जूनागढ़ किला (Junagarh Fort) :-- भारत के राजस्थान राज्य के बीकानेर शहर में है । इस किले को वास्तव में चिंतामणि किले और बीकानेर किले - Bikaner Fort के नाम से जाना जाता है और 20 वी शताब्दी के प्रारंभ में इसका नाम बदलकर जूनागढ़ रखा गया था क्योकि 20 वी शताब्दी में किले में रहने वाला परिवार लालगढ़ महल में स्थानांतरित हुआ था । यह किला राजस्थान के उन प्रमुख किलो में शामिल है जो पहाड़ की ऊंचाई पर नही बने है । वर्तमान बीकानेर शहर किले के आस - पास ही विकसित हुआ है । किले का निर्माण बीकानेर के शासक राजा राय सिंह के प्रधान मंत्री करण चंद की निगरानी में किया गया था , राजा राय सिंह ने 1571 से 1611 AD के बीच बीकानेर पर शासन किया था । किले की दीवारों और खाई का निर्माणकार्य 1589 में शुरू हुआ था और 1594 में पूरा हुआ था ।

Kumbhalgarh (literally meaning Kumbhal fort), also called the Great Wall of India, is a well known Mewar fortress located on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, at about 48 km from Rajsamand city in the Rajsamand district of the Indian State of Rajasthan. It is situated about 84 km from Udaipur and is a World Heritage Site which is included in Hill Forts of Rajasthan. It was made during the 15th century by Maharana Kumbha.
In the year 2013, at the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee which was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Kumbhalgarh Fort, as well as five other forts of Rajasthan, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site that lies under the group Hill Forts of Rajasthan. The chief architect of this fort who actually designed this fort was Mandan, who also documented his style of work in his text, known as Rajvallabh. The fort is known to be among the world's largest fort complexes.
Kumbhalgarh fort's early could not be ascertained as there is lack of evidence. Before Rana Kumbha actually built the new fort, there used to be a small fort here, which was limited to small hilly area, and it is believed to have been built by King Samprati of the Maurya dynasty. Rana Lakha won this complete area and plains of Godwar from Chauhan Rajputs of Nadol in late 14th century.
Kumbhalgarh, as we see this fort it was made by Rana Kumbha who was the maharana of Mewar from the Sisodia rajput clan. Maharana Kumbha took help of famous architect of that era, Mandan. Rana Kumbha's kingdom of Mewar started from Ranthambore to Gwalior and it included a huge number of tracts of what is now MP and Rajasthan. Out of the 84 forts in Rana Kumbha's dominion, he built 32 of them, of which Kumbhalgarh is known to be the biggest and most elaborate.
Kumbhalgarh separated Mewar and Marwar from each other and in those times it was used as a refuge place for the rulers of Mewar in the times of danger. A very notable instance was in the case of Prince Udai, when the infant king of Mewar was smuggled here in the year 1535, when Chittor was under siege. Prince Udai later succeeded to the throne and also built Udaipur city.
Ahmed Shah I of Gujarat later attacked the fort in 1457, but he was unsuccessful. There were further attempts to capture the fort in 1458–59 and 1467 by Mahmud Khalji, but it was also not successful. Akbar's general, Shahbaz Khan later attacked this fort in October 1577 and after the long siege of 6 months, he captured the fort in April 1577. But later it was recaptured by Maharana Pratap in 1578. In the year 1818, an armed band of sanyasis formed a garrison in order to protect the fort, but was convinced[clarification needed] by James Tod and the Kumbhalgarh fort was then taken over by the British and later it was returned to Udaipur State. There were a few additions made by Maharanas of Mewar, but the original structure which was built by Maharana Kumbha still remains. The residential buildings as well as temples are well-preserved. The fort is also known to be the Maharana Pratap's birth place.

ग्वालियर किले के निर्माण की सही अवधि अनिश्चित है। एक स्थानीय किंवदंती के अनुसार, किले का निर्माण 3 ई. में सूरज सेन नामक एक स्थानीय राजा ने करवाया था। वह कुष्ठ से ठीक हो गया था, जब ग्वालीपा नाम के एक ऋषि ने उसे एक पवित्र तालाब से पानी की पेशकश की, जो अब किले के भीतर स्थित है। कृतज्ञ राजा ने एक किले का निर्माण किया, और इसका नाम ऋषि के नाम पर रखा। ऋषि ने राजा को पाल (रक्षक) की उपाधि दी, और उनसे कहा कि जब तक वे इस उपाधि को धारण करेंगे, किला उनके परिवार के कब्जे में रहेगा। सूरज सेन पाल के 83 वंशजों ने किले को नियंत्रित किया, लेकिन तेज करण नाम के 84वें ने इसे खो दिया।
अब जो किला परिसर है उसके भीतर पाए गए शिलालेख और स्मारकों से संकेत मिलता है कि यह 6 ठी शताब्दी की शुरुआत के रूप में अस्तित्व में था। एक ग्वालियर शिलालेख एक सूर्य मंदिर के शासनकाल के दौरान बनाया का वर्णन करता है Huna सम्राट मिहिरकुल 6 वीं शताब्दी में। तेली का मंदिर , अब किले के भीतर स्थित है, द्वारा बनाया गया था गुर्जर-प्रतिहार 9 वीं शताब्दी में।

1398 में, किला तोमरों के नियंत्रण में आ गया । तोमर शासकों में सबसे प्रतिष्ठित मान सिंह थे , जिन्होंने किले के भीतर कई स्मारकों का निर्माण किया था। दिल्ली सुल्तान सिकंदर लोदी 1505 में किले पर कब्जा करने की कोशिश की, लेकिन असफल रहा था। 1516 में उनके बेटे इब्राहिम लोदी द्वारा एक और हमले के परिणामस्वरूप मान सिंह की मृत्यु हो गई। तोमरों ने अंततः एक साल की घेराबंदी के बाद किले को दिल्ली सल्तनत को सौंप दिया ।
एक दशक के भीतर, मुगल सम्राट बाबर ने दिल्ली सल्तनत से किले पर कब्जा कर लिया । मुगलों किले के लिए खो दिया शेरशाह सूरी 1542 में बाद में, किले पर कब्जा कर लिया गया था और के द्वारा प्रयोग किया हेमू , हिंदू , पिछले आम और, बाद में हिन्दू के शासक दिल्ली , उनके कई अभियानों के लिए अपने आधार के रूप में है, लेकिन बाबर के पोते अकबर पुनः कब्जा यह 1558 में। अकबर ने किले को राजनीतिक बंदियों के लिए जेल बना दिया। उदाहरण के लिए, कामरान के बेटे अबुल-कासिम और अकबर के पहले चचेरे भाई को किले में पकड़कर मार डाला गया था। ग्वालियर के अंतिम तोमर राजा,महाराजा रामशाह तंवर , जिन्होंने तब मेवाड़ में शरण ली थी और हल्दीघाटी की लड़ाई में लड़े थे । वह अपने तीन पुत्रों (जिसमें शालिवाहन सिंह तोमर , उत्तराधिकारी भी शामिल थे) के साथ युद्ध में शहीद हो गए थे।
औरंगजेब के भाई, मुराद बख्श और भतीजे सुलेमान शिकोह को भी किले में मार दिया गया था। हत्याएं मान मंदिर पैलेस में हुईं। सिपिहर शिकोह को 1659 से 1675 तक ग्वालियर किले में कैद किया गया था। औरंगजेब के बेटे, मुहम्मद सुल्तान को जनवरी 1661 से दिसंबर 1672 तक किले में कैद किया गया था । औरंगजेब की मृत्यु के बाद, गोहद के राणा सरदारों ने ग्वालियर किले पर कब्जा कर लिया था। मराठों कई गिरावट द्वारा आयोजित प्रदेशों कब्जा कर लिया था मुगल साम्राज्य औरंगजेब की मृत्यु के बाद उत्तरी और मध्य भारत में। उत्तर भारत में मराठा घुसपैठ पेशवा बाजीराव द्वारा छापे गए थे. 1755-1756 में, मराठों ने गोहद के शासक को हराकर ग्वालियर किले पर कब्जा कर लिया। मराठा सामान्य महादजी शिंदे ( सिंधिया ) गोहाद राणा से किला पर कब्जा कर लिया छतरसिंह , लेकिन बाद में यह खो ब्रिटिश ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी । 3 अगस्त 1780 को, कैप्टन पोफम और ब्रूस के नेतृत्व में एक कंपनी बल ने रात के छापे में किले पर कब्जा कर लिया, 12 ग्रेनेडियर्स और 30 सिपाहियों के साथ दीवारों को नापते हुए । दोनों पक्षों को कुल मिलाकर 20 से कम घायल हुए। 1780 में, ब्रिटिश गवर्नर वारेन हेस्टिंग्सगोहद के राणाओं को किले को बहाल किया। चार साल बाद मराठों ने किले पर फिर से कब्जा कर लिया और इस बार अंग्रेजों ने हस्तक्षेप नहीं किया क्योंकि गोहद के राणा उनसे दुश्मनी कर चुके थे। दौलत राव सिंधिया दूसरे आंग्ल-मराठा युद्ध के दौरान अंग्रेजों से किला हार गए ।

रोहतास के इतिहासकार डा. श्याम सुन्दर तिवारी हैं कि बताते हैं कि वर्तमान शेरगढ़ का नाम पहले भुरकुड़ा का किला था। इसका उल्लेख मध्यकालीन इतिहास की पुस्तकों तारीख-ए-शेरशाही और तबकात-ए-अकबरी में मिलता है। खरवार राजाओं ने अपने किले को रोहतासगढ़ की ही तरह अति प्राचीन काल में बनवाया था। लेकिन इस किले पर 1529-30 ई. में शेर खां (शेरशाह) ने कब्जा कर लिया। फ्रांसिस बुकानन के अनुसार यहां भारी नरसंहार हुआ था। इसी कारण यह किला अभिशप्त और परित्यक्त हो गया। लेकिन एक सवाल अब भी यहां उठ रहा है कि क्या स्वतंत्र भारत में भी इसका अभिशाप खत्म नहीं होगा? क्या किसी हुक्काम की नजरें अब भी इनायत नहीं होंगी?
फ्रांसिस बुकानन 13 जनवरी 1913 को यहां आए थे। उन्होंने चर्चा की है कि इस किले के सिंह द्वार के ऊपर आठ बुर्ज थे, उनमें से आज मात्र पांच बुर्ज ही बचे हैं। सिंहद्वार से दक्षिण की ओर रास्ता मुख्य भवन की ओर जाता है। उबड़-खाबड़ रास्ता अब जंगल व कंटीली झाड़ियों से भरा पड़ा है। सिंहद्वार से लगभग एक किमी दूर दक्षिण में दूसरी पहाड़ी है, जिसके रास्ते में ही एक तालाब बना हुआ है। यह रानी पोखरा के नाम से जाना जाता है। दूसरी पहाड़ी भी प्राचीर से घिरी है। इसके अंदर मुख्य महल है। प्राचीर के दरवाजे तक जाने के लिए सीढ़ियां बनी हैं। दरवाजा अब गिरने की स्थिति में है। प्राचीर के भीतर दरवाजी के दोनों ओर दो खुले दालान हैं। कुछ दूर जाने पर भूमिगत गोलाकार कुआं है। भूमिगत कुएं से पूरब में चार मेहराब बनाते खंभों पर टिका चौकोर तहखाना है। इस तहखाने से पश्चिम-उत्तर में एक विशाल महल के ध्वंसावशेष बिखरे पड़े हैं।

जूनागढ़ किला (Junagarh Fort) :-- भारत के राजस्थान राज्य के बीकानेर शहर में है । इस किले को वास्तव में चिंतामणि किले और बीकानेर किले - Bikaner Fort के नाम से जाना जाता है और 20 वी शताब्दी के प्रारंभ में इसका नाम बदलकर जूनागढ़ रखा गया था क्योकि 20 वी शताब्दी में किले में रहने वाला परिवार लालगढ़ महल में स्थानांतरित हुआ था । यह किला राजस्थान के उन प्रमुख किलो में शामिल है जो पहाड़ की ऊंचाई पर नही बने है । वर्तमान बीकानेर शहर किले के आस - पास ही विकसित हुआ है । किले का निर्माण बीकानेर के शासक राजा राय सिंह के प्रधान मंत्री करण चंद की निगरानी में किया गया था , राजा राय सिंह ने 1571 से 1611 AD के बीच बीकानेर पर शासन किया था । किले की दीवारों और खाई का निर्माणकार्य 1589 में शुरू हुआ था और 1594 में पूरा हुआ था ।
