The Most Unique Humans on Earth!!! (Omo Valley)

I have spent the last 3 days in the Omo Valley of South Western Ethiopia and it is wild! This is one of the most remote and undiscovered inhabited places in the world. You will not believe what I just experienced.

The Omo Valley is home to 10 distinct ethnic tribes, all living within the same land. Their traditions and rituals have been passed down for thousands and thousands of years, and it was a very special experience to be able to witness it first hand.

If you've been watching my videos for some time, then you know that I always try to dig deep into local cultures to observe unique lifestyles. Because meeting people and learning about how they survive is my favorite part about traveling. With that being said, I think I have just reached my climax of finding hidden cultures here in the Omo Valley, Ethiopia.

Have you ever heard of the Omo Valley, Ethiopia? Or been here before?

Where to stay in Jinka when visiting Omo Valley tribes in Ethipia

In order to start the Oma Valley tour, in southern part of Ethiopia you will start in a town called Jinka. This town does not have decent hotels nor restaurants, my recommendation is try to bypass this town and not to stay overnight. You can see five tribes in two nights snd three days. If your tour guide is trying to convince you to a stretch the tour don’t listen to them because they want to make more money by stretching and adding more days. Staying longer you will suffer because the accommodations in this part of Ethiopia are horrible. When you arrive in Jinka start your tour right away and leave this horrible town, the last day when you are back in Jinka, you can see Mursi tribe which is close to this town and then go to the airport right away and leave this town as soon as possible.

Ethiopia and the Omo Valley Experience - Raw Unseen Last Remaining Tribes

Ethiopia's South Omo Valley is without a doubt one of the most culturally rich and diverse tribal regions in Africa. Through this video you'll get a chance to see what it was like to be immersed in their culture, daily lives, and rituals. It's a raw experience that you really won't find anywhere else.

From the tribes of Hamar, Mursi, Kara, Dassenech, Ari, and Nyangatom you quickly realize that these are people that have been shielded from the modernization of the world. It's true that tourism and development projects has started to change the region. Everything that you see, smell, touch and breathe is like being invited into a living museum. Think of a trip like this as a human safari of sorts - read more in the blog post below to understand what the experience is like and my thoughts having gone through it.

WILD Road Trip thru Rural Ethiopia to See this AMAZING Tribe - ????????

I was warned not to visit the Mursi Tribe of the Lower Omo Valley in Southern Ethiopia. But we had to see it for ourselves. This #travelvlog footage covers my trip from Jinka, #Ethiopia to the #Mursi #tribe of the Lower Omo Valley, and provides a foreshadowing around my #travels to one of the most isolated places in Africa. These are a few of the clips of my time with this very #dangerous tribe, but also provides a brief #overview of who they are and how they live in the gorgeous #Ethiopian #countryside.

This #roadtrip took us many hours to complete, leaving total #civilization before #venturing hundreds of miles into the #AfricanBush, deep into the #LowerOmoValley to visit the Mursi. We were repeatedly #warned that the Mursi were at #war with neighboring #tribes, and that we should not go. But we could not turn back now.

Ethiopia/Jinka/ Ari Village Part 1/63

Welcome to my travelchannel. On my channel you can find almost 1000 films of more than 70 countries. See the playlist on my youtube channel.Enjoy!

Ari Tribe:
The Ari people inhabit the northern part of the Mago National Park in Ethiopia and have the largest territory of all the tribes in the area. They have fertile lands allowing them to have several types of plantations. An Ari's crop can consist of grains, coffee, fruits and honey. It's also common for them to have large herds of livestock.Their women are known for selling pottery and wearing skirts made from banana trees called enset. Tribe members wear a lot of jewellery and have many piercings in their ears. They wrap beads and bracelets around their arms and waist for decoration. The Ari are known to paint and scar their bodies as part of their culture. You can find some of the Ari people visiting the market in Key Afer.

REAL & AUTHENTIC Ethiopian COFFEE CEREMONY ???????? - Ethiopia Travel Vlog (Day 2)

►►Please consider subscribing to this channel. I have many more unique videos to come!◄◄

This #travelvlog footage is Day 2 of my trip to Jinka, Ethiopia, where we visited Ben's friends who invited us to a traditional #coffeeceremony. There she sat us down and showed us how to make Ethiopian coffee.

During my travel to Ethiopia, I learned it is the woman of the house who performs the two- to three-hour coffee ceremony, sometimes three times each day (once in the morning, once at noon, and once in the evening). It is also customary for women to perform the ceremony when welcoming visitors into the home and in times of celebration.

The #coffee #ceremony is considered to be the most important social occasion in many villages, and it is a major sign of #respect and #friendship to be invited to a coffee ceremony. Guests at a ceremony may discuss topics such as #politics, #community, or other #gossip. It has been written that there should also be abundant praise for the ceremony’s performer and the brews she produces.

Beyond pure socialization, the coffee ceremony also plays a spiritual role in Ethiopia, particularly one that pays homage to the coffee bean and its parent plant that has grown in #Abyssinia for thousands of years.

Coffee ties all #Ethiopians together, despite #ethnic differences that has sometimes resulted in violent clashes in its history. In Ethiopia, and for Ethiopians, coffee culture is as deep and complex as the country's historical politics. It's also spectacularly #delicious.
