About Nyköping from Wiki:
Nyköping directly translates to Newmarket into English. The prefix Ny is translated as New and köping is an old Swedish word for a market place and a commonly used suffix for cities in the south central region of the country (see Köping). The city is located near the open Baltic Sea on the Stadsfjärden inlet, and is regarded as a coastal location. Rivers Nyköpingsån and Kilaån reach the Baltic Sea through the southern end of downtown. The former river splits the town down the middle into an eastern and western part. There are multiple other inlets in the municipality, which has an extensive shoreline.
Typical of the region, the landscape is influenced by post-glacial rebound after the latest ice age. For thousands of years, the land of downtown Nyköping was an archipelago where the hills in town today formed many islands, while the flatter parts of the town were the seafloor.
In 1317 the Nyköping Banquet took place, a renowned episode in Sweden's history, when King Birger of Sweden captured his two brothers as revenge for earlier sufferings and had them imprisoned without food until they starved to death. (See Nyköpings gästabud.)
In the 16th century Nyköping became the seat of Duke Charles, who later became Charles IX of Sweden. With the status of a Royal residential seat, Nyköping was at its peak of development.

In 1665 large parts of the city including the fortress were damaged in a fire. The same thing happened again in 1719 when Russian troops invaded the city. It was then rebuilt with its current street plan.
Nyköping was industrialized relatively early compared to the rest of Sweden. In the early 19th century, textile industry was established, and the population soon rose as Nyköping's industry grew. In 1879, C.A. Wedholms mejerikärlsfabrik was founded, starting to produce milk churns. Wedholms still has activity in Nyköping and is a milk cooling tank manufacturer.

Stureplan is a public square in central Stockholm, between Norrmalm and Östermalm.The square connects the major streets Kungsgatan, Birger Jarlsgatan and Sturegatan. The buildings around the square house offices of banks and other financial institutions, as well as several corporate headquarters.
Some of the country's most famous and expensive restaurants and bars are located in the area around Stureplan.Some examples are Sturehof, Spy Bar, Riche, Laroy, Hell's Kitchen, East and Sturecompagniet. Shops in the area include Versace, Hugo Boss, Gucci, and LV.

Drottninggatan (Queen Street) in Stockholm, Sweden, is a major pedestrian street. It stretches north from the bridge Riksbron at Norrström, in the district of Norrmalm, to Observatorielunden in the district of Vasastaden.
Forming a parallel street to Vasagatan and Sveavägen, Drottninggatan is intersected by (south to north) Fredsgatan, Jakobsgatan, Herkulesgatan, Vattugatan, Klarabergsgatan, Mäster Samuelsgatan, Bryggargatan, Gamla Brogatan, Kungsgatan, Apelbergsgatan, Olof Palmes Gata, Barnhusgatan, Adolf Fredriks Kyrkogata, Wallingatan, Kammakargatan, Tegnérgatan, Rådmansgatan, Kungstensgatan and Observatoriegatan.
The major part of the street is car-free and lined with numerous stores and shops, one of the largest being the Åhléns City department store. During summer, the street is often crowded with tourists.

We flew from Denmak to Sweden in a glider. Landed in Dala-Jarna and went to the town to get some pizza. Then we sit at the bank of this very nice river. Notice very smooth waves that most probably coming from the underwater stones. Similar waves happen in the air when strong winds blow in the mountains.

One unique feature of the mines is Blue Cave, which is not a natural cave, but an abandoned mine that has been restored and made open to visitors.
As a regular tourist to the world, I used Google to find a new place to visit. After seeing all the recommendations, I found this mysterious-looking place called The Blue Cave. The place was located in Klackberg, Sweden.
I was armed with my camera and ready for anything. As I walk through the old, abandoned mines of Klackberg, I can't help but feel excited. These mines were the birthplace of modern mining technology - and now, I get to see it all firsthand!
I learned about the ancient wood-burning techniques, used to break apart the rocks. It's amazing to think that this was once state-of-the-art technology. Truly a sight to behold.
It's clear that these mines were once a bustling center of activity. But now, it's just me and the ghosts of the past. Still, I can't help but feel thrilled by being here - in the heart of mining history.

Tamaskan on trail - Hiking Sörmlandsleden from Järna to Mölnbo
Our original plan was to hike all the way to Gnesta from Järna. However, hiking with a dog turns out to be a lot slower than hiking just the two of us to plans changed and we went to Mölnbo instead. Still, a great hike and a nice kick-off for spring here in Sweden!

I started at Stockholm's finest playground for children , Mullemeck parken which is located in Solna. There i walked through the neighbourhood towards Ulriksdal station.
Mulle Meckparken is a theme playground in Järvastaden in Solna municipality. The park was created under the direction of the artist Tor Svae and is named after the children's book character Mulle Meck. It was inaugurated in the autumn of 2008 and in 2010 it was awarded the Solna City Environment Prize.

Hiking 70 km on Sörmlandsleden | 4 days hiking trip
In this adventure, I hiked 8 sections of Sörmlandsleden on Easter. Sörmlandsleden is a hiking trail which is around 1000 kilometres long and divided over 100 sections. The sections that I hiked were quite close to Stockholm. Here you can find the sections below:

1 CLASS TRAIN IN SWEDEN 2023 | SJ 3000 (X55)
It's time to test 1 class on SJ 3000 again, which is one of the train operator SJ's high-speed trains. The train is a Bombardier Regina Intercity. In 2008, SJ ordered a special version intended for long-distance routes in Sweden and the first train was put into service in February 2012, two years late.
The train was developed in Sweden and built in Germany during the years 2010-2013. It has been named X55 and SJ markets the train as SJ 3000. It goes by the collective name SJ Snabbtåg (SJ High-speed Train) together with X 2000 (X2).
On this morning departure I travel in 1st class and the train departs Östersund Central Station at 06:04. Arrival in Stockholm is 10:58.
I'm sitting in car 1 and seat 38, opposite the direction of travel. In 1st class breakfast is included on all departures with SJ Snabbtåg before 9 in the morning and it's served at the seat. In 1st class there is also free coffee, tea, water, fruit and sweets in a small kitchenette which is available throughout the trip.
1 class on SJ Snabbtåg can be bought from EUR 29 up to EUR 160. The price depends on when you book, how popular the departure is, time of day and so on. A morning departure for EUR 29 is a bargain!
