Milwaukee is the biggest city in Wisconsin and has so many amazing things to do. You can eat delicious food at places such as the Public Market, Beerline Cafe, and some iconic neighborhoods. Eat around and explore Old World Third Street and the Historic Third Ward. Enjoy the outdoors around the Lakefront and visit beaches such as Bradford Beach and Atwater Beach. In this video, we will take you on a tour of our city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You'll be able to visit the museums, cool neighborhoods, breweries, riverwalk, lakefront, and everything else Milwaukee has to offer. Milwaukee is a completely underrated city and it has tons of fun activities, including Summerfest, one of the largest music festivals in the world. We were not living in Milwaukee at the time when we filmed this video, but our list has not changed now that we live here full-time.

Boerner Botanical Gardens, Hales Corners, Wisconsin from Travel with Iva Jasperson
Hello everyone...
Boerner Botanical Gardens are botanical gardens located on the grounds of Whitnall Park in the village of Hales Corners, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The gardens are named for Alfred Boerner, who designed the original five formal gardens. The Annual, Perennial, Rock, Rose and Peony Gardens were constructed in the 1930s. Later additions included trial, herb, lily and shrub rose gardens, as well as the Bog Walk.
Part of the Milwaukee County Park System, the gardens are maintained by professional horticulturalists. Many species of plant life are cultivated and displayed. The gardens include test and display gardens for All-America Selections and is an American Hosta Society Display Garden.
Boerner Botanical Gardens is open from late April to early November and closes for the winter.
Within the gardens and adjacent to them in Whitnall Park, and along the Root River Parkway is the arboretum, which showcases arranged groves of trees and shrubs. Nearby are the Wehr Nature Center and the historic Trimborn Farm estate, which are also maintained by the county park system.

Hiking in the City? Milwaukee's Seven Bridges Hiking Trail [Milwaukee Hikes - Grant Park]
Milwaukee's Seven Bridges Hiking Trail is located approximately 10 miles South of downtown, in the Milwaukee County Park System's Grant Park. The convenient location and the access to Lake Michigan land this trail atop my list of favorite Milwaukee hikes!
The Milwaukee County Parks System boasts over 150 parks! While there are numerous hikes in Milwaukee County Parks, the Seven Bridges Trail is consistently listed among the best Milwaukee trails. The trail is a relatively short (only about two miles) loop, and while there are stairs and some uneven footing, I would rate this as an easy or family friendly hike. The trail is also dog friendly... Just don't forget to bring a leash and to clean up after your best friend!
Many hikers are familiar with, and celebrate the works of, the Civilian Conservation Corps. The bridges and staircases on Milwaukee's Seven Bridges Hiking Trail were constructed by the Works Progress Administration -- another federal employment program from the 1930s! The Lannon stone steps are considered a signature of the WPA days and are ubiquitous in the Milwaukee County Parks.
If you're going to be doing any hiking in Milwaukee, I definitely recommend heading down to Grant Park to check out the Seven Bridges Trail! Just don't make plans to visit the trail in the winter... The trail is closed during the colder months, as the staircases become icy and slick.

The Basilica of St Josaphat is the largest church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was modeled after the Basilica of St Peters' in Rome and, although smaller, it is very ornate with paintings and sculptures throughout. It is a beautiful as many of the churches and cathedrals we have visited while traveling in Europe.
