Our 6th episode of our Motorhome trip from Italy to the UK done in March 2017. In this episode, we travel from Luneville, France, through Luxembourg, Belgium and back into France to a lovely little town called Hautmont.

In March 2017, we flew to Pisa Italy to pick up a Roller Team T-Line 740 from the Trigano Roller Team Factory in Cusano, Italy.
We had 7 days to drive the motorhome back to Toddington to the Just Go offices. To make things cheaper and as a true test for our future plans, we also decided we should,
A) Avoid Toll Roads and instead, take Tolle Roads and enjoy the Scenery
B) Stay in Aires and Sastos where possible
C) preferably find ones with free electic.
D) Drive a little every day, and
E) Have Duane work every work day week as close to work hours as possible!
Let's just say we needed a holiday from this holiday!
We naturally took our camera's along and attempted to record the events, sites, sights, and routes of the trip.

De Chamonix à Megève, en passant par les gorges de l’Arly, ce film nous emmène à la découverte du mythique Mont Blanc et de sa vallée. Dans des décors grandioses et souvent méconnus s'offrent à nos yeux des paysages magnifiques, des chalets grandioses et des lieux chargés d’histoire.
Autrefois refuge d’alpinistes expérimentés, Chamonix s’est transformé au fil des années pour devenir une destination glamour. Authenticité et savoir-faire traditionnels sont encore très présents dans les vallées avoisinantes, comme autour des Aravis où l’on fabrique le reblochon avec passion.
Avec ses 4.809 mètres d’altitude, le Mont-Blanc reste un « sommet » touristique.

XTGFAMILY, qui sommes-nous?
Nous sommes Julien et Marie avec nos 3 enfants, Manon 12 ans, Alicya 8 ans et Alex 4 ans.
Nous avons décidé de sortir du quotidien qui nous enferme et de profiter de la vie.
Julien était conducteur d’engins et Marie Ingénieur dans une société de travaux de dépollution. Nous avons tout vendu et décidé de quitter la vie métro, boulot, dodo, pour partir voir le monde.
En juillet 2017 nous avons acheté un ancien camion 4x4 militaire de l’armée allemande (MAN KAT) sur lequel nous avons posé une caisse frigo que nous avons aménagée.
Notre objectif faire Ushuaïa-Alaska. Nous sommes partis en Novembre 2019 pour l’Amérique du Sud, après être passés par l'Uruguay, le Brésil et le Paraguay, la pandémie nous a stoppé en Argentine. Nous visitons depuis ce beaux pays en attendant l'ouverture des frontières pour poursuivre l'aventure. La durée ? Le plus longtemps possible!

Marie-Galante : à la découverte du joyau des Caraïbes
Certains pensent à cause d'une chanson de Laurent Voulzy que Marie-Galante est près de Belle-Ile-en-Mer, alors que Marie-Galante est en face de la Guadeloupe. Or, cette petite confusion géographique va très bien aux Marie-Galantais qui adorent que leur île reste secrète. Pour comprendre cette mini-société magnifiquement isolée, nous avons suivi plusieurs Marie-Galantais qui nous ont fait découvrir les trésors de leur île.

Hi! Welcome to my thirteenth video posted on YouTube :-)
This episode is dedicated to Mont Thabor, a mountain of Savoie and Hautes-Alpes, France. It lies in the Massif des Cerces range with an elevation of 3,178 metres above sea level.
Two hypotheses coexist about the name of the mountain: the first relates it to Mount Tabor, in Israel, while the second derives from local traditions.
The summit marked the border between Italy and France until 1947. The Treaty of Paris stipulated after the Second World War meant that the border is currently located at the beginning of the Vallée Étroite and passes about 5 km further east.
Generally it is my habit to spend at least one night on the summit, every year, taking advantage of the last period of the thaw that allows to find a good amount of snow still on the top area, to then melt it and get water to drink and to cook.
The presence of water, and means to produce it, is always essential for overnight stays at high altitude.
During all these visits I have therefore taken a large number of photos, depicting all the most significant moments of light. As my habit I insert them in this video to offer a picture as complete as possible of the place and of what it can aesthetically offer.
This is my approach to the mountains: discovering new places and regularly revisiting the ones I love!

Since a few months I’ve opened this YouTube channel, in order to document some of my adventures also through the video; a new experience for me, which I find very fascinating.

I usually hike alone, or sometimes in the company of my girlfriend. I believe that only in this way is it possible to hear the subtle intimate essence of certain places.
All places naturally speak to us, it is up to us to refine our ability to listen.
My aim is to share my alpine experiences lived at all hours and in all seasons.
So, through my works - which I hope will be more and more refined in capturing mountain's soul - you will see the Alps in all possible light conditions: twilight, dawn, daylight, sunset, blue hour, night… in the moonlight or beneath the magical mantle of the Milky Way.

Bluey Va Sud: a fun trip by car to the south of France for some outdoor action. Includes climbing several peaks around La Bérarde on the west side of the Parc National des Écrins, and some rock climbing at Orpierre. Filmed in the summer of 2014. No actual French words were harmed during this production, but their pronunciation certainly was. Pardon! A brilliant soundtrack by some awesome artist you should know about.
