Discover the diversity of the small country Israel. Israel is not only diverse in his culture, where Muslims, Christs and Jews live peacefully together, but also in his nature.
We start our video with a map of Israel and the places you will see. Followed by the historic, old city of Jerusalem, the Wailing Wall with temple and the magnificent Tower of David light festival. Next, we visit the beautiful Sea of Galilea with the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus is believed to have delivered the Sermon on the Mount, followed by the Golan Heights and Merom Golan. Of course, you will see the beautiful Bahá'í Gardens, historic Akkon, beaches in Tel Aviv, but also Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus and the surrounded wall nowadays.
We travel to the Dead Sea, where the water is ten times as salty as in the ocean and where you get the perfect floating experience. Don't miss out the fortification of Masada. Masada is an ancient fortress in the south of Israel, where at 73CE the Jewish fled to the fortress from the Romans. The fortification is located on the top of a rock plateau at the Judaean Desert and you have beautiful view of the Dead Sea.

Historically it is linked to the biblical stories of Jonah and the whale, Solomon and Saint Peter as well as to the Greek mythology of Andromeda and Perseus.
In 1950 Jaffa and the neighboring Tel Aviv were merged into a single municipality called Tel Aviv-Yafo. However the ancient port city with its narrow alleys and ancient buildings is worlds away from the modern metropolis of Tel Aviv. The medieval mediterranean atmosphere of Old Jaffa is magical.
Today the city is home to a vibrant community of Muslims, Christians and Jews.

Jaffa is the ancient port city out of which Tel Aviv has now grown. In recent years, like much of South Tel Aviv, this area has been regenerated. The old narrow streets and courtyards are now another highly desirable part of Tel Aviv's urban tapestry.
The history of Jaffa is a long one. As of the world's oldest ports, this is thought to have been the port from which Jonah left in the story of the whale! The port continued to be important through history and served as the main entry point to the land of Israel through until the late 19th century.
According to Catholic tradition, St. Peter's Church in Jaffa stands on the site of The House of Simon the Tanner, with whom Peter stayed while in Jaffa, where the miracle of the dream was revealed to him: Peter's vision of a sheet with animals.

With David Hyman, Israeli professional tour guide. Join us on our walking tour through the wonders and stories of Old Jaffa as we explore the many hidden gems of this city. Up until 1948, Jaffa and Tel Aviv were two separate neighboring cities, only 5 KM apart. The two towns merged and are now referred to as Tel Aviv - Yafo. But out of the two, the city with 4000 years of history is the one that had the port and the hill - Jaffa. First settled during the 18th century BCE and has continuously been inhabited since. Jaffa owes its fame to its port, and because it's the closes port that can serve Jerusalem. For generation Jaffa port was the entrance gate to the land of Israel and was only replaced by Haifa port in the early 20th century. Our tour today will take us to the highlights of this great town. The port, the sea mosque, the clock tower, the flea market, the art galleries, the statue of faith, the wishing bridge, and the church of St Peter.
