Walk Through Limburg Christmas Market
Limburg is a beautiful, old town that is on the Half-Timbered Route in Germany. Full of gorgeous, buildings that have lots of carvings on them, it is the perfect setting for a Christmas market. Normally, it would wind around through the town, up and down the lanes, but 2021 is different of course, and much of the market is fenced in and you need to show that you are vaccinated or recovered to get into this area. They will put a pink band on your wrist so you can eat, shop, or drink without needing to pull out your wallet each time to show your vaccine status.
All of the stores in town are decorated and you can easily spend a day just wandering around outside of the Christmas market, exploring the many unique stores here as well as their cathedral.
Limburg is easy to get to from Frankfurt, with direct trains running at least once an hour.

Herborn is situated north of Frankfurt. There are beautiful half-timbered houses in the old center of the town. We stayed in Herborn for a couple of days and visited from there several towns in the neighbourhood. (Original sound, no added music).

Scenic attractions include its half-timbered houses; Herborn is located on the German Timber-Frame Road. Herborn hosted the 26th Hessentag state festival in 1986, and the 56th Hessentag in 2016.

Bei unserem Besuch in der Burgenstadt Runkel (rund 9.400 Einwohner - Hessen) begeistert uns der Blick über die Lahn zur Lahnbrücke und zur Burg von Runkel. Danach schauen wir uns u.a. das Alte Rathaus am Schlossplatz und die evangelische Kirche mit Glockenturm an.

Here is a drive I was expecting to be more pleasant but still quite nice and enjoyable. I wanted to drive down the river Rhine, only the road builders had other ideas. So I ended up driving along it in parts but most of the time somewhere else!

This is because I am the publisher of Central and Eastern European Packaging -- - the international platform for the packaging industry in this region focusing on the latest innovations, trends, design, branding, legislation and environmental issues with in-depth profiles of major industry achievers.

Located in Blanes, in Costa Brava, the Marimurtra Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens on the Mediterranean. At the top of steep cliffs running along the sea, you can enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramic views over the coastline and get to know more than four thousand plant species, most of them exotic ones, as well as several specimens that are extraordinary because of their age or size.
Marimurtra is the work of a man with a passion for nature. Carl Faust (Hadamar, Germany 1874-Blanes 1952), was a businessman residing in Catalonia who devoted his hopes, his efforts and all his fortune to make his dream come true, the Botanical Garden Marimurtra.

Tossa de Mar in the province of Girona is not just a beautiful coastal town, it also has lots of beautiful bays and the coastline boasts gorgeous natural surroundings and rock formations. The scenery looks like something from a postcard, an image that will make your holiday on the Costa Brava an experience hard to forget.
Based on my own experience, these are below the 10 most important things to do in Lloret de Mar during your vacation:

Many good beaches. The bigger ones are Lloret main beach and just south of that, Fenals beach. But many other beaches offer you a great day out as well: Canyelles beach, Sta Christina beach, Sta Boadella beach (with the half of space officially assigned to nudists) and many more small ones. Most of them can be reached by car only, since they're not on walking distance of downtown Lloret.
The Verdaguer Cultural Centre has excavated relics from the Puig de Castellet Iberian settlement dating back to 250 BC (open Sat-Sun, 11am - 6pm only). Also naval models, paintings and photographs. Museum of the Sea. 4 euros but has very little in it other than a collection of model boats.
At the far end of the Lloret beach is a castle structure. It's a nice walk, but thousands walk quite some distance to it every day only to find it is private property and does not allow visitors.
There are extensive cycle lanes in parts of Lloret on the pavement. Not many use them and tourists wander through them. These can be very dangerous as a collision between a speeding cyclist and a walker is an accident waiting to happen and will result in an injury or worse.
In 2010 a new big Casino was built, as a part of one of Lloret's 5 star hotels: Guitart Monterrey. It's one of the biggest casinos of the Costa Brava. There are a number of slot arcades ready to relieve you of any excess money.

Saarburg, Sehenswürdigkeiten der historischen Weinstadt
Im Mittelpunkt unseres Besuchs in Saarburg (Landkreis Trier-Saarburg in Rheinland-Pfalz) stand der Wasserfall im Stadtzentrum mit Museum Amüseum, die Burganlage über dem Saarufer und die Pfarrkirche St. Laurentius. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Bereich des Buttermarktes mit seinen über die Leuk führenden Brücken.

Luftlmalerei House Paintings in Oberammergau
The painting is most religious character in particularly involving figures of saints as well as manifold scenes all around the Passion Play theme in Oberammergau. In Southern Germany and Italy Lüftlmalerei is a handicraft method of wall-paintings originally applied for decorating the baroque facades. In 18th century the method began to become popular in the foothills region of the Alps, where wealthy traders or people peasants and craftsmen displayed their wealth by means of opulently painted facades. The Painting technique is to called Fresco Technique, the mineral basis of water colors are applied to wet freshly laid plaster. They become a fixed layer of color after colors dry, insoluble to water. The necessity to work quickly in the fresh air (Luft), led to the belief that the term Lüftlmalerei is some how connected to this particular method of painting. The famous town of Oberammergau also shows how inextricably linked a handicraft is to the history of its town. In principle a stroll through the town famed the world over for it passion play is almost like walking through a museum.
