Once upon a time there was a beautiful island with charming and calm beaches, sparking waves flew one after another reminding us the elegance of the nature.

This beautiful island was the home for a once majestic nation. These people were living together in harmony with the nature which provided everything for them. They had beautiful gardens, they had large paddy fields and they had dozens of Cattle and they protected the nature as their own eyes.

Time passed and these people started to change. They became creative to innovate technology to ease their lives. but they lost the love to the nature. They started to cut down trees, spill waste to rivers, dump garbage to the sea, kill animals and they made everything a mess.

Nature could not bear this anymore. So, it started to hurt back. Rain was stopped. Trees and paddy fields could not produce food for people. rivers went dry. Once a calm and quiet sea became rough. nights became longer. darkness grew and deceases killed so many people. People did not get quality air to breath.

One day in a gloomy evening a strange thing happened in one of the beaches. The sea became rough, fishermen couldn’t control their boats. Sun got afraid and went down early. wild animals started shouting and a strange thing was washed up to the beach.

People gathered to the beach.
What was it? People were wondering. Few brave young men tried to reach it. And it was a human fish. It had a long tail like a fish. It had hands and a face like a human. It was a Mermaid.
This Mermaid was washed up to the beach half dead, strangled with garbage. Sick living in the toxic water and she was hardly breathing. young brave men helped to release her from strangled garbage. She slowly dragged herself back to the sea. before she swims away, she gave this message to the people of that island.
“Every second breath you take comes from the ocean. Ocean is mother who gives the life to the whole world”

People were sad, people were guilty. People realized that they should protect oceans and mother nature. They got the message very clearly. They wrote about this incident in their diaries. They kept this day memorized deep in their hearts.

And they stopped hurting the oceans and nature. They stopped dumping garbage everywhere. They stopped using toxic chemicals. They stopped killing too many animals. They cleaned the beaches. And then the nature responded back. It cleared skies, it gave rain to the people and rivers started flowing. flowers bloomed, fruits got ripen. Sea became calm.

This day ( 8th June ) was later named as “World Oceans Day”.

2. Angkor Wat Temple, Cambodia: The Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia is the largest temple in the world where Vishnu is realized. The temple was built on the banks of the Mekong River and is visited by millions of people every year. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, the abode of the gods in Hindu and Buddhist cosmology. Angkor Wat Temple is one of the great cultural wonders of the world with over a thousand buildings spread over an area of about 400 acres.

3. Annamalai Temple, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu: The Annamalai Temple in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu is a sacred Hindu shrine spread over an area of over one lakh square meters at the foot of the Annamalai Hills. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is associated with the Pancha Bhuta places. In this temple, Lord Shiva appears in the form of a lingam and is known as Annamalaiyar or Arunachaleshwar. The element of fire is especially revered here and the symbol of Shiva is referred to as the fire lingam. He is accompanied by his wife Parvati Devi, who is revered as Unnamulai Amman. It is one of the largest Hindu temples in India.

4. Belur Math, West Bengal: Swami Vivekananda, the chief disciple of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in Bengal, built the Belur Math on the banks of the Hooghly River. It is spread over 40 acres. It engages us with the sculptures that are on it.

5. Brihadishwarar Temple, Thanjavur: The Brihadishwarar Temple in Thanjavur dates back to the 11th century. This is the first temple of a similar shape. It was built with granite rocks. There are differences as to what and how many of these Shakti Peethas are. There are different calculations of 18, 51, 52, and 108. However, the 18 main Shakti Peethas are called Ashtadasha Shakti Peethas. According to our mythology, the body of Sati Devi fell into 18 pieces and fell in 18 places, which are called Ashtadasha Shakti Peethas. These Shakti Peethas are located in three countries, including India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. One of them is in Kashmir and the other is in Sri Lanka. The other 16 Shakti Peethas are in India.

3. Chains - Pradyumna city
It is about 80 km from Kolkata. Pradyumna is the place where the mother's abdomen fell. This chain goddess is worshiped there as Chotillamata. Gangasagar, located at a distance of 135 km from Kolkata, is also said to be a Shakti Peetha. The town is located at a distance of 66 km from Howrah Railway Station.

4. Chamundi - Krauncha town
Chamundi Temple is located in the Chamundi Mountains in Mysore, Karnataka. Legend has it that in this place, the goddess Kurulu Udi fell on the mountains.

5. Jogulamba-Alampur
The Jogulamba Shakti Peetha is the first of the four Shakti Peethas in the state of Telangana. It is located in Alampur, Telangana. Here Sati Devi is said to have fallen on the upper teeth and jaw part.

6. Bhramarambika - Srisailam
Srisailam is the place where the neck of Goddess Sati fell. It is located in Andhra Pradesh. Due to the presence of the twelfth Jyotirlinga shrine of Lord Shiva here, it is believed that there is no reincarnation if one visits this place.

7. Mahalakshmi - Kolhapur
Adi Parasakthi was born as 'Ambabai' in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. It is said that the eyes of Goddess Sati fell here.

8. Monogamy - sweetness
Ekaveerika Devi is worshiped at the Mahur Temple near Nanded, Maharashtra.

9. Mahankali - Ujjain
According to Devi Bhagavatam, Sati Devi was bitten on the lip in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Here it is known that this mother is protecting this city in the form of Mahakali.

10.Puruhutika - Pithapuram
Puruhutika Shrine is located in Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh. The name Pithapuram is derived from the fact that this is the place where Goddess Sati Peetha fell.

11. Tribal - Odisha
Girijadevi was born in Jajpur, Odisha. It is believed that the navel of the mother fell here.

12. Manikyamba-Grapevine
The left cheek of Sati Devi fell on a vineyard in Andhra Pradesh. This village, also known as Dakshavatika, is one of the Pancharamakshetras.

13. Kamarupa- Guwahati
According to a local legend, Goddess Sati fell on the blue mountain peak in Guwahati, the capital of Assam.

14. Madhaveshwari -Prayag
The fingers of the mother's right hand are said to have fallen in Prayaga, Uttar Pradesh. Here Sati Devi is measured as Alopidevi. There is no idol in this temple. The pedestal is equal in all four directions.

15. Vaishnavism - Jwalakshetra
Located in Himachal Pradesh, this temple does not have an idol of Goddess. The seven flames are constantly burning.

16. Mangala Gauri - Gaya
Goddess Sati is said to have had breasts in the Gaya area of Bihar. This mother is Mangalagauri Devi. Devotees worship Mangalyagauri, a structure resembling boobs, as per the local mythology.

17.Vishalakshi - Varanasi
Legend has it that Sati Devi Manikarnika (part of the ear) fell in Varanasi.

18. Saraswati - Jammu and Kashmir
Amma is also known as Keer Bhavani. Saraswati Devi Temple is located at a distance of 150 km from Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (reigned 1628–1658), to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

Construction of the mausoleum was essentially completed in 1643 but work continued on other phases of the project for another 10 years. The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 for being the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage. Described by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore as the tear-drop on the cheek of time, it is regarded by many as the best example of Mughal architecture and a symbol of India's rich history. The Taj Mahal attracts 7–8 million visitors a year.

Inside the Taj Mahal, the cenotaphs honoring Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan are enclosed in an eight-sided chamber ornamented with pietra dura (an inlay with semi-precious stones) and a marble lattice screen. But the gorgeous monuments are just for show: The real sarcophagi are in a quiet room below, at garden level.

Narayan Sarovar, one of the holiest lakes of Hindus, is sacred to Lord Narayan, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Located 100 km away from Bhuj, the lake is an agglomeration of five lakes (collectively called Panch-Sarovar; Mansarovar, Bindu Sarovar, Narayan Sarovar, Pampa Sarovar and Pushkar Sarovar) and is considered a sacred pilgrimage destination for the orthodox Hindu

about koteshwar Temple:

The story of Koteshwar begins with Ravana, who won a boon from Lord Shiva for an outstanding display of piety. This boon was the gift of a Shiva linga of great spiritual power, but which Ravana, in his arrogant haste, accidentally dropped and it fell to earth at Koteshwar. To punish Ravana for his carelessness, the linga turned into a thousand identical copies (some versions of the story say ten thousand, some a million; suffice to say it was quite a lot.) Unable to distinguish the original, Ravana grabbed one and departed, leaving the original one here, around which Koteshwar Temple was built.

Visitors can see the temple, walk along the beach and on a clear night, even see the glow of light from Karachi, Pakistan, on the northwestern horizon.

I even started making these dishes for my family back in #India!

I ate every morning at Qoeta (sic) Khan Cafe, located in a lane at the beginning of Mall Road. The nearest Maps location is New Lahore Restaurant Qoeta Khan Cafe 5 or so stores down from there.

Skardu is a town in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, and serves as the capital of Skardu District. Skardu is located in the 10 kilometres (6 miles) wide by 40 kilometres (25 miles) long Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers at an altitude of nearly 2,500 metres. The town is considered a gateway to the eight-thousanders of the nearby Karakoram Mountain range. The town is located on the Indus river, which separates the Karakoram Range from the Himalayas.
