Ένα φυσικό τοπίο άπειρου κάλους που Φημίζεται για την πλούσια χλωρίδα και πανίδα ενώ ξεχωρίζει για την μεγάλη ποικιλία μανιταριών (περίπου 1.000 είδη) ! Τα μικτά δάση αειθαλών και φυλλοβόλων δέντρων δημιουργούν όμορφες χρωματικές συνθέσεις, κάνοντάς το να ξεχωρίζει από μακριά. το μικρό κλίμα τις περιοχής σε συνδυασμό με τα μικτά δάση δημιουργούν τις κατάλληλες συνθήκες για την ανάπτυξη διαφόρων ειδών μανιταριών όλες τις εποχές του χρόνου. Although anything but famous tourist destinations, these towns do have lots of great sights of archaeological and geological importance, and offer incredible vistas and abundant nature.
The best time to visit is from early June to late July, when the wheat fields take a beautiful golden colour that creates an incredible contrast to the sapphire-blue of the sky.
Being very close to Egnatia Odos (A2), these cities are excellent places to visit and see how Greeks really live their everyday lives.
In the first part of our roadtrip, we start from Grevena and drive all the way to Kivotos, a small village located North of Grevena, surrounded by beautiful nature, and vast wheat and lavender fields.
Alas, even though videos can give you a visual cue of the natural beauty, they cannot provide you with a sense of the warmth, aroma, and sounds one can enjoy in this trip.
These are all things that you must find out by travelling there yourselves!
-Ελληνικά: Τα Γρεβενά, το Τσοτύλι και η Κοζάνη είναι αγροτικές πόλεις της Δυτικής Μακεδονίας.
Παρόλο που είναι κάθε άλλο παρά διάσημοι τουριστικοί προορισμοί, αυτές οι πόλεις έχουν πολλά εξαιρετικά αξιοθέατα υψηλής αρχαιολογικής και γεωλογικής αξίας, ενώ παράλληλα προσφέρουν στον ταξιδιώτη εκπληκτικά τοπία και πλούσια φύση.
Η καλύτερη εποχή για να τα επισκεφτείτε είναι από τις αρχές Ιουνίου ως τα τέλη Ιουλίου, όταν τα σιτοχώραφα παίρνουν ένα όμορφο χρυσαφί χρώμα που δημιουργεί μιαν εκπληκτική αντίθεση με το ζαφειρένιο μπλε του ουρανού.
Όντας πολύ κοντά στην Εγνατία Οδό (Α2), αυτές οι πόλεις είναι εξαιρετικά σημεία για μια γρήγορη επίσκεψη που θα σας δώσει μιαν ιδέα του πώς ζουν οι κάτοικοι λιγότερο τουριστικών πόλεων.
Στο πρώτο μέρος του ταξιδιού μας, ξεκινάμε από τα Γρεβενά με κατεύθυνση το χωριό Κιβωτός, που βρίσκεται στα βόρεια των Γρεβενών και περιβάλλεται από υπέροχη φύση, αλλά και απέραντα χωράφια με σιτηρά και λεβάντες.
Αλίμονο, παρόλο που τα βίντεο σας προσφέρουν μια οπτική ιδέα της φυσικής ομορφιάς αυτού του τόπου, δεν μπορούν να σας μεταφέρουν τη ζεστασιά, τα αρώματα και τους ήχους που μπορείτε να απολαύσετε σε αυτό το ταξίδι.
Αυτά είναι εμπειρίες που θα πρέπει να βιώσετε ταξιδεύοντας οι ίδιοι ως εκεί!

- A relaxing 28-minute drive video from Metsovo to Milea of Metsovo via the old Metsovo – Grevena national road, that runs thought the Northern Pindos National Park, in late-Spring 2022, accompanied by lo-fi/chillout/jazz music from Purrple Cat. We enjoy driving through the scenic, narrow roads of the beautiful town of Metsovo and then head towards the breathtaking Metsovo Plateau before making our descent to the picturesque village of Milea, where the horses roam freely, grazing in the lush green fields.

Alas, even though videos can give you a visual cue of the natural beauty, they cannot provide you with a sense of the warmth, aroma, and sounds one can enjoy in this trip.

Παρόλο που είναι κάθε άλλο παρά διάσημοι τουριστικοί προορισμοί, αυτές οι πόλεις έχουν πολλά εξαιρετικά αξιοθέατα υψηλής αρχαιολογικής και γεωλογικής αξίας, ενώ παράλληλα προσφέρουν στον ταξιδιώτη εκπληκτικά τοπία και πλούσια φύση.
Η καλύτερη εποχή για να τα επισκεφτείτε είναι από τις αρχές Ιουνίου ως τα τέλη Ιουλίου, όταν τα σιτοχώραφα παίρνουν ένα όμορφο χρυσαφί χρώμα που δημιουργεί μιαν εκπληκτική αντίθεση με το ζαφειρένιο μπλε του ουρανού.
Όντας πολύ κοντά στην Εγνατία Οδό (Α2), αυτές οι πόλεις είναι εξαιρετικά σημεία για μια γρήγορη επίσκεψη που θα σας δώσει μιαν ιδέα του πώς ζουν οι κάτοικοι λιγότερο τουριστικών πόλεων.
Στο δεύτερο μέρος του ταξιδιού μας, συνεχίζουμε από το χωριό Κιβωτός, που βρίσκεται στα βόρεια των Γρεβενών και περιβάλλεται από υπέροχη φύση, αλλά και απέραντα χωράφια με σιτηρά και λεβάντες, ως το Τσοτύλι, την αγροτική κωμόπολη που βρίσκεται ακόμα πιο βόρεια των Γρεβενών.
Αλίμονο, παρόλο που τα βίντεο σας προσφέρουν μια οπτική ιδέα της φυσικής ομορφιάς αυτού του τόπου, δεν μπορούν να σας μεταφέρουν τη ζεστασιά, τα αρώματα και τους ήχους που μπορείτε να απολαύσετε σε αυτό το ταξίδι.
Αυτά είναι εμπειρίες που θα πρέπει να βιώσετε ταξιδεύοντας οι ίδιοι ως εκεί!

- A relaxing 25-minute drive video from Kipoureio το Grevena via the old Metsovo – Grevena national road, that runs through the Northern Pindos National Park, accompanied by lo-fi/chillout/jazz music from Purrple Cat. The video was shot in late-Spring 2022. At the final part of our jounrney, we leave the village of Kipoureio and begin the descent to the golden plains of Grevena; we see the impressive bridged of A2 - Egnatia Odos, and then we travel along with the Venetikos river, circle the city of Grevena via the scenic ring road, and we complete our journey at the Eastern part of the famous mushroom city!
- Ένα χαλαρωτικό βίντεο οδήγησης 25 λεπτών από τη Μηλιά Μετσόβου ως το Κηπουρειό Γρεβενών μέσω της παλιάς εθνικής οδού Μετσόβου – Γρεβενών, που διασχίζει το Εθνικό Πάρκο της Βόρειας Πίνδου, συντροφιά με μουσική lo-fi/chillout/jazz από Purrple Cat. Το βίντεο τραβήχτηκε στα τέλη της άνοιξης 2022. Στο τελευταίο μέρος της διαδρομής μας, αφήνουμε το Κηπουρειό και ξεκινάμε την κατάβαση που θα μας φέρει στα χρυσαφένια λιβάδια των Γρεβενών. Κατά μήκος της διαδρομής βλέπουμε τις επιβλητικές γέφυρες του αυτοκινητοδρόμου Α2 - Εγνατία Οδός, έπειτα ταξιδεύουμε κατά μήκος του Βενέτικου και κινούμαστε περιμετρικά των Γρεβενών μέσω του κατάφυτου περιφερειακού, προτού ολοκληρώσουμε το ταξίδι μας στην ανατολική πλευρά της φημισμένης πόλης των μανιταριών.

According to the Greek Ministry of Tourism, the nation received about 17 million visitors from January to mid August 2007, a large number for a small country of 11 million.
