Chợ nông sản ở Sakon Nakhon - Một thành phố nhỏ Đông Bắc Thái có gì đặc biệt? Nơi đây Khoai bắt gặp hàng chục loại đặc sản khác nhau vô cùng khác lạ. Có những món ăn mà ở Việt Nam Khoai chưa bao giờ dám nghĩ có thể làm thức ăn. Bà con trong vùng sẽ mang những sản vật trong vườn nhà có được ra đây bày bán, đôi khu chỉ là nắm rau dại, mớ nấm rừng, hay một giỏ trái cây vừa hái trên cây sau nhà,... nhờ vậy đã tạo nên một khu chợ vô cùng màu sắc. Trong khu chợ nông sản này, chúng ta có thể tìm thấy vô vàn những đặc sản, rau củ quả, trái cây theo mùa với giá cả vô cùng phải chăng. Only available on weekend of Nov-Jan each year.
Ticket prices for the round-trip journey from Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Railway Station to Pa Sak Jolasid Dam are 560 Baht per person (second-class seat in air-conditioned carriages) and 330 Baht per person (third-class seat in regular carriages). The service is also available for group tours who want a private rail wagon.
Train No. 921 departs from Hua Lamphong at 06.00 Hrs. and stops en route at Samsen, Bang Sue, Bang Khen, Lak Si, Don Mueang, and Rangsit Stations and at Ayutthaya, Saraburi, and Kaeng Khoi Junction.
When it reaches Pasak Jolasid Dam, the train will stop for 20 minutes for tourists to enjoy the scenery and take pictures, and will continue to the last station at Khok Salung, where it will stop for 30 minutes for tourists to enjoy shopping for OTOP products.
Then, it will return to the Dam at 10.35 Hrs. for tourists to have leisure time or lunch, or take local transport to visit the nearby sunflower fields.
The return trip No. 926 departs the Dam at 15.30 Hrs. with the same stops en route to arrive back at Hua Lamphong at 18.50 Hrs.

วัดแก่งคอยได้สร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2330 โดยชาวบ้านได้ร่วมใจกันก่อสร้างยกที่ดินให้เป็นที่ธรณีสงฆ์เพื่ออุทิศถวายในบวรพุทธศาสนา ต่อมาชาวบ้านได้พากันเรียกชื่อวัดนี้ว่า วัดแร้งคอย เหตุที่ชื่อเช่นนี้ก็มีที่มาคือ เมื่อถึงยุคสมัยบ้านเมืองมีความเปลี่ยนแปลงชาวบ้านได้มีการก่อร่างสร้างตัวมากขึ้นและได้มีการตัดไม่ทำลายป่าเป็นจำนวนมาก คงเหลืออยู่แต่ไม้ใหญ่ยืนต้นบางส่วน เช่น ต้นยางใหญ่ที่แนวริมตลิ่งแม่น้ำป่าสักทางด้านทิศเหนือของวัดเหลืออยู่ปรากฏให้เห็นประมาณ 4 - 5 ต้น เมื่อความเจริญเข้ามา ป่าไม้ก็ลดน้อยถอยลงเพราะถูกทำลาย ทำให้สัตว์ต่างๆ ต้องย้ายที่อยู่อาศัยไปอยู่ที่อื่น ส่วนนกอีแร้ง อีกา ได้พากันมาอาศัยอยู่ที่ต้นยางใหญ่ ที่เหลืออยู่ในบริเวณริมตลิ่งแม่น้ำป่าสักทางลงแก่งท่าน้ำของวัดเป็นจำนวนนับร้อยๆตัว ทำให้การหาอาหารจำพวกซากสัตว์ที่ตายไม่พอกับความต้องการของอีแร้งอีกา จึงได้พากันจิกตีแย่งกันร่วงหล่นตกลงมาจากยอดยาง ให้พระเณรและประชาชนได้พบเห็นเป็นประจำ และในตอนเย็นอีแร้งเหล่านี้ก็พากันกลับมานอนที่ต้นยางใหญ่แห่งนี้เป็นประจำตลอดมา เมื่อชาวบ้านเห็นเช่นนั้น จึงได้พากันเรียกว่าที่แร้งคอย และได้ขนานนามวัดใหม่ว่า วัดแร้งคอย ในกาลต่อมาทางราชการได้ทำการตั้งชื่อวัดเป็นทางการว่า วัดจมูสโมสร ช่วงประมาณปี พ.ศ. 2487 - 2490 บ้านเมืองเจริญรุ่งเรือง หมู่บ้าน ชุมชนก็มากขึ้น ทางคณะสงฆ์และชาวบ้านมีความเห็นร่วมกัน สมควรที่จะทำการเปลี่ยนชื่อวัดเดิมให้เข้ากับหมู่บ้านและหน่วยราชการ จึงทำการขอเปลี่ยนชื่อ จากวัดจมูสโมสร เป็น วัดแก่งคอย

Wat Pa Sawang Bun (วัดป่าสว่างบุญ) Saraburi, Thailand, Travel Cinematic
Wat Pa Sawang Bun (วัดป่าสว่างบุญ) is located in Tambon Cha-om, Amphoe Kaeng Khoi, Saraburi. It was built in 1985 by Luang Pho Somchai Punyamano on his father's land. The temple covers the area of around 400 rai. Later, in 2005, a number of Buddhists from Saraburi, and all over the country who had faith in Luang Pho Somchai conjointly built a chedi named Phra Maha Ratana Loha Chedi Sisatsana Bodisat Sawangbun for Wat Pa Sawangbun.
Completely constructed in 2007, the chedi was elegantly beautiful. The chief chedi stands in the center, surrounded by smaller chedis on the circular pedestal. Dissimilarly to any other chedis in Thailand, this Chedi has 500 pinnacles, therefore it is called Chedi Ha Roi Yot (or Chedi with 500 pinnacles). Phra Maha Ratana Loha Chedi Srisatsana Bodisat Sawangboon has door facades in all 4 sides. Each facade leads to the chief chedi in the center.
They are all refinedly gilded stucco chedis. Inside the bigger chedi is located a smaller intricately designed chedi in the middle. The wall of the chief chedi was thoroughly adorned with ruby red glass, with pictures of important Phra That Chedis of Thailand embellished on the ceiling. Inside the small chedi is enshrined the Buddha's relics brought from Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka.Apart from Chedi 500 Yot, Wat Pa Sawangbun also houses 84,000 Lord Buddha's relics, Phra Ubosot, stupa-shaped dwellings (similar shape as the stupa built in the holy site of his Nirvana at Kusinagara), Phra Satja Chedi, as well as those Buddha images with outstanding characteristics, and remarkable building materials.
For example, a 10.59 meter stone Buddha statue in Nirvana posture (Thailand's biggest Buddha image that was made from one giant stone ), Phra Puttamahatan Sawangbun in Chiang Saen Nueng style (109 inches width, enshrined in Phra Ubosot), 1 ton carved stone Buddha statue, the imprint of Buddha standing on the hill, and sandstone Buddha image.Inside the temple is a peaceful atmosphere, there is a spacious pavilion for meditation. The rear part of the temple is attached to the foothill, allowing fresh cool breeze to flow through the temple. A lot of Buddhists come here to meditate, especially on the weekends.Transportation: No public transportation can reach Wat Pa Sawangbun directly, visitors must drive their own cars by driving on Saraburi-Nakhon Nayok route.
From Amphoe Kaeng Khoi, it takes around 15 kilometers to Tambon Cha-om. As you reach Tambon Cha-om, turn left onto the path to Namtok Krok E Dok. Go straight around 4 kilometers. Wat Pasawangboon is on the right, with easily noticeable signboard.

Where’s the best place to enjoy street food in Thailand? Locals will often suggest hitting the neighborhood markets for the widest variety.
Night markets in Thailand tend to spill out into the streets and down small alleys (soi’s) so you never really know what to expect or what you will find at any market.
Unlike famous markets in Bangkok, such as the Chatuchak Weekend Market, which attracts swarms of tourists to its 15,000 stalls, smaller markets in the provinces outside of the capital offer a more intimate atmosphere. Fewer shops, friendlier faces and a sense of community where the vendors know all their regulars by name.
Which is why we find ourselves in Saraburi Province. Located about 2 hours north of Bangkok you are well away from the crowds of tourists and busy streets.
Located right next to the Saraburi train station is this wonderful night market. Open daily you can find regional and national Thai dishes. The market stretches along the main road for about 400 meters with tons of food to try.
If you are in the area it’s a must to stop and shop during the cooler evening hours.
