जालौन उत्तर प्रदेश में स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक जिला है , जो मुख्य रूप से अपने ऐतिहासिक और धार्मिक स्मारकों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। , इस जगह ने ऐतिहासिक रूप से कई उतार-चढ़ाव देखे हैं, जिनके पीछे एक इतिहास है। एक बहुत प्रसिद्ध ऋषि जलवान थे, जिनके नाम पर इस जिले का नाम जालौन पड़ा। इसी जिले में ‘आल्हा उदल’ के मामा भी रहते थे। जिसे “माहिल की नगरी” उरई कहा जाता है।उरई जालौन का सबसे बड़ा शहर और मुख्यालय है , यहां पर प्रसिद्ध माहिल का तालाब भी स्थित है। कालपी इस जिले का सबसे बड़ा और सबसे पुराना शहर है। इस शहर का उल्लेख महापुरादो में मिलता यह स्थान महृषि वेद व्यास का जन्मस्थान है । उन्होंने महाभारतपौराणिक ग्रन्थ लिखा था।

MAHANT GHASIDAS MEMORIAL MUSEUM RAIPUR CHHATTISGARH I महंत घासीदास स्मारक संग्रहालय रायपुर छत्तीसगढ़
महंत घासीदास स्मारक संग्रहालय भारत में छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य की राजधानी रायपुर में स्थित है। यह एक पुरातात्विक संग्रहालय है। यह संग्रहालय लगभग 2 हेक्टेयर की विशाल भूमि पर फैला है। इसे 1875 में राजा महंत घासीदास ने बनवाया था। वर्ष 1953 में रानी ज्योति देवी और उनके पुत्र दिग्विजय ने इस भवन का पुनर्निर्माण करवाया था, इसके लिए उन्होंने 1 लाख 50 हजार रुपये और महंत सर्वेश्वरदास की स्मृति में बनाई गई लाइब्रेरी के लिए 50 हजार रुपये की अतिरिक्त राशि दान दिया था । सन 1953 को इस संग्रहालय भवन का लोकार्पण गणतंत्र भारत के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति डॉ. राजेन्द्र प्रसाद के कर कमलों द्वारा किया गया। इस संग्रहालय में वर्तमान में कुल 17279 पुरावशेष एवं कलात्मक सामग्रियां हैं, जिनमें 4324 सामग्रियां गैरपुरावशेष हैं तथा शेष 12955 पुरावशेष हैं। इस संग्रहालय में तीन मंजिल हैं, भूतल पर आपको फोटो गैलरी, सिरपुर गैलरी, मूर्तिकला गैलरी और शिलालेख गैलरी देखने को मिलेगी। पहली मंजिल पर आपको प्राकृतिक इतिहास/वन्यजीव और हथियारों की गैलरी मिलेगी। दूसरी मंजिल पर आपको छत्तीसगढ़ के विभिन्न नृत्य और आदिवासी कला दीर्घा देखने को मिलेगी।
Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum is located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh in India. This is an archaeological museum. The museum is spread over a vast land of about 2 hectares. It was built in 1875 by Raja Mahant Ghasidas. In 1953, Rani Jyoti Devi and her son Digvijay got this building reconstructed, for which they donated Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand and an additional amount of Rs 50 thousand for the library built in memory of Mahant Sarveshwardas. In 1953, this museum building was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of the Republic of India. There are a total of 17279 antiquities and artistic materials in this museum, out of which 4324 materials are non-antiquities and the remaining 12955 are antiquities. There are three floors in this museum, on the ground floor you will find Photo Gallery, Sirpur Gallery, Sculpture Gallery and Inscription Gallery. On the first floor, you will find the natural history/wildlife and weapons galleries. On the second floor, you will find various dance and tribal art gallery of Chhattisgarh.
