Hermosa Beach, CA is a small beach community in the South Bay of Los Angeles, about 5 miles south of LAX and maybe 15 miles south west of downtown LA. For much of my time in LA, I lived in Hermosa Beach, or one of the other beach cities communities. Hermosa Beach will always have a special place in my heart. Hermosa Beach is known for many things, including its wide swatches of sandy beach, it's historic pier (as featured in the hit movie La La Land), the amazing bars, restaurants, and nightlife along Pier Avenue, surfing, and, of course, the birthplace of beach volleyball.
I don't get to Hermosa as much as I would these days now that I live near Hollywood, but it's a great place to visit when I can and fly my drone when the time allows. This is a compilations of two trips I made to Hermosa in 2020 to fly my drone. Most of the footage is from August 2020 and depicts a typically beautiful evening as the sun sets over the Pacific. It may sound cliché, but I have actually meet people that came to Hermosa for a vacation and never left.
This is a test video. I'm trying out new transitions and editing features. It's not my best drone footage as it looks like some shots are over or under exposed. And I definitely had some shuttle setting issues with some of my pans. But I still like the compilation video, so I thought I'd share it.

Walking around Hermosa Beach Pier in South Bay Los Angeles, California Travel Guide ???? 【4K】
Hermosa Beach is a beachfront city located in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County, California. Hermosa Beach is bordered by the other two beach cities, Manhattan Beach to the north and Redondo Beach to the south.
The city's beach is popular for sunbathing, beach volleyball, surfing, paddleboarding, bars, cycling and running. The city itself extends only about 15 blocks from east to west and 40 blocks from north to south, with Pacific Coast Highway running down the middle.
A paved path, called The Strand, runs along Hermosa's beach from Torrance Beach in the south approximately twenty miles north to Santa Monica. The Hermosa Beach pier is at the end of Pier Avenue, which is one of the beach community's main shopping, eating and partying areas.
The Hermosa Beach Pier, extends 1,140 feet from the Strand toward the Pacific Ocean. The current Hermosa Beach Pier structure was built in 1965 and renovated in the early 2000s.
