Overall, I've covered approximately 2500 nautical miles, excluding day sailing. For my European friends, that translates to around 4000 kilometers. These miles have been a culmination of adventures on my own sailboat, participating in a catamaran delivery, navigating an offshore racing yacht, and cruising on a monohull.

The Journey
Sailing for approximately one month, our journey unfolded on an Endurance 37 monohull full keel sailboat. Departing from #Cardiff, we sailed in the company of a small group of boats to #Oxwich Bay. While our companions turned back, we continued our expedition to #Lundy, where we explored the surroundings and indulged in a memorable swim with seals to the north of the island. Fueled by perfect conditions and a few celebratory beers, we pressed on to #Padstow, spending several days in the charming harbor town.
Our adventure continued to the enchanting #IslesofScilly, often referred to as the Caribbean of England, situated just 28 miles off the UK coast. Island-hopping became our routine as we explored #StMarys, #Tresco, #StMartins, #Bryher, #StAgnes, and #Samson. The return journey mirrored our path in reverse, with a detour to St Ives and a skip past Lundy and Oxwich. Instead, we dropped anchor in the picturesque village of #Clovelly.
Longest by distance
Embarking on a delivery journey from #Hayling Island to Cardiff, as a group of friends we helped bring back our friends #BroadBlue38 catamaran, completing the trip in four days. Leaving around 10 pm, we opted for the south side of the Isle of Wight. A pitstop in #Falmouth due to poor weather conditions, and during our stay, we indulged in a pub crawl. Continuing our journey, we anchored near #Newquay, taking advantage of the time to wait for the tide to turn. A visit to introduced an unexpected turn of events, with the possibility of being left alone on the journey. Some of our crew had work commitments, and one member departed to fulfill duties on freight ships. Most of the crew opted to call in sick for their jobs. Throughout the coastal passage, our route was accompanied by a mix of dolphins and birds, adding a touch of natural beauty to our delivery adventure.
Longest on my boat.
As highlighted in the video, my journey with boat ownership has been a constant struggle between health and wealth. Just before acquiring my boat, I faced a challenging incident. While en route to work, I encountered a car accident where a vehicle hit the highway barrier and ended up in the middle lane facing the wrong direction. Acting quickly, I used my van as a shield, rescued the person from the car, but unfortunately, a lorry collided with the van, subsequently hitting me. Despite saving someone's life, I found myself in the unfortunate position of being run over. The challenges continued during lockdowns, as being an agency worker meant receiving only £10 a month. Post-lockdown, I underwent a knee operation, adding to the difficulties I faced. Considering these hardships, it was surprising as I mapped out the distances covered – from Cardiff to Lundy, Clovelly, Watchet, and back to Cardiff. Additionally, I made a few trips to Bristol and Oxwich Bay and engaged in some day sailing in the BayArea.

VISITING HAYLING ISLAND (Beach Life) 4k
Sometimes it’s great to visit places right on you doorstep, especially when the suns out. What’s better than the beach!!!
Reached by crossing the Langstone bridge, Hayling island is one of best blue flag beaches in Hampshire, with its beautiful golden sands.
Why not sit at the Ferry boat inn and watch the busy harbour entrance buzz with jet ski’s and small pleasure boats whilst enjoying a bite to eat and a drink.
Walking along the beach you’ll find the Fun land amusement park with its rides and game machines, a great way to pass a couple of hours!

We are back at the parks and whilst not our first visit of the year it seems fitting that the first vlog will come from Funland Hayling Island.
The park under a big change for the 2021 season with the long standing canopy being removed opening the park up much more, it makes a real difference once you you on the rides and look over the park!
With all rides open we take you on board for a fun family afternoon with Log Flume, Coaster, Jumbos and of course the flying Miami included. With the Destination Z still to come things are on the up for Funland.

Portsmouth is a port city in the ceremonial county of Hampshire on the south coast of England. Located mainly on Portsea Island, 110 km south-west of London and 31 km south-east of Southampton, it is the United Kingdom's only island city.
The city's history can be traced to Roman times. A significant naval port for centuries, Portsmouth has the world's oldest dry dock and was England's first line of defence during the French invasion in 1545. Special Palmerston Forts were built in 1859 in anticipation of another invasion from continental Europe. By the early-19th century, Portsmouth was the most heavily fortified city in the world, and was considered the world's greatest naval port at the height of the British Empire throughout Pax Britannica. The world's first mass production line was set up in the city, making it the most industrialised site in the world. During the Second World War, the city was a pivotal embarkation point for the D-Day landings and was bombed extensively in the Portsmouth Blitz, which resulted in the deaths of 930 people. In 1982, the city housed the entirety of the attacking forces in the Falklands War. Her Majesty's Yacht Britannia left the city to oversee the transfer of Hong Kong in 1997, which marked for many the end of the empire.
Portsmouth is one of the world's best known ports. HMNB Portsmouth is the largest dockyard for the Royal Navy and is home to two-thirds of the UK's surface fleet. The city is home to some famous ships, including HMS Warrior, the Tudor carrack Mary Rose and Horatio Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory. The former HMS Vernon naval shore establishment has been redeveloped as a retail park known as Gunwharf Quays. Portsmouth is among the few British cities with two cathedrals: the Anglican Cathedral of St Thomas and the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Evangelist. The waterfront and Portsmouth Harbour are dominated by the Spinnaker Tower, one of the United Kingdom's tallest structures at 560 feet. Nearby Southsea is a seaside resort with a pier amusement park and medieval castle.
Portsmouth International Port is a commercial cruise ship and ferry port for international destinations. The port is the second busiest in the United Kingdom after Dover, handling around three million passengers a year. The University of Portsmouth enrols 23,000 students and is ranked among the world's best modern universities. Portsmouth is also the birthplace of author Charles Dickens and engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

With Funland opening on July 4th we thought we would head down to see if thee were any changes ahead of opening. We take a look at the rides, the already open Crazy Golf with looking at what social distancing they have put into place ready to open.
