In this video, we spend an entire day at the Blue Mountains here in Sydney Australia.

Getting there:
Getting to the Blue Mountains from Sydney is easy by car, bus or train. The drive from Sydney to Katoomba is just 90 minutes. Alternatively, if you prefer the train, they regularly depart from Central Station, and you get off at Katoomba station and get a bus to Echo Point Lookout, Scenic world and back
TIP: If you're taking the train, visit on a Sunday because the Opal card caps fares at $2.80 for the entire day!

I would suggest heading to Scenic World first, as their rides are open only from 9AM - 5PM (with the last rides going at 4:50PM). The rides are sold together as a part of a discovery package, and you get unlimited access to the below rides for the entire day. Head to Leura, a suburb in the Blue Mountains for a quick bite to eat; we went to Lily Pad cafe (address: 19 Grose St, Leura) but i've also heard good things about Leura Garage (Address:84 Railway Parade, Leura ) so check that place out and let me know what you think!

After all that, i'd head on to Echo Point, where you can take really awesome pictures of the Three Sisters. Depending on how much time you have left, why not give one of their walks a go, but if you are strapped for time, head to the Three Sisters & Honeymoon Bridge. it's about a 20 minute walk from Echo Point (there are very steep steps though) and you get really close to the Three Sisters!

Scenic World rides: Entire package is $49 AUD (for adults)
1. Scenic Skyway - Walk on air on the Scenic Skyway's glass floor as you glide between cliff tops above the Jamison Valley. At 270 metres, it is the highest cable care in Australia

2. Scenic Railway - At a 52 degree incline, the Scenic Railway is the stepest passenger train in the world.

3. Scenic Cableway - Carrying 84 people, the Scenic Cableway is Australia's biggest cable car. Descend the 545 metres into the Jamison Valley or return back up to the top of the escarpment

4. Scenic Walkway - Spend ten minutes or a full hour strolling among ancient,m temperate rain forest. With a selection of walks totaling 2.4kms, the Walkway is the longest elevated boardwalk in Australia.

This is a very long description - but if you are reading THIS, damn - let me know in the comments and say but are the mountains blue?

Today, we decided to have a day trip by car from Sydney to Blue Mountains. Enjoy our food and travel vlog that will be great guide for you to enjoy a weekend gateway from Sydney. First, we visited Mountain High Pies in Wentworth Falls for their award winning pies. They have won several awards in Great Aussie Pie Competition and Australia's Best Pie and Pastie Competition.

Trip to Blue Mountains will not complete without hike so we decided to check out Wentworth Falls and did the easy hike Fletcher's Lookout. For lunch, we went to Unique Patisserie which undoubtedly hidden gems in Blue Mountains. This patisserie in Katoomba is actually serving Malaysian and Asian food. If you are in Blue Mountains and wondering what to eat, try the Assam Laksa from Unique Patisserie. Other Malaysian dishes include Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang, Char Kway Teow, Chicken Laksa and Nasi Goreng. We had takeaway coffee and cinnamon croissant from Black Cockatoo Bakery which was really good as well just a shop down from Unique Patisserie.

Empress Falls is one of the hidden waterfalls in Wentworth Falls area, the walk was about 1 hour return with a lot of stairs and some steep steps but it is really worth the hike. Whilst driving back to Sydney, we had dinner at Lawson Chinese Restaurant owned by our friend Vincent from dimsimlim.

If you are visiting Blue Mountains for first time, check out our Travel Guide to Blue Mountains via train that include visit to Three Sisters in Katoomba, Scenic World and Leura:
