Foreign tourists are rare, but Quanzhou is a hidden gem. And I have enough reasons to say that. As the birth place of Fujianese culture and the first Chinese trade ports that opened up to the outside world Quanzhou is the place to find a huge diversity in Fujian Province:

Quanzhou, alternatively known as Chinchew, is a prefecture-level port city on the north bank of the Jin River, beside the Taiwan Strait in Fujian Province, People's Republic of China.
