Villingen-Schwenningen is a city located in Germany in the southwest of the Land of Baden-Württemberg. With around 81,000 inhabitants, the municipality is the largest in the Black Forest-Baar district.
The particularity of the city lies in the fact that it consists of two entities corresponding to two formerly independent towns, namely Villingen and Schwenningen. The two former municipalities merged in 1972 to become Villingen-Schwenningen. Another particularity is geographical: between the two old towns less than 5 kilometers apart, runs along a north-south axis the watershed between the North Sea (to the north) and the Black Sea (to the east).

This video has it all--from celebrating Tanner's birthday by RIDING A TOBOGGAN (yes it deserves all caps because it was freaking awesome!!), hiking to the most beautiful lake, exploring the famous Triberg waterfalls, & exploring all the many cities in between, we definitely fell in love with Germany's Black Forest region! Not to mention, hiking amongst tall trees reminded us of home. :)

Sankt Georgen im Schwarzwald is a town in Southwestern Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The town lies at an altitude of 800 to 1000 meters above sea level. The largest part of the municipality, almost 60 km2, consists of forest and fields.
The charming landscape in combination with a variety of exciting destinations in the vicinity make St. Georgen a popular destination for a holiday in the Black Forest (German: Schwarzwald). It has numerous guesthouses and farms with holiday apartments. The mountain town of St. Georgen is not called the sunny mountain town for nothing. While the valleys disappear under a thick blanket of fog, St. Georgen often has bright sunshine.

Danach gehen wir zum Albert Schweitzer Haus und über die Luisenstraße bzw. Mönchweilerstraße vor bis zum Ortseingang in Richtung Villingen-Schwenningen.

Triberg im Schwarzwald is a town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, located in the Schwarzwald-Baar district in the Black Forest. In 2004, it had a population of 5,377. Triberg lies in the middle of the Black Forest between 500 and 1038 metres above sea level.
The Triberg Waterfalls, a series of waterfalls in the Gutach River, are among the tallest in Germany. With a total vertical drop of 151m (496 feet), the falls are shorter than the tallest waterfall in Germany, the Röthbachfall. However, the Triberg Falls are better known and have easier public access.
Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft Triberg, a regional utility, was founded 1896 by Friedrich Wilhelm Schoen, Wilhelm Eduard von Schoen and the famous industrialist and inventor Carl von Linde. It is still active today and partially owned by local municipalities. Watchmaking was once a thriving local industry, but no longer plays a central role in the economy. A private hospital, Asklepios Klinik, is the town's major employer. The number of inhabitants decreased from 8,000 to 5,000
Elzach im Schwarzwald
Die Stadt Elzach mitten im Elztal im Breisgau im Landkreis Emmendingen zählt nicht gerade zu den touristischen Hochburgen des Schwarzwaldes. Dabei hat sie einiges zu bieten. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten erschließen sich dem Besucher allerdings erst vor Ort und dann auch noch zu Fuß. Um die Mentalität, die zahllosen Schönheiten und die Landschaft zu verstehen, lohnt ein Blick in die Geschichte.
