Many upscale seafood restaurants, such as Doyle's on the Beach in Watsons Bay, feature this succulent dish on their menu, allowing you to experience the true flavors of Sydney's seas.

4. Lamington: If you have a sweet tooth, don't forget to sample Australia's national cake, the lamington. A sponge cake coated in chocolate icing and rolled in desiccated coconut, this delightful treat is often filled with a layer of jam and cream. Australians hate Apartments! But why?

Want to help with making captions for Building Beautifully? Click this link:

Australians hate apartments. A 2021 Bankwest Survey found that 60% of Australians would prefer to live in a free-standing house, with only 15% choosing apartments. But with our cities sprawling out of control, and a housing supply shortage that is fuelling our housing and rental crisis...our cities have no choice but to start going up. Australians are probably going to have to get over their dislike of apartments if we want any hope of continuing to house millions of people in our cities. So why exactly do we hate apartments in the first place? Find out in this video.

STAY HERE: Sydney's Coolest Airbnb (+ Travel Tips)

Looking for a place to stay in Sydney? Stay here! Scott has the most amazing Airbnb and we're excited to share it with you!

We’ve been living and working in Sydney since October 2019 and have so far lived in 4 different Airbnbs. This is our fifth, and most favorite! (Also, not sponsored at all to make this video, we just really loved this place!)

Scott is our Airbnb host and the friendliest person we’ve met in Australia. We learned about this place after staying in Scott’s pad out the back in December.

So why is this place our favorite and why should you stay here if you’re traveling to Sydney?

1) Scott and Lisa. Just read the reviews of his Airbnb, Scott has been so helpful and friendly ever since our first day staying at his pad out the back!

2) The loft. The loft is so unique and unlike any Airbnb we’ve stayed in!

3) The location. You’re not staying in the heart of the CBD so the price of the Airbnb isn’t like the ones in the city. Scott’s place is a short walk from the train station and soon enough you’ll be at Circular Quay ready to explore all that Sydney has to offer

4) Explore Sydney's Inner West. When you’re not exploring Sydney’s CBD and the beaches, you can explore Marrickville itself and Sydney’s Inner West. Marrickville has a large Vietnamese influence and you can get a delicious Pork Roll (or Bahn Mi) for just $6 AUD!

Link to Scott's Massive Loft:

Everyone's travel story is different, whether it is planning a week long vacation in Japan, or traveling long term. We are excited to share our travel adventures with you all and if you have any questions about traveling (what we packed, how we planned, how we booked Airbnb's, etc.) let us know in the comments!

Subscribe and click the bell to get notified when our next video is posted!
