Amsterdam is one of the most popular cities in Europe for travelers to visit, and for good reason. Amsterdam has one off the most unique city environments to explore featuring beautiful Dutch architecture, countless canals that feel like they were pulled from a fairy tale and countless cafes, shops, artworks and more to explore. Amsterdam is also known for being a lively city filled with memorable cultural institutions and a vibrant night life. It's no wonder so many people visit here every year.
In this video we share how we spent 3 days in Amsterdam with a full itinerary including the order we visited certain sites and prices for everything we saw and ate. There are so many things too see when you visit Amsterdam so we unfortunately could not see everything in just 3 days. We hope this can be a good starting point for you as you think about how to plan your visit to this memorizing city.

Grocery shopping in the Netherlands is always a treat.
I very much enjoy going to the grocery store, maybe more then I should and with this video I wanted to shed a bit of light of how grocery stores in the Netherlands stand out form other countries. There are many surprising finds and interesting in-tell about the culture.
As for recommendations the video suggests a lot of classics, feel free to share other suggestions! (lidl mozzarella salad is pretty good)
I was also informed that Marqt does not produce profit! which was quite surprising since it s one the more expensive range.
Also let me know if some things only I experienced, maybe some things depend on the region…?

Landgoed Nijenburg in Heiloo (Netherlands) is a 18th century Dutch estate
Landgoed Nijenburg is a 18th century Dutch estate between Alkmaar and Heiloo. In 1705 the Nijenburgh by Jan van Egmond has started the construction of the courtyard. The initially simple house was in sober Dutch Classicist style done in red brick. The coach house always is unique because of its size in the context of the Dutch estates. The exterior of the coach house is as good as preserved in its original state and gives much better than the main house, an image of the powerful architecture conception of around 1700. Around 1712 the main building was extended to the rear with a library. In the 19th century changed the face because the white facade was plastered, a balcony was built and the doors and windows were realized in Empire style. The gardens contain many cultural and historical elements from the 18th and 19th centuries and thus is Nijenburg unique and rare mention in the region. Until the 20th century, the country estate owned by the family Foreest, descendants of the family Van Egmond of Nijenburgh. To ensure sustainable conservation was decided to sell the estate of 285 acres in two transactions (1932 and 1966) at the Society of Nature.

Het terrein ligt gedeeltelijk op een voedselarme strandwal en deels op voedselrijke veen-, klei-, en zandgronden. In 1705 werd door Jan van Egmond van de Nijenburgh begonnen met de bouw van de buitenplaats. Het aanvankelijk eenvoudige huis werd in sobere Hollands classicistische stijl uitgevoerd in rode bakstenen met geblokte hoeklisenen. Het koetshuis van de Nijenburg is door zijn omvang uniek binnen de context van de Nederlandse buitenplaatsen. De buitenzijde van het koetshuis is zo goed als in de oorspronkelijke staat bewaard gebleven en geeft, veel beter dan het hoofdhuis, een beeld van de krachtige architectuuropvatting van rond 1700 Omstreeks 1712 werd het hoofdgebouw aan de achterzijde uitgebreid met een bibliotheek. In de 19e eeuw veranderde het aangezicht doordat de voorgevel wit werd gepleisterd, een balkon werd aangebouwd en deuren en vensters in empirestijl werden gerealiseerd. De tuinen bevatten vele cultuurhistorische elementen uit de 18e en 19e eeuw en daarmee is Nijenburg uniek en zeldzaam te noemen in de regio. Tot in de 20e eeuw was de buitenplaats in bezit van de familie Van Foreest, nazaten van de familie Van Egmond van de Nijenburgh. Om duurzaam behoud te garanderen werd besloten het landgoed van 285 hectare in twee transacties (1932 en 1966) te verkopen aan de Vereniging Natuurmonumenten. Op haar beurt heeft Natuurmonumenten in 2004 besloten de gebouwen over te dragen aan Vereniging Hendrick de Keyser. Laatstgenoemde stichting is sindsdien verantwoordelijk voor het beheer, de renovatie en restauratie van het hoofdgebouw en het bijbehorende koetshuis.

In this video, I run through the different types of public transport in Amsterdam and how to use them. I cover the tram, metro, ferry and bus (run by GVB) as well as the train (run by NS). In terms of tickets I talk about the GVB ticket, iamsterdam city card, OV card as well as prices and where to buy them. I also talk about OVpay which has very recently been introduced and is available on the GVB network. Finally I share a tip if you get lost on the bus or tram. Whether you are visiting or you’re moving to Amsterdam; I give you the low down on how to use the public transport here. NB I also reference Amsterdam Centraal Station quite a few times.
