Bertam Resort Penang Walking Tour
Bertam Resort Penang is a luxury resort hotel in Kepala Batas, Seberang Perai. It opened on 1st March 2023. The resort is part of an integrated development that includes the Bertam Souq & Waterpark, covering a total of 20 acres, making it possibly the largest resort hotel in Penang. In this video, I will take you on a walking tour of the resort and explain to you all the sights and facilities.

Kepala Batas (GPS: 5.51666, 100.42552), (甲抛峇底) is a township in Seberang Perai Utara. It is the northenmost major town on Penang Mainland. The name Kepala Batas means head of the bund. It is a common name in agricultural villages where rice is grown. There is another town called Kepala Batas too in Kedah.
Kepala Batas in Penang is the hometown for Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, a former prime minister of Malaysia, who was also the Member of Parliament for Kepala Batas from 1978 until 2013.
Jalan Kubang Menderung is the main road through Kepala Batas. It runs east-west, connecting the Federal Route 1 to the west with the North-South Expressway Northern Route. The other main road in town was named Jalan Datuk Haji Ahmad Badawi.

Merdeka Bridge or Jambatan Merdeka is a major bridge in Malaysia. It is situated in Jalan Butterworth-Sungai Petani at the Penang-Kedah Border on Muda River.
It was constructed between 1955 and 1957. The bridge was officially opened in 1957 when Malaya achieved its independence from Britain, hence its name. The bridge was initially a 2-lane single carriageway bridge before being duplicated on another side for Penang-bound traffic to increase traffic capacity.

Here’s the other 2 days 1 night of our Penang itinerary for your walk through. Enjoy!
Day 5 – From Georgetown, we travelled to Penaga with 30mins driving
6pm- Arrived Kg Agong and check in at Tekukur Homestay
8pm – Dinner at Homestay’s verandah with chilling at the mutant hammock
10pm- Off to bed
Day 6- Immersing the Kg Agong with:
7.30am - Cycling (using the old-school bicycles) across the village
• Pit stops for snapping pictures at an Instagram worthy locations
o Bali-inspired swing-tie to coconut-tree
o Picturesque bird nest
o Replica of a white grand piano
o model traditional wooden houses
9am – Breakfast the traditional kueh and Nasi Lemak, prepared by Homestay service
10am- Cycling again and the place is started filled by the public
11.30am- Back to homestay and ready for check out
12.30pm- Check out and one last round “Jalan2” and bought their must-try Bubble Tea
1.30pm – Lunch at Pak Long Din Mee Udang
2.30pm – Visiting Pak Man Ladang Nipah
3.30pm – Driving back to KL (after 6 days of memorable travelling to Penang)

Islamic architecture dominates Morocco, seen in horseshoe arches, Islamic domes, towers, and extraordinarily ornate and complex geometric designs. Moroccan interior design often combines delicate hand-carved furniture pieces with luxurious plump upholstery. The architectural of this resort is moroccan style decor features bright colors, intricate patterns, and natural elements.
I last stayed at the Bertam Resort in April and it had just opened. Tickets for the water park are purchased separately and you can ask at reception when you check in to your hotel. The water park is small and suitable for families with small children. Although the hotel is located on the outskirts of Penang, but I will highly recommended to those who planning a holiday trip with your family. The main goal of a holiday is to completely forget about your worries.
