It is one of the nation's media, tourism, and business hotspots, and has been listed as one of the most livable cities in the world. This city is a good place to visit any time of the year, and the best time to travel to Düsseldorf is during the summer when you can enjoy the city's rich cultural scene, including its numerous parks and gardens.

THE BEST DAY TRIPS FROM DUSSELDORF, GERMANY
I’ve just come back from travelling around Germany for 10 days and one of my favourite spots was Dusseldorf.
I have to admit I’m not the best at geography sometimes, but when I arrived in the city I quickly discovered there were some great day trips from Dusseldorf, all just a short train ride away.
I’d heard of Cologne, Dortmund and Essen but I never realised they were so close together. That meant as soon as I arrived in Düsseldorf I wanted to explore all North Rhine-Westphalia had to offer. (That’s the name of the region where you’ll find all of these places by the way!)
Throw in some crazy industrial landscapes like Zeche Zollverein and Duisburg Landschaftspark (just wait until you see the photos) and you’ve got the making of a fantastic few days in and around Dusseldorf.

Krefeld, also spelled Crefeld until 1929, is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Krefeld is accessed by the autobahns A57 and the A44.
Krefeld's residents speak Hochdeutsch or standard German, but the native dialect is a Low German variety, sometimes locally called Krefelder Plattdeutsch, Krieewelsch Platt, Plattdeutsch, or sometimes simply Platt. The Uerdingen line isogloss, separating general dialectical areas in Germany and neighboring Germanic-speaking countries, runs through and is named after Krefeld's Uerdingen district, originally an independent municipality.

Der Campingplatz liegt zwar im Herzen von NRW in Kamp-Lintfort, ist jedoch sehr ruhig gelegen. Er ist umgeben von Feldern, Wiesen und Wäldern – Natur pur!
Die Plätze für Kurzzeit-Camper verfügen über einen Wasseranschluss verfügen sowie Abwasser und Stromanschluss (CE-Stecker). Die Plätze sind groß, so dass man auch ein Vorzelt aufbauen könnte. Der Untergrund besteht aus Rasen und Rasengittersteinen und die Plätze sind relativ gerade.
Es gibt 1 Sanitärhaus, welches schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. 3 von 6 Toiletten waren im August geschlossen, sowie 6 von 10 Waschplätzen. Duschen kostet 1 Euro für 4 Minuten. In dem Gebäude befindet sich auch eine Waschmaschine und Trockner sowie 1 Platz zum spülen.
Das Highlight ist der Pool, der sich vor der Einfahrt, neben dem Restaurant „Zum Tonkrug“ befindet. Gerade bei den heißen Temperaturen eine Wohltat und auch nie voll.
Der Platz liegt ca. 5 km von Kamp Lintfort entfernt und bietet jede Menge tolle Rad und Wanderwege.
Hunde sind willkommen. Auf dem Platz stehen überall Hundekot-Mülleimer.
Im August 2022 haben wir für den Platz ca. 26,50 Euro inkl. Hund gezahlt.
Der ideale Platz zum abschalten und entspannen.
