Nashua is a city in southern New Hampshire, United States. At the 2020 census, it had a population of 91,322,[3] the second-largest in northern New England after nearby Manchester. Along with Manchester, it is a seat of New Hampshire's most populous county, Hillsborough.
Built around the now-departed textile industry, in recent decades Nashua's economy has shifted to the financial services, high tech, and defense industries as part of the economic recovery that started in the 1980s in the Greater Boston region. Major private employers in the city include Nashua Corporation, BAE Systems, and Teradyne. The city also hosts two major regional medical centers, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital. The South Nashua commercial district is a major regional shopping destination, lying directly on the Massachusetts border and taking advantage of New Hampshire's lack of sales tax. It is anchored by the Pheasant Lane Mall and numerous smaller shopping centers.
Nashua was three times named one of the Best Places to Live in America in annual surveys by Money magazine, most recently in 2022. It is one of many cities nicknamed Gate City because they are seen as the entry point, or gateway, to a region.

Eyrie House - Mount Nonotuck - Mount Tom Reservation
Today's adventure brought us to the Mount Tom Reservation in Holyoke, Ma, to see the remains of the Eyrie House Ruins on Mount Nonotuck. The summit house was the dream of William Street. He built the summit hotel in 1861 and ran it until it burnt down in 1901. The state then took his land under eminent domain for $5000. William Street never accepted or cashed the check. We got a couple geocaches too.

GROVETON TX.
We drove out to Groveton Tx. to meet up with family. So much peace and quiet, I flew close to the area we were in and tried not to fly over into other peoples property. This was my 1st video where I actually flew around instead of hovering in place. The day ended with a beautiful sunset and some cool pictures.

On our continuing quest to stand on every site where a fire tower stands, once stood or was proposed brought us to Sam's Hill in Charlestown, NH. #64 of the 92 towers for us. We followed an ATV Trail to the base of the hill then bushwhacked up to the summit.

NH Fire Tower List map…
Our quest to stand at every site where a fire tower stands, once stood or was proposed, brought us to Mill Mountain #58 for us on the NH Fire Tower List. This was a pure bushwhack as there are no trails to the summit. There are fire tower remains along with the Fire Warden Cabin and outhouse.

Percy Peaks - North and South
This adventure took us to the Nash Stream State forest to hike the Percy Peaks, both North Peak (which is on 52 with a View) and the South Peak. We also visited the Percy Loop Camp. We took the Percy Loop Trail which is also part of the COHOS Trail. We did the loop clockwise and it does involve a road walk.
The views were very nice, but we had a thunderstorm bearing down on us. We may it out of the woods before the rain started, but not back to our car. Yup, we got wet.

On our continuing quest to stand on every site where a fire tower stands, once stood or was proposed brought us to Diamond Peaks in the 2nd College Grant NH. #61 of the 92 towers for us. We had to walk 2.2 miles on the main road just to get to the trail as there is a gate that is always locked. The Diamond Peak Trail itself is blazed in yellow, but every trail in the Grant seems to be blazed in yellow.

Old Orchard Maine Pt1 S4EP10
We're off to Maine for a few weeks. Here in part 1 we travel north, through Saco and Old Orchard Beach to our campsite. We have dinner at The Lobster Claw, and play a re-match of mini-golf at Schooners.

We Travel from Littleton, NH, into Dalton, NH, where we cross over and travel along the Connecticut River, along VT. RT. 102 up, where we cross into Stratford Hollow, Stratford, NH. From there we end our trip in Groveton, NH!
