Abandoned Church 1842 Samotevichi Belarus
Samotevichi is a ghost village in the Kostyukovichi district of the Mogilev Region, Belarus. This village exists on maps, but in reality it does not exist. It is scary to imagine that a huge village of three thousand inhabitants simply disappeared. First, the village disappeared from the documents of the Kostyukovichi district administration, and then from reality. After the Chernobyl accident, radioactive clouds spread throughout the world. The exclusion zone extends not only to 30 kilometers from the station at which the explosion occurred in 1986. There are many black spots on the map of Belarus, the Kostyukovichi district of the Mogilev region is one of them. In fact, you cannot get here without a special pass. However, this is a formality. Instead of houses, there are hills in Samotevichi, under which dwellings are buried. Some buildings survived, but there are very few of them. Previously, several shops, a kindergarten, a hospital, a communications center, and even a cafe worked here. Now, instead of a large village, there is a wild, remote place.
