A youthful university city on the Danube in the heart of Bavaria, Ingolstadt is the headquarters of the car manufacturer Audi. You can return to the very origins of the brand at the Museum Mobile, and follow all stages of the high-tech production process on a factory tour.
South of the factory is an old town of gabled merchants’ houses, neatly preserved and encircled by a Neoclassical system of fortifications from the 19th century. Now the old redoubt, tower and cavalier are museums, while the city they protected has haunting Gothic and Medieval churches and civic buildings that go all the way back to the 13th and 14th centuries.
One of Germany’s leading carmakers of Audi Forum has an big visitor complex next to its factory to the north of Ingolstadt. In a stylish steel and glass building completed in 2000 is a museum documenting the history of the brand, and the companies like Wanderer, DKW and Horch that would eventually merge with Audi.Register in advance and you’ll be treated to a privileged look at the work that goes into each Audi.
The celebrated Late Baroque architects the Asam brothers designed this beautiful church in the 1730s. One of the things that strikes you about the Church of Our Lady is that its two western towers have two different heights. The park is named after Leo von Klenze, who designed the defences, including Reduit Tilly (redoubt) and Turm Triva (tower), which now host a branch of the Bavarian Army Museum and the Police Museum respectively.
Bavaria’s army museum is almost 140 years old, making it Germany’s oldest military museum, and moved to Ingolstadt from Munich in 1972. The main collection is in the Neues Schloss on the left bank on the Danube, while the First World War exhibition is in Reduit Tilly in the Klenzepark. Dating to 1385, Kreuztor is one of two of Ingolstadt’s four city gates still standing from the second Medieval ring of fortifications.
A department of the army museum, the police exhibition is in the Klenzepark’s Triva Tower and assembled objects going back to the Bavarian Revolution of 1918-19. Some of the engaging themes covered by the museum include the stormy days following the First World War, border security during the Cold War and the famed protests that took place in the 1980s against the construction of a nuclear reprocessing plant in Wackersdorf.
Ingolstadt’s old town hall is a compound of four different houses going back to the 1300s. Ingolstadt’s municipal museum is in Kavalier Hepp, a cavalier from the city’s Neoclassical fort, raised at the start of the 1840s. Behind the Altes Rathaus is the oldest building in Ingolstadt, going back to 1234. The Moritzirche also has traces of an even older building from the 800s when the city was founded.
The only specialised museum of its kind in the country is in the 18th-century anatomical theatre building established to train medical students at the University of Ingolstadt. The oldest secular building in Ingolstadt is the whitewashed Gothic castle built in 1255 for Louis II, Duke of Bavaria.

Since 1505 Neuburg was the capital of Palatinate-Neuburg. After merging the county with Bavaria in 1806, it was part of firstly Altmühlkreis (Its center was Eichstätt) between 1806 and 1808, later Oberdonaukreis (Its center was firstly Eichstätt between 1810 and 1817, later Augsburg between 1817 and 1837). It was a rural district center in Schwaben region in 29 November 1837 and On 30 June 1972, Neuburg an der Donau became a Grosse Kreisstadt (similar to a county seat) and was passed to Upper Bavaria region.
Neuburg an der Donau has a defensive wall around the old town. The old town contains some well worth seeing institutions and happenings, such as the 'Birdland Jazz Club Neuburg', one of the best locations for jazz auditions in Germany.
The Renaissance Ducal Palace (Pfalz-Neuburger Residenzschloss), Neuburg Castle, which was built 1530-45 under Otto Henry, Elector Palatine and took on its present-day form during the reign of Philip William, Elector Palatine, today houses several museums including a Baroque gallery of the Bavarian State Picture Collection and the Archäologie-Museum Schloss Neuburg an der Donau (Neuburg an der Donau Castle Archaeology Museum), a branch of the Bavarian State Archaeological Collection. To the other main sights belong also the late Renaissance court church Hofkirche (1607/08 built by Josef Heintz), the Town Hall (1603/09), the rococo Provinzialbibliothek (Provincial Library, 1731/32) and the baroque churches of St. Peter (1641/46) and St. Ursula (1700/01). Grünau is a renaissance hunting lodge of Elector Otto Henry, which is situated 7 km further east. ---------------

Audi AG is a German automobile manufacturer that designs, engineers, produces, markets and distributes luxury vehicles. Audi is a member of the Volkswagen Group and has its roots at Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. Audi-branded vehicles are produced in nine production facilities worldwide.
The origins of the company are complex, going back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch; and two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer), leading to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern era of Audi essentially began in the 1960s when Auto Union was acquired by Volkswagen from Daimler-Benz.[10] After relaunching the Audi brand with the 1965 introduction of the Audi F103 series, Volkswagen merged Auto Union with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969, thus creating the present day form of the company.
The company name is based on the Latin translation of the surname of the founder, August Horch. Horch, meaning listen in German, becomes audi in Latin. Audi's slogan is Vorsprung durch Technik, meaning Being Ahead through Technology. However, Audi USA had used the slogan Truth in Engineering from 2007 to 2016, and have not used the slogan since 2016.[11] Audi, along with fellow German marques BMW and Mercedes-Benz, is among the best-selling luxury automobile brands in the world.[12]

Das Digitale Gründerzentrum der Region Ingolstadt brigk veranstaltete vom 13. bis 14. Mai 2022 das Gründerfestival STROMAUFWÄRTS im Kavalier Dalwigk.
Entrepreneur ist kein Titel oder Beruf, es ist mehr ein Gefühl, eine Geisteshaltung, eine Lebenseinstellung. Entrepreneurship bedeutet: für Neues offen sein, anders sein, einfach mal die Ärmel hochkrempeln und loslegen, Ideen leben, aus Wenig Viel machen – so wie es zahlreiche Gründerinnen und Gründer tagtäglich tun. Für ihre Idee und ihr Unternehmen sind sie bereit auch gegen den Strom –stromaufwärts– zu schwimmen. Mit dem gleichnamigen Gründerfestival STROMAUFWÄRTS hat das brigk dem Gründergeist der Region 10 eine Bühne geboten.
Am Freitag, den 13. Mai 2022 waren sowohl Fachpublikum, Gründerinnen und Gründer als auchGründungsinteressierte vertreten, die neue Impulse für Entrepreneure und die Gründerregion 10 mitnehmen konnten. Nach zwei spannenden Gesprächsrunden im Kreise von Expertinnen und Experten auf diesen Gebieten zu den Themen Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten für Startups und Fördermitteln konnten sich die Teilnehmenden kurz stärken, ehe es mit einem Interview zwischen Franziska von Hardenberg und Manuel Knill zum Thema Markenaufbau & Branding bei Unternehmensgründungen in die zweite Runde ging. Es folgten Sales Hacks für Startups von Michael Oldenburger, eine spannende Podiumsdiskussion rund um das Thema Digitalisierung mit Vortragsredner Sascha Lobo, brigk Geschäftsführer Dr. Franz Glatz und Gründer Lutz Morich. Der Megatrend Digitalisierung – wie sollte es anders sein – war auch im Interview zwischen Marc Erras und der bayerischen Digitalministerin Judith Gerlach das Thema. Neben vielen spannenden Inputs bestand für die Teilnehmenden gleichzeitig die Möglichkeit, Kunden oder Investoren zu finden und sich mit Gleichgesinnten und bestehenden Unternehmen auszutauschen.
Getreu dem Motto „Enter the Entrepreneurship“ bot STROMAUFWÄRTS am Samstag, den 14. Mai 2022 Jedermann und Jederfrau die Möglichkeit in die Gründerszene Ingolstadts einzutauchen. An diesem Tag lockte ein abwechslungsreiches Programm über 500 Besucherinnen und Besucher in das Kavalier Dalwigk. Selbstverständlich gab es auch am Samstag spannende Gesprächsrunden, beispielsweise zum Thema Coworking oder warum die Region 10 zum Gründen einlädt. Neben einer Bibellesung durch Dr. Franz Glatz und der inspirierenden Gründerstory von Thomas Hirsch, gab es für die Besucherinnen und Besucher unter anderem auch ein Gewinnspiel sowie Führungen durch das alte Festungsgebäude. Den offiziellenTeil komplettierte das Interview zwischen Lisa Hümmer und Bundesliga-Trainer Manuel Baum. STOMAUFWÄRTS war die erste und zugleich auch einzigartige Gelegenheit das Kavalier Dalwigk als neues Zuhause der digitalen Startups in Ingolstadt zu besuchen. Am Abend lud die extravagante Beleuchtung des Kavalier Dalwigk sowie die Beats von Tesflour zu einer Party auf der Dachterrasse, die dem Gründerfestival STROMAUFWÄRTS ein gebührender Abschluss war.
Das Digitale Gründerzentrum der Region Ingolstadt blickt zurück auf zwei Tage voller #INFORMATION, #MOTIVATION UND #INSPIRATION. Es wird nicht das letzte Gründerfestival in Ingolstadt gewesen sein.
