If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. We look at the best and worst cities, states, towns, and neighborhoods in the United States. Occasionally we do other countries. Most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. That is just what people want to see.
If you only want some happy positive information about a city, town, or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine, rainbows, and a bunch of smoke up your skirt. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will.

Seligman Arizona (Travel Guide to the Birthplace of Historic Route 66)- Ghost-towns and Oddities

Route 66 is the ultimate American road-trip. Travel the iconic highway (The Mother Road) east from Kingman to Seligman (The Birthplace of Historic Route 66), stopping at famous ghost towns like Hackberry, Truxton and Valentine along the way. Drop by the Grand Canyon Caverns, once a major tourist attraction in Arizona. Learn about Angel Delgadillo and how Historic Route 66 came into existence. Finally, cool off at Delgadillo's Snowcap.

This film takes a drive along the longest uninterrupted original stretch of Route 66 still in existence in Arizona. This is where Route 66 deviates massively from the route of Interstate 40 as it followed the railroad in a loop northwards from Seligman to Kingman. The towns and attractions along this stretch suddenly found themselves miles from the main Chicago to Los Angeles route and most dwindled away. This is the place to come for photogenic ghost towns and the melancholic feeling of a life lost. The enormous car park in front of the Grand Canyon Caverns tells a story of how this was once the second most popular attraction in Arizona after the Grand Canyon. These days you'll have it all to yourself if you stop by.
