Road Trip to Namada Chilume | 6.5 KM from Devarayanadurga | Day Trip from Bangalore
Namada Chilume is a natural spring located around 6.5 km from Devarayanadurga and about 14 km from Tumkur town in the Tumkur district of Karnataka. It is a good candidate for visit when you are visiting Devarayanadurga. Namada Chilume literally means spring of tilak in Kannada. It is said that Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman stayed here during their exile to forest. One day Ram wanted to put tilak on his forehead but could not find water. He shot an arrow on the rock and led to the oozing of the spring. The water comes out of a small hole and never dries throughout the year. The water is considered sacred and also called tirtha in Kannada.
A deer park has been added to the Namada Chilume area. The park has good number of deer. Entry fees to the park is Rs 10 per person and timings are 9 AM to 5 PM.
The route from Devarayanadurga to Namada Chilume is very scenic and has interesting geological formations. Good for a day trip along with nearby items.

Namada Chilume Deer park | Tumkur | Karnataka
It's located at Tumkur in Karnataka, India. It's famous for deers & monkeys surrounded with greenary. And there was history which Rama, Sita & Lakshmana stayed here.

Namada Chilume (pronounced naamada chilume' in Kannada) is a natural spring situated by Devarayanadurga, near Tumkur in the state of Karnataka in India. The spring issues from the surface of the rock. It is believed that Rama, along with Sita and Lakshmana, stayed here during their exile in the forest.
Govaranahalli lakshmi Temple
Temple Goravanahalli is located in Koratagere Taluk of Tumkur district, Karnataka, India. It is believed that Abbayya, a poor man, was blessed with the idol of Goddess Mahalakshmi. After worshipping Goddess Mahalakshmi at home, Abbayya became rich. He started doing charity work and his home was called Lakshmi Nivasa.
Later, Abbayya's brother Thodappa joined Abbayya in his charity work. After the death of Abbayya, Thodappa was performing poojas to the Goddess. He was asked by Goddess Lakshmi in his dreams to build a shrine for her. Hence, Thodappa built a temple for Goddess Lakshmi. After Thodappa, Chowdayya started performing poojas; but from the year 1910, the temple fell into a neglected state.
Goravanahalli Shree Mahalakshmi Temple Main Entrance, In the year 1925, Kamalamma on arriving at Goravanahalli, saw the neglected state of the temple. She started performing the poojas for the Goddess. Then again after a year temple was in a neglected state, when she left the place. But then in 1952, Kamalamma was back in Goravanahalli and settled there. After this regular poojas were performed by Kamalamma. People wait in queue for the darshana of Shree Mahalakshmi. In due time, temple attained fame by word of mouth. Tuesdays and Fridays are considered very auspicious here and lot of people visit the temple in these days of the week. Lakshadeepotsava is one of the revered religious programmes here in Karthika maasa. Free lunch is provided everyday to devotees.

The Unknown and Trekking Paradise Navilkurike Bettada Thimmapaa Hill Temple is about 89km from Bengaluru, 195km from Mysuru, located in Navilakurike village. What to say about this place, just heaven all around. One needs to start the trek from below the hill via muddy trail that leads to the half way of the hill. From the half way there are huge stone rocks that one needs to walk on to reach the top. Sri Thimmapaa Swamy Temple is present at the top. Almighty Shiva Linga with Sri Thimmapaa Swamy udhbhava murthy idol is present inside the temple. The view from above is eye soothing, jaw breaking no words to describe just Amazing. Ideal place for Photography and Camping. Overall the blessings of Sri Thimmapaa Swamy and the mesmerizing nature all around makes this a must visit picnic place with Friends and Family

For all you lovely Bengalureans who were asking me for an unknown hardcore trekking heaven, this one is for you. The Unknown and Gigantic Minchikall Betta is about 87km from Bengaluru, 162km from Mysuru, located in Hoskote village. There are no steps or sequence of path to the top, thus making the trek hardcore and fun. There is a destroyed muddy road below the hill, which can be considered as the starting point of trek. One needs to climb on the stones and muddy grass path to reach the top. Sri Anjanaya Swamy Udhbhava murthy is present at the top. Ancient fort can also be seen here. The view from above is godly heaven, cant be expressed as it needs to be felt. Worth the climb and every time spent above. Ideal place for nature Photography and Camping. Looking for a once in a lifetime hardcore trekking experience, this is the place to be. Thus making this a must visit picnic place with Friends and Family
