to the Pranburi Forest Park. We wanted to go to the park for the boardwalk through the mangrove forest, however this also ended up being SO MUCH COOLER than we expected!!!! Not only is he Pranburi Forest Park actually a very big forest, it's a huge forest on the beach that you can go camping at!!! Also in the middle of the mangrove forest boardwalk you can rent a boat to take you through the mangrove forest! While we didn't have time to do that this trip, it is definitely on our to do list - along with camping on the beach!
After the Pranburi Forest Park, we headed to Kui Buri National Park to see the elephants!
It is a bit confusing to plan a trip here as we started at the wildlife observation area (not the actual national park according to google maps). You can also only do the elephant safari tour from 2pm-5pm. You can't take your own car and you can't make reservations.. Luckily we didn't have any issues showing up and paying for a truck. There is one price for the national park entrance, another small fee to park, and the 850 baht is per safari truck (1-6 people) which comes with a guide. It was so worth it, as you can see in our video!!! The guides all have walky-talkies so they can let each other know when they spot wildlife. Due to this we were able to see over 20 wild elephants!!! It was an amazing trip that we would definitely recommend to anyone! We also saw an endangered wild gaur (bos gaurus) or Indian Bison!

Pranburi & Kuiburi Travel Guide

Pranburi & Kuiburi - A Touch of true nature

KUIBURI Empty beaches and hotels. Wild elephants in the National Park before Wat Tan Chet Yot.

From Hua Hin we drove down to Kuiburi having stopped off at Khao Sam Roi Yat Park and Phraya Nakon Cave (see previous video). Kuiburi is the most peaceful place we have found in Thailand this time round: we were literally the only peope in our hotel! The beaches were deserted, the restaurants were just locals and us . Bliss!
The wild elephants in Kuiburi National park were amazing. No, you can't feed them, wash them, pet them or ride them. Just enjoy seeing them as they should live - wild in the jungle. They may be further away at times and not guaranteed to see them (although from research we did very very rare not to) but worth it for them to be living as they should.

On the way back to Bangkok via Hua Hin to drop the rental car we stopped off at Wat Tan Chet Yot - in keeping with this area incredibly quiet and tranquil and a great place to stop off for an hour or so before returning to the madness of Bangkok.

Please subscribe if you want to get updates as VLOGs come out as we continue our travels in SE Asia through Laos and Cambodia before returning to Thailand.

Searching for WILD ELEPHANTS KUI BURI National Park - We Hit the Motherload!!

Hands down, THE best place in Thailand to see wild elephants is by going on the elephant safari at Kui Buri National Park, located 60-90 minutes south of Hua Hin. I visited with Karl's Thailand at EXACTLY THE RIGHT time of day.... which is just AFTER 3:00 pm. Going any earlier will lesson your chances.
It cost about THB 700 each ($20 ish) and for that, we got a guide (we tipped her and the driver THB 500 between them at the end because we are nice), a pick up truck and some binoculars, which I think is tremendous value.
This NP is also one of the best places worldwide to see the mythical Gaur in all its glory, with some of the mighty beasts standing at 7 feet tall!
In about a 90 minute loop, stopping at various spots, we were lucky enough to see about 68 Gaur, 25 Elephants, multiple Hornbills (they are very fast but you can hear the swish and feel the air from their wings as they fly overhead) and jungle chickens.
Kuiburi National Park is the place that just keeps on giving - if WILD ELEPHANTS are your thing, this is the BEST place in all of Thailand!

HUA HIN THAILAND - PHRAYA NAKHON CAVE, KUI BURI NATIONAL PARK, CHOPSTICKS HILL,

Today we're in Hua Hin Thailand.

Hua Hin Thailand is about 3 hours south of Bangkok.
Hua Hin has a fishing village heritage which it still holds onto. The small city revolves around its seafood and strategic position on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. It has also become a holiday and weekend destination for many Bangkok locals. It is vibrant yet less crowded than Bangokok. Every night many roads are closed off and come alive with street night markets. The main street market rivals some of the best in Bangkok.

We stayed here for its strategic position as a base with which to venture on daytips to some amazing places. Firstly we visit Chopsticks Hill in Hua Hin. From here we visit Khao Sam Roi Yot National park which includes the Phraya Nakhon Cave and the mystical temple within. This is one of the most spectacular sights in all of Thailand. Please stick around for that. It really is a mysterious, surreal experience. It almost feels like you're in an Indiana Jones movie!

From there we go to Kui Buri National Park. Here we go on safari on the back of an SUV searching for Elephants. It is highly reccommended, as you'll see many other animals on the way as you drive through the deep dark, brooding rainforest.

We stayed at the beautiful Chalelarn hotel. It is arguably one of the best hotels in Hua Hin with its authentic decor, sea views, rooftop pool and central position in town.
So this is Hua Hin, Lets check it out.
