Visiting Northern Ireland | Dark Hedges, Giants Causeway & Dunluce Castle

We spent the day exploring Northern Ireland. We stopped in at the Dark Hedges, Giants Causeway & Dunluce Castle. We also visited the Bushmill's Distillery and had some delicious food along the way.

Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom, located on the northeastern part of the island of Ireland. It has a population of around 1.8 million people and covers an area of 13,843 square kilometers.

The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast, and it is the largest city in the country. Northern Ireland is known for its stunning coastline, beautiful countryside, and rich history, which includes the Troubles - a period of sectarian conflict that lasted from the late 1960s to the late 1990s.

Northern Ireland has a devolved government, which means that it has its own legislative and executive authority, although it is still part of the United Kingdom. The country has a complex political system, with power-sharing arrangements between the main political parties, which are divided along sectarian lines.

Northern Ireland is also known for its vibrant culture, which includes traditional music, dance, and Gaelic sports such as hurling and Gaelic football. It is also home to several historic sites, such as the Giant's Causeway, a natural rock formation that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Titanic Belfast museum, which tells the story of the ill-fated ship's construction in the city.

10 of the Most Beautiful Gardens to Visit Around the World

Historic Whitechapel Walking Tour: Uncovering the Hidden Gems of East London (4K)

Join me on a journey through the streets of Whitechapel, one of London's most vibrant and storied areas. Our East London walking tour begins at Petticoat Lane, a bustling market dating back to the 1600s now known for its lively atmosphere and diverse range of goods. From there, we'll make our way to Wentworth Street once the heart of the Jewish East End and still a weekday market and centre of textile shops.

As we continue our walk, we'll visit Commercial Street, where we'll see Toynbee Hall, a social reform centre that has played a crucial role in the development of the area. From there, we'll head to East Tenter Street, where we'll see the impressive St George's German Church dating from 1720.

Next, we'll make our way to Commercial Road then to the site of the original White Church that gives Whitechapel its name. From there, we'll visit the iconic Whitechapel Bell Foundry, a historic business that has been casting bells since the 1570s and the site of Whitechapel Fort, one of London's Civil War defences. Finally, we'll end our tour at the Whitechapel Mount, located next to the London Hospital.

Throughout our walk, we'll delve into the rich history and culture of Whitechapel, learning about the fascinating sites and stories that have shaped this vibrant neighbourhood.

Medieval Saffron Walden, Essex, England 2022 | Best Medieval market town (with captions)

Turn on the caption guide and enjoy this Saffron Walden, Essex, England 2022 walking tour.
Saffron Walden is a picturesque, medieval town, in north-west Essex, 15 miles south of Cambridge.
If you're thinking of visiting or moving to Saffron walden you'll find many interesting historic buildings reflecting its wealth as a rural market town.

At the heart lies St Mary’s Church, the largest parish church in Essex. Fine examples of elaborate moulded plasterwork (pargetting), can be seen on the Old Sun Inn and the houses in Castle Street & Bridge Street. Also of note are the Eight Bells, the timber-framed Cross Keys, and the medieval building located at 1 Myddylton Place.

Saffron Walden Museum's collections are housed in one of the oldest purpose-built museum buildings in the country, completed in 1835. It includes mammoth tusks and mummies, an early Tudor bed and a natural history museum gallery. In the grounds of the museum are the ruins of the Castle Keep which dates back to the 1130s.

Bridge End Garden is on the north side of Saffron Walden. Careful restoration has replicated gardening techniques and designs typical of the Victorian era and brought the garden back to its full splendour. The wonderful hedge maze is of particular appeal to children. The path into the garden passes the Fry Art Gallery which houses a collection of works by a Great Bardfield group of artists who settled in the Essex countryside in the 1930s.

The attractive Common is the oldest of Saffron Walden’s open spaces and on its eastern side is the largest turf labyrinth still surviving in Europe. Children of all ages enjoy following the ‘path’ through the turf, which winds for about one mile within a circle 100 feet (30.5 meters) in diameter.

Great Gardens of England

the Gardens at Hidcote Manor, Mottisfont Abbey, Sissinghurst Castle

With a cameo appearance by Nigel Nicolson

Why did American-born Major Lawrence Johnston spend much of his lifetime creating a storied garden in a remote part of the Cotswolds? What is Graham Stuart Thomas's glorious collection of antique roses doing in a medieval English Abbey? What persuaded author, poet and plantswoman Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson to buy a derelict ruin on the edge of the Kentish Weald to create their fabled garden? Their son, Nigel Nicolson, reminisces about this most beloved of gardens and his now legendary parents.

An extensive tour of each garden examines design, plantings, close-up details, and observations by gardeners. An hour of sheer enjoyment, beauty, and an excellent source of inspiration for those with a love for gardens.

Canada Road Trip: Best Things To Do In Newfoundland

Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Newfoundland!

Newfoundland was our first province during the Road to 150, our 150-day road trip across Canada. We experienced icebergs, fjords, walking on the Earth's mantle, humpback whales, kitchen parties, and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean. But most of all, we fell in love with the people, which is a big part of what makes Newfoundland such a special place.

We drove to and through every driveable province and territory, showcasing Canada's natural beauty and regional attractions while interviewing Canadians of all cultures and backgrounds, including local celebrities, immigrants, refugees, and everyday rural and urban Canadians. LONDON STREETS, SQUARES, AND PARKS! (10 DOWNING ST., PICCADILLY CIRCUS, HYDE PARK, AND MORE!) (4K)

London, England has some of the most famous streets, squares, and parks in the world, and in this video, you're going to experience many of them. Please join me as we visit 10 Downing Street, home of the British Prime Minister; Carnaby Street, home of 1960's Swinging London fashion; Bond and Oxford Streets, featuring London's most upscale shopping; Piccadilly Circus, which is not actually a circus, but it's an area where five main streets intersect and over 100 million people a year pass through; Trafalgar Square, home of Nelson's Column and The National Gallery Art Museum; Savile Row, home of men's fine suits, James Bond fashion, and a piece of Beatles musical history; Hyde Park, London's largest park and one of the most famous parks in the world; St. James's Park, located between Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abby; and Shepherd Market, a square that got its start in the 18th century and now features restaurants and pubs. Also, please click on the link at the end of this video to see the best London Beatles tour!
