PLEASE NOTE: This is an edited version of an earlier video which I've been forced to take down. Other websites were hosting the video and I couldn't stop them.

Ultimate VARANASI Sightseeing Guide | India Travel Vlog

This is a compilation vlog (with cinematic shots) of the top 10 things to do in Varanasi, India. Keep an eye for my Varanasi Street Food Guide coming next week.

I went to Varanasi to find out why this north Indian city is so revered both by Indian pilgrims and foreign tourists. From the famed Ganga ghats to the ruins of Sarnath, from the narrow alleys of the old town to the peaceful environs of BHU- I was there to explore the oldest inhabited city in the world.

Call it Varanasi, Benares or Kashi, this spiritual city is bound to surprise you. It is chaotic. You get so used to the noise that in a momentary absence of it, you start wondering if something is wrong.

But the city has a charm. It is inexpensive, rich in culture, full of ancient temples and takes pride in its unique street food. I went there for 3 days. I stayed for 18. This is Varanasi!

Chaukhandi Tombs Karachi Sindh History in Urdu, Chaukandi Kabristan Graveyard Tareekh

Chaukhandi Tombs Karachi Sindh History in Urdu, Chaukandi Kabirstan Graveyard Tareekh
چوکنڈی قبرستان
On the highway from Karachi to Thatta, about 8 km from Quaidabad, behind Pakistan Steel Mill and its residential colony, Steel Town, behind the Razzaqabad Police Training Center, is the Chokundi Cemetery. The 600-year-old cemetery is home to great personalities who died during the 15th and 18th centuries.

These tombs are attributed to the two tribes Jokhio and Balochs. Since all the tombs here have four corners, this is probably the reason why it is known as Choukandi Cemetery. This stone is still found and used in the same color in Jang Shahi.

Beautiful carvings have been made on the graves of the men. In addition to this, there are also carvings of swordsmanship, horsemanship and swords, daggers, and so on. The tombs of men and women can be easily identified, it is amazing to see how these multi-layered designs could have been made in the days when scientific instruments were not even available, and these designs have been made with such skill that The other layers of the tombs have not been damaged in any way. The sophistication with which these graves have been excavated indicates that many gravediggers would have spent days or months on one tomb.
