Switzerland is a rather small country but has plenty of beautiful villages. Many of them have maintained their traditional appearance, which has attracted numerous tourists from all over the world. The diversity of the Swiss villages has fascinated many visitors, whichever region you visit, the villages all look unique and different. Some people say that you only will get to feel the authentic villages, when you choose to visit one or more of the many traditional villages. But which ones are worth to visit? With this video, I proudly present you my TOP 10 MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES OF SWITZERLAND for the year 2023 in detail. I am sure that you may be familiar with a few of these 10 villages, but the majority on this list will most likely be new to you! This is likely the most detailed travel guide video about Swiss villages here on YouTube! Wonderful Marthalen lays in northern Switzerland in Zürich’s wine land region. The village charms with its many wood frame houses and alleys. Marthalen is best to be visited during Spring and Summer, when the entire landscape shines in green. Nearby attractions would be the village of Rheinau with its monastery and the Rhine falls, Europe’s tallest river waterfall. Gandria in Ticino is a beautiful hanging fishing village just at the boarder to Italy. Gandria is best to be visited by boat from Lugano, Morcote or Porlezza. The village has numerous stairs and alleys and feels like a maze, quite exciting! Poschiavo is located in the Italian-speaking part of the canton of Graubünden. The village is rather large and the most alive among all of these villages on this Top 10 list. The village also has a very interesting history one can learn about in the three local museums. Lessoc is a rather secret village located in Fribourg. It’s less noticed due to the more famous nearby towns of Gruyères and Château d’Oex. Lessoc is great for those visitors who want to avoid crowds. Sonogno is the uppermost village in the very touristy Valle Verzasca. It’s very popular among Swiss and German visitors but remains rather unknown to the rest of the world. The village charms with its traditional stone houses and alleys. Albinen is the hidden gem of this list. It’s very similar to Grimentz but the core is larger and there are more details to discover. The village is very raw, alone this fact is a strong reason for anyone to come here. Albinen is best to be combined with nearby Leukerbad, the Swiss oasis of wellness. Morcote remains a favorite for anyone who loves alluring villages. It’s similar to Gandria but busier. Consider climbing the hill to enjoy a great vista down to the church. Lungern is probably the most popular village on this Top 10 villages list. Lungern has been admired for its green hills and turquoise lake, definitely a wonderful alpine oasis to visit. Iseltwald, the winner of Last years’ Top 10 villages list does not seize to amaze its visitors. The village is full of these wonderful wooden houses that well blend with the lake and the green hills. Iseltwald is great to be included into a holiday at Interlaken. The winner of this year’s Top 10 Swiss Villages is Bosco Gurin! This place remains very raw despite its incredible beauty! Bosco Gurin is the perfect serene village one would seek to find. Enjoy walking around in the many alleys, spotting the traditional stone and wooden houses and enjoy the alpine environment. The mountain, the Swiss don't want you to know about! ???????? Stanserhorn Travel Guide
Stanserhorn is a mountain in the Swiss Alps. It is mainly known among locals and offers great views of the surrounding mountains such as Pilatus, Rigi, Titlis and Jungfrau and it has got a unique open air cable car to ride up in. Stanserhorn lies above the Swiss town called Stans, in the Canton Nidwalden.
To get onto Stanserhorn you can either take a funicular that connects to the amazing open air cable car, CabriO, or you can hike up. What's special about Stanserhorn is that the cable car is included in the Swiss Travel Pass and this makes it great deal for travelers. The money that you saved on transportation, you can comfortably spend on local meals in the restaurant and enjoy breathtaking views and fresh Swiss air with every bite. After the meal, you can hike up to the summit and admire one of the best Swiss panoramas there is!

Nina zeigt euch die besten Campingplätze in Kärnten. Insgesamt gibt es 100 verschiedene Campingplätze. Die verteilen sich an Seen, direkt in den Bergen oder auch über Bauernhöfe. So könnt ihr euch je nach Lieblings-Aktivität den passenden Platz aussuchen. Weitere Tipps und Campingplätze findet ihr hier:
Camping Maltatal
Direkt im Maltatal, im Norden Kärntens, liegt der gleichnamige Campingplatz. Die Hohen Tauern sind ganz in der Nähe. Für Familien ist vor allem das bunte Programm mit Ponyreiten, Streichelzoo und Traktorfahrten ideal. Außerdem gibt es ein beheiztes Schwimmbad.Perfekt, um nach einem Wandertag in der Region zu Relaxen. Rundherum könnt ihr nämlich die Natur in all ihren Facetten erleben. Egal, ob beim Wandern oder Biken. Wer mag, kann auch an einer geführten Kräuterwanderung teilnehmen. Im Anschluss an die Kräuterführung stellt ihr selbst eure eigene natürliche Zahnpasta her. Oder ihr erkundet den Fallbach Wasserfall. Dieser ist mit einer Höhe von 220 Metern der höchste Wasserfall in Kärnten. Direkt neben dem Wasserfall befindet sich eine Kletterroute für erfahrene Kletterer.
Camping am Waldbad
In der Nähe vom Weißensee liegt der Campingplatz Waldbad zwischen Wald und Drau. Damit ist er der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um über die Drau zu Paddeln. Oder ihr leiht euch direkt am Campingplatz ein Bike aus, und erkundet den Drauradweg direkt am Fluss entlang. Und natürlich könnt ihr auch die Wanderschuhe schnüren. Direkt am Campingplatz gibt es auch ein Schwimmbad. Mit der Kärnten-Card ist der Eintritt in das Bad gratis.
Camping Anderwald
Dieser Campingplatz liegt direkt am Faaker See mit Blick auf den Mittagskogel. Am Campingplatz werden eine Vielzahl an geführten Touren angeboten. Es gibt Klettersteigtouren, Biketouren, etc. Oder ihr lasst einfach die Natur auf euch wirken & genießt den Sonnenuntergang am Faaker See. Schöner geht’s kaum!

Aarau, the capital of the Canton of Aargau, is located on the River Aare to which the town and canton owe their name.
Aarau is located by the southern foot of the Jura foothills in the centre of the big city triangle of Zurich, Basel and Lucerne. The central location was recognised early on which is why Aarau for a brief few months in 1798 was Switzerland's first capital and home to Switzerland's first Houses of Parliament.
The charming old town boasts the most beautiful eaves, the so-called «Dachhimmel» which predominantly date from the 16th century when the town underwent considerable extension, are a special feature of the old town of Aarau. It's for this reason that Aarau is regarded as the town of beautiful gables.
Aarau continues to display an appreciation of art: the Aargau Art Museum featuring an extension designed by the famous architects Herzog & de Meuron offers architecture and art exhibitions setting high standards. The «Naturama», Aargau nature museum, is not your run-of-the-mill museum: animals, plants, exciting video films highlight the interaction and areas of conflict between nature and man in Aargau.
The Roggenhausen Wildlife Park has wild animals in their natural habitat as well as a Nature Trail. Cycling and walking trails alongside the River Aare and the Jura slopes provide the perfect opportunity for some pleasant physical exercise. But to see the people of Aargau really enjoying themselves you need to come to one of the local and historic traditional events, such as the «Maienzug» in July, the «Bachfischet» or «Rüeblimärt».
The Canton of Aargau boasts a great many castles, including some of Switzerland's most impressive such as the Lenzburg, the Hallwyl Water Castle and the Habsburg Castle - main residence of the famous dynasty from the the 10th century onwards. And Brugg, Baden and Zurich are a very short journey away. The Vindonissa Museum offers an opportunity to discover traces of the Romans and Windish is home to the biggest and best-preserved amphitheatre in Switzerland. And there are also a lot of historic towns, such as Bremgarten, Zofingen and others, to visit in the Canton of Aargau.

4K BRUNNEN SCHWYZ WALKING TOUR by Shingbase
Brunnen is a resort on Lake Lucerne in Switzerland, part of the municipality Ingenbohl (Canton of Schwyz), at 46°59′44″N 8°36′17″ECoordinates: 46°59′44″N 8°36′17″E.
Brunnen railway station, on the Gotthard railway, is served by hourly InterRegio trains, and by lines S2 of the Stadtbahn Zug, which operates hourly between Zug, Arth-Goldau and Erstfeld, and S3 of the S-Bahn Luzern, which operates hourly to Lucerne.

Once again it was a wonderful excursion. I was really hoping for colours at sunrise and sunset. And they did indeed come! I took the opportunity to shoot some footage with Rasta using my new camera, the Nikon Z9. I have to say, the picture quality in low light is very cool. Rasta almost jumps out of the picture! Although he would have liked more action from me, of course :)

Melchsee Frutt DRIVE Expressively snow-sure and versatile winter sports area
Melchsee-Frutt is a mountain resort village in Switzerland. It is located near the lake Melchsee, in the municipality of Kerns, canton Obwalden.
The village is located at 1,920 metres (6,300 ft) above sea level and is the heart of the resort. The main attractions of this resort are alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, hiking, biking, rock climbing, paragliding and fishing. The village is accessible by car during the summer, but with some time restrictions. It can also be reached by use of a gondola lift.
Ski Resort
From early December until early April, the ski resort is open to the public. The four chairlifts, four T-bar lifts and two gondola lifts service the 32 acres of lift-accessible terrain. The base station, Stöckalp, is located at 1080 meters above sea level. The three peaks, Erzegg, Balmeregg and Bonistock are at 2150, 2255 and 2160 meters, respectively.
History
Tourism began in 1936 when Otto Reinhart organized the installation of the first gondola that connected Stöckalp with Melchsee-Frutt. There were two cabins with a capacity of four passengers apiece. By 1945, the gondola was upgraded to two cabins with a capacity of eight passengers apiece. Over the next decade, tourism increased, and in 1956, Habegger AG was commissioned to build a new Gondola with two 33 passenger cabins and a maximum capacity of 156 passengers per hour.
In 1976 the gondola was once again replaced and capacity was increased to 750 passengers per hour to meet the ever growing demands, especially during the winter ski season. This lift was decommissioned in the fall of 2012, and the current gondola entered service on December 15, 2012. It nearly doubled the capacity to 1325 passengers per hour and also reduced the travel time from 20 minutes to 10 minutes.
Just as the gondola has been upgraded over the past 60 years, so have the other ski lifts. Modern high-speed detachable chair lifts have been installed for the ascent between Stöckalp and the Bonistöck and the Erzegg lift. Only the Balmeregg summit and the Vögelbuel beginners' area are still serviced with t-bars.

Amazing day in the Swiss Alps: Melchsee Frutt
On a warm day in September 2021 my boys and I drove to one of my favourite places in Switzerland, to Melchsee Frutt. This wonderful Alpine plateau is located in the heart of Central Switzerland, at 1,920 meters above sea level and is accessible by gondola and in the summer time also by narrow mountain road. We opted for the mountain road and drove all the way up.
Melchsee Frutt is great place for walking and hiking. On this occasion my boys and I hiked the easy circular trail (Fruttli trail / Fruttli weg) around the Lake Melch (Melchsee) and had lots of fun out in the nature. Our toddler also enjoyed amazing playground in the village.

Melchsee Fruit is another hidden gem in Switzerland which tourists are unaware of. It is a mountain resort village in the heart of Switzerland. It is situated in the canton of Obwalden. It is located near the lake Melchsee in the municipality of Kerns. The parking of Stockalp (from where you can take a cable car to Melchsee) is just 1 hour by car from Zurich. The address for the parking lot at Stockalp is : Fruttstrasse 53, 6067 Melchtal.

Switzerland in 4k: From riding a cart down the mountains at Grindelwald to walking through snow on the top of Europe at Jungfraujoch in Switzerland. This was the year 2020 even though having a lockdown because of the strange situation caused by Covid-19.
