Covington is a city in Kenton County, Kentucky, United States, located at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking Rivers. Cincinnati, Ohio, lies to its immediate north across the Ohio and Newport, to its east across the Licking and Ludlow to its west. Covington had a population of 40,640 at the time of the 2010 U.S. census, making it the largest city of Northern Kentucky and the fifth-most populous city in the state.[5] It is one of its county's two seats,[6] along with Independence.

Stone walkways line the serene River Owenglin, which runs through the center of town.

Another example of old world meets modern day, Tralee boasts historic Georgian homes interlaced with contemporary buildings and concrete piazzas. Perhaps best known for its annual Rose of Tralee International Festival, Tralee is short on tourists at other times of the year, but big on charm. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Tralee is the Kerry County Museum, which includes life-sized dioramas that bring life in the 20th century to the forefront of our modern day culture.

Jutting into Dingle Bay, on the spectacular Dingle Peninsula, is one of the quaintest fishing towns you'll ever come across. It features hilly, narrow lanes lined by quirky shops and farm-to-table restaurants. Dingle also boasts a picturesque lighthouse, a medieval stone tower dating back to 1847, and brightly painted buildings favored by other charming cities like Kinsale. For a small city, Dingle offers plenty of fun and interesting things to do. What this town is best known for, though, is its more natural surroundings.

There aren't many places that boast a museum dedicated to butter. Nor are there a lot of cities that welcome you as warmly as Cork. The second largest city in the Republic of Ireland, Cork is arguably one of the most cosmopolitan. As a result, you'll find all types of gastronomic delights, as well as diverse art galleries, interesting shops, and unique museums.

Deemed Ireland's first Irish City of Culture, Limerick is a city with grit, and a lot of new found glitz. You'll find an updated waterfront and the bustling Newtown Pery Quarter, which boasts shops and restaurants able to compete with those in any booming metropolis.

Northern Ireland's most famous gem, Belfast was once a place best avoided. Violent clashes between Catholics and Protestants marred the city's image and created segregated areas of town.

We drove from East London to Port Alfred, the scenic view is amazing- so green, full of mountains. Get to enjoy the beautiful scenery with crystal blue waters. They have a lovely restaurant and plenty of boat cruise companies by the Harbour.
We had lunch at a cute place that sells amazing amazing food in Port Alfred (opposite KFC);
Thee Braai House:
Their food was mouth watering, delicious & fresh, they were also so friendly (it's a family business- the mom & son), we even went again the same day to get dinner.
We then drove to Kenton-on-Sea which also has a beautiful beach, a mini sand bank, and just all the greenery and beautiful mountains.
The highlight for me was Shelley beach in Kenton-on-Sea! The beautiful dunes, the high mountain sand, the blue sea water, the amazing rocks and just all round stunning and beautiful views. A dream place to be, just dipping in the water, enjoying the sound of the birds and enjoying nature. To die for.

This road trip is a treasure hunt for sandstone formations, dinosaur tracks and Plains Indian rock art in the hills and canyons of the Oklahoma Panhandle. This video is part of America's Most Scenic Roads, the series that led to Beautiful Byways. The drive starts in the Texas Panhandle before crossing into the Oklahoma Panhandle on US 385. What’s remarkable about the remote western part of the Sooner State is its geological and paleontological importance. This is where prairie shortgrass meets the Rocky Mountains. And a lot of dinosaur bones have been unearthed here – 18 tons, in fact. An ancient volcano exploded in present-day Colorado and one of the lava flows ended in Oklahoma. This slow-eroding real estate is called Black Mesa and as the eastern-most extension of the Rockies, it’s the highest point in Oklahoma, elevation 4,963 feet. As the area where the mountains greet the Great Plains, plants and animals are at their westernmost and easternmost ranges. The rocks are impressive, too. Sandstone formations named “The Old Maid” and “The Wedding Party” are scenic representations of millions of years of erosion. And just across the border in Colorado is an unexpected oasis with more great hiking trails and ancient rock art.
