Tarpon Springs Florida: Fred Howard Park Beach Tour 2021
Have a look at the Fred Howard Park Beach in Tarpon Springs Florida in April 2021. If you are visiting the Tampa Bay area and want a change of pace from the crowded beaches like Clearwater Beach, then Fred Howard Park Beach in Tarpon Springs Florida is only 19 miles north of Clearwater Beach. There is plenty of parking in Fred Howard Park Beach and it is only $5 all day. People come here for fishing, wind surfing, camping, swimming and boat and kayak rentals and other watercraft.
After you are finished at this relaxing beach, you can drive just 4 miles over to the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. The Sponge Docks is the Greek Town area with many restaurants, souvenir shops, boat tours. You can get probably the most authentic Greek food in all of Florida. So if you are looking for the best things to to in Tampa, come check out Fred Howard Park Beach and then head to the sponge docks for a great evening.

Howard Beach is an upper middle class neighborhood in the southwestern portion of the New York City borough of Queens. It is bordered in the north by the Belt Parkway and South Conduit Avenue in Ozone Park, in the south by Jamaica Bay in Broad Channel, in the east by 102nd–104th Streets, and in the west by 75th Street. The area's houses are similar to Bayside and Hollis.

Fred Howard Park's location provides access to the Gulf of Mexico by a 1-mile long causeway. The white sandy beach is a very popular north county swim area and also provides a perfect location for visitors to enjoy many spectacular sunsets. Nesting ospreys and eagles may be viewed by park visitors as they fish for food in the surrounding waters. Dolphins, and occasionally manatees, are seen in the area. The causeway is used for sunbathing, fishing, and exercising.

I am at Howard Park Beach in Tarpon Springs. Wow! Look at this place! This 155-acre island is a little off the beaten path and accessible by a 1-mile causeway. The drive here is nearly as beautiful as the destination. This beach is protected by barrier islands. The sand is soft and white. The water is clear and calm. It's a perfect place to relax for the day, swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, or just watching the windsurfers. And if you like sunsets, this place is spectacular! It's normally not busy, it costs only 5 dollars for admission. Fred Howard Park is amazing! I'm sticking around for the sunset, but that's another video. For now, stay with me, I'm heading to the Spong Docks.
Alright, alright, I made it to the historic Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs. Just a quick walk, I'll come back later to check out more. Tarpon Springs used to be the sponge capital of the world. It's the largest Greek community in the US. Nowadays, it's famous for its Greek restaurants, markets, and bakeries. There is normally live entertainment and always history. There's shopping, and of course sponges, lots of sponges. This seems like a cute place but maybe a little touristy, it's cool though. I like this place, I'll come back, I gotta check out some of the restaurants.
